Linda Paris-Bell, DC

Five years after a back injury from a car accident, I was still taking Darvocet, a narcotic pain killer. A co-​worker suggested I go to Dr. Paris-​Bell. Within months I was realizing relief. Nothing fixed mind you, but pain-​free without medication.
Additionally, she has successfully treated me for plantar factitious, tennis elbow and a few other maladies. She has nutritional tips. (Stevia instead of sugar.) I started a higher quality vitamin program though her, and damn, my cholesterol went down. (Krill oil instead of fish oil.)
Eight years later and it’s still a standing appointment …Every five weeks, Friday at 4:30.

I’ve visited Linda Paris-​Bell, D.C. but once, and left absolutely thrilled with my decision.
She personally greeted me with enthusiasm, warmth, big, sincere smiles and welcoming gestures.
Our small talk relaxed me and led me to realize she was down-​to-​Earth and not a pretentious person. What is more, she is a truly seasoned vet.
The treatment was much like the 100s of treatments I’ve had throughout my long life, a life in which chiropractic has been about 95% of my entire health care routine.
I believe it is helpful to come to any chiropractor with prior experience so that one is not off-​put by this or that about the procedures one experiences and undergoes.
Dr. Paris-​Bell was thorough, quick, efficient, professional, and positive about what she was doing and extremely responsible in handling my weary, sore, tender and stiff body.
Oh, though she’d probably not be able to do it every time one tries, she opened her doors to me as a «walk-​in,» one who literally braked suddenly, then whipped into her parking lot off the southbound El Camino.
I was extremely relieved to find her, and will revisit on a regular basis whenever I am in the Bay Area on business… as I am annually.
Thanks and have a healthy life … Linda Paris-​Bell, D.C., will be THE ONE to help facilitate that reality.

I wish this was my doctor. She actually worked for my former employers lawyers. She was extremely professional.

Linda is the best chiropractor, I am having shoulder and neck pain due to my work, she gave me the right massage and therapy and I feel much better each time I see her.

I rarely write reviews but in this case I think Dr. Paris-​Bell really deserved some justice. It seems that some people are seeing medical doctors to get some warmth and enjoy the office décor. As for me, I see doctors when I need their service and expertise. And this is where Dr Paris-​Bell is hard to beat. I was seeing doctor on several occasions and every time she has exceeded my expectation on how fast she can get me back on track. Superb!

I have been under the care of Dr. Paris-​Bell since I moved here in 1997 and she has given me very good care. I was in a bad auto accident, years ago, and still have lots of residual issues. [BTW, my car was hit head on by a drunk driver while I was driving home from work.] My case is somewhat complex with nerve damage etc. I moved here and needed to find a chiro and she was recommended. I am very picky about my caregivers, and have seen lots of Dr. s Dr. Paris-​Bell has always been very professional and personable and effective in treating me. I recommend her without reservation!

I do lots of horseback riding, and I am always getting sore. Dr. Paris-​Bell
makes wonderful adjustments and is always helpful. She is very kind, and it is
easy to get an appointment whenever I hurt. She is also very smart about other things, too. I would recommend that anyone who has been too scared to go to
a chiropractor should definitely try her.

I really like Dr. Paris! I started at this office with Dr. Thurber a few years back, but transitioned to Dr. Paris when the other Dr. was on leave. She’s been great. I don’t go consistently, but do go when I feel a back spasm coming on or after an injury. I am always treated right away, and can almost always get a same day appointment. My favorite thing is that there is NO pressure for ongoing visits as I’ve had in some offices before. I know when my body is starting to feel bad and when it’s time, and she’s totally ok with that. I’d definitely recommend this office!

I few months ago I pulled out a rib in the gym while I was doing some exercises so my back and neck flared up. I was in extreme pain so I visited Linda Paris-​Bell to get some help. She fixed me in about 5 or 6 visits. I thought the process was lengthy and that she was really taking her time. I assume that’s probably because of how serious my condition was. The doctor seems to know what she is doing. However, she is cold and that’s probably the main reason why I’ll look for another chiropractor.

