Food is good, coffee’s great! It could use more seating inside, but it is on the ground floor so there are tons of chairs around… So enjoy the fact that you have choices! :) Oh, the have both Almond & Soy milk for a lil extra, but it doesn’t bother me cuz I’m used to it ;)

This place is obviously still in business. It’s located inside the El Camino Hospital. My credit card statement showed Marya’s… so… not sure why it’s shown as closed. I had the Portobello panini for a little over $ 8, and it was superb! Creamy cheese, well seasoned portobello mushroom with roasted veggies, tasty bread. I highly recommend it!

The food is not that good. Prices are way to high. The staff is always pleasant.

This café is of walking distance from my work, so, of course, its a given I’ll stop by here. I was drawn to this place because of the work café and espresso. Haha I’ve tried their Chai, which by the way is NOMS. For a powdered form base, it’s probably the best chai I’ve tried thus far! I’ve also had their iced latte, and blended mocha. The blended mocha was ok. I wish it was thicker though. Every time I order this, the consistency is always runny. =(You think I’d learn to stop ordering this, but every now and then, I hope that maybe one day I’ll get this drink thick and not watery. Eh. But its ok. It does its job. Working long days during the week. I need the caffeine! As for food, they have a thai empanada! It was ok. Very different. lol The best tasting food I’ve tried has to be the pesto chicken panini. SUPERNOMS! I highly recommend getting it. It looks super big in the display, but you can always purchase half a panini rather than the whole. They’ve recently moved to the inside of El Camino Hospital, but its only down the street of its original location. If you work around the area, and or came for an appointment at El Camino or its surrounding doctor officies, I recommend you stop the local café!

Great little spot straight across the street from the entrance to the Women’s Hospital(Maternity). I had a chicken sandwich that hit the spot, and I especially appreciated Marya’s after later trying a cafeteria chicken sandwich. Friendly staff and good food, worth checking out if you are in the area.

Terrible service, decent food, over priced. I have had such bad service here… but yet i go back for convenience, ugh! Oh and for the coffee LOL Ive ordered a panini and stood there for 10mins, and the cashier said–«oh I’m sorry, i totally forgot». I’ve ordered the special for $ 4.95– but i was charged $ 6.95. Hello you work there, you charge people, you put the signs up… and you cant get your prices right? Ive ordered COFFEE-Hot kind– and got a cold latte! ONLY to have the staff laugh and apologize. Then they made fun of the guy that made it… Ive ordered lasagna, got to my desk unit– guess what??? HELLACOLDINTHEMIDDLE! ALMOSTFROZEN! They have never even tried to compensate for poor service.

I was in the building and stopped by for a quick lunch. I bought a simple sandwich… or so I thought. On my first bite, I swear my eyes must have dilated as I discovered that it was a PERFECT sandwich. Thinly sliced turkey, creamy Havarti and avocado – in just the right proportions and all super fresh and tasty as was the bread. I definitely want to try more items off the menu, as I overheard very positive comments by multiple customers. Marya’s is located in Melchor Pavillion across from El Camino hospital on Hospital Drive.

Tucked away on Hospital drive surrounded by hospitals this is a true gem. I discovered it accidentally as my doctor is in the same building. The café is unique in the sense they offer an interesting combination of Indian(yes Indian) and American fare. Its a mix of sandwiches, wraps, curry/rice, empanadas, salads, coffees, soups, and your typical array of baked yummy sweet stuff. I have tried most of their sandwiches(chicken pesto, pastrami, mushroom/pepper), chicken curry wraps,(they grill it for you right there) chicken empanadas, samosas, potato patties(indian.yum!), different soups(they have a daily change) and salads. Every time the food has been consistently good. The key is fresh ingredients done right. Hats off to the chef(he is Indian) and the owner who runs it very efficiently with a smile. A great find tucked away, worth the drive!