I know how hard it is to find a chiropractor who resonates with me. I want full attention, quality manipulation, and results. I found Dr. Linda Paris-​Bell to be this and more. I’ve been to at least five other chiropractors over the years, each competent, but never outstanding. I arrived at the doctor’s office two years ago, suffering from sciatica for 18 months. In one visit, the pain stopped. I never expected results this quickly. I see her whenever I’ve got something going on physically. Currently, I have a wrist that gets out of sorts a couple times a year, originally due to an injury in 2003. She is always available for a same day office visit, should I need immediate attention.
I don’t understand some of these negative reviews here. Dr. Paris-​Bell is a great listener, asks appropriate questions, is always spot-​on with care, diagnosis and focus. She is an advocate for her patients, and is generous and kind with her attention to what is at hand. Chiropractic care doesn’t get any better than this.

I had never gone to a chiropractor before but I have seen her for 4 different issues now — over the course of 2 years. I really like her a lot. First I saw her for a shoulder issue, then upper back, then lower back during pregnancy and then carpal tunnel due to pregnancy. The first three issues were resolved within one visit! I couldn’t believe the instant relief. The carpal tunnel has been better ever since visit 1, however not cured by any means. I am now a believer in chiropractors!

I had been to a chiropractor before but needed to find a new one since re-​locating to the area. I would definitely NOT recommend Dr. Bell to anyone.
I never felt that her adjustments were effective (I couldn’t even feel them because of the way she had the table move down while adjusting — some may like this but I’d like to know that an adjustment is actually occurring).
She was good at massage — but I could go to a masseuse if I needed a good massage.
She also has an awkward demeanor. She walks backward all the way to the adjustment room, which she may do in order to face you or because she does not trust to turn her back on you, who knows, either way it was not comforting.
I definitely should have Unilocaled a chiropractor back then, like the other person who wrote a review, she was on the list from my insurance company.

I am a martial arts student and teacher, and because of this my body takes a lot of punishment. I have been seeing Dr. Paris Bell (note: it’s not Bell Paris) for over a year now, with a variety of injuries to my neck, shoulders, chest, back, and hips. On one occasion (just «to be safe», and as somebody being somewhat skeptical of chiropractors), I saw my primary care physician to treat me for an injury that Dr. PB was concurrently treating me for. After spending a sizeable chunk of $$$$ for x-​rays and mri’s, I was given the same diagnosis as what Dr. PB told me after one –CONSIDERABLY less expensive– treatment. My doctor took the predictable and ineffective «take two of these and call me in a week if it still hurts» approach, while Dr. PB took care of business in a few sessions. Speaking as somebody who has been to a wide array of doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, and «alternative» healers, I can honestly say that Dr. PB has provided the most concise, consistent, and effective treatment that I have received. She is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and is willing and able to accommodate my fluctuating schedule and treatment needs.

Oh my gosh I tell you this because I care, Please don’t go to her! I’ve never been to a chiropractor before but she was on my insurance list of people I could see. I was in so much pain I forgot to Unilocal her to see. I figured she’s a woman I’m a woman it’ll be fine. She’ll help me and I’ll be up and moving again. I walked in in pain but walked out in even more pain on CRUTCHES! It literally took me 2 hours to leave crying the whole way. I couldn’t get up after her adjustment. I could barely stand I was in so much pain. The next day I went to another chiropractor (Cathy Cira in San Carlos who is awesome and worth the drive) who did an x-​ray and saw I had a compressed disc in my lower back which was now really inflamed. Talk about painful. Linda made it worse probably without knowing but still. I expect to walk into a chiropractor to walk out feeling better not disabled. She did however call me that night to check in which I told her while still crying I still was in immense pain. Not being able to sleep and crawling to the bathroom and to the frig for an icepack all night long I called her the next morning to cancel my followup. She asked me to give her a call after I saw the other doctor. Which I did and interestingly enough she didn’t want to speak with me this time or call me back. I left the message with her receptionist.
A first experience with a chiropractor. I’m glad I went elsewhere. Honestly you can’t just go to a doctor and believe they are going to help. I’ve learned that lesson the hard way. Instead of being out of work for a day just to take it easy I’m now out for almost a week to fix this problem.
