We came here one day for lunch and got the catfish fillet and some hush puppies the catfish was good it could be improved a lot if the tarter sauce didnt have a vinegar taste to it. i was eating the catfish with out sauce because i couldnt stand the taste of the tarter sauce. other then that it was good but nothing special. The inside is okay, it has the cheap banquet chairs and tables and not much decoration. The catfish was pretty good. Not the best I have had more to an okay. Hush puppies were good, the tarter sauce had a strange taste like vinegar or something. Food was just okay, not really anything special.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday and it was pretty crowded. There is plenty of parking though in a make shift lot where you can pretty much park wherever you want. It is a sit down restaurant that has a view of the river and a boat rental place down below. Their setting is not formal at all and there were a lot of kids there. There is a playground outside that I believe is shared with the lodging that is offered onsite. The salad bar is in a canoe, which I thought was a fun touch. The things in the salad bar are not that great, but it looks cool. Our server was great though, and even brought out from the kitchen what they grill the fish in. We got the catfish lunch and popcorn shrimp. It was decent, but nothing amazing. Given the area, this is a good place to eat.

Cool place. Had a great time with the whole family. Atmosphere was wonderful. The view of the river was beautiful bad the food was delicious. But don’t eat too much. Because the fried coconut cream pie is probably the Best Thing you ever ate in your entire life. I probably could have chewed some more but no way I could have swallowed it.

Such a great find! We were headed to the brick oven place and this nice man at the candy store in town recommended Jo Jo’s. Worth the jaunt, it’s a little out of town, but has a great setting for a little fishing town. They serve This«tomato relish» that is complimentary and with a bowl of pinto beans and a big bowl of fresh hush puppies. I could have stopped there. It’s basically green tomatoes that are sweet and pickled. Delicious. The catfish was clean tasting and good size portions. The tartar sauce is homemade and some of the best I have ever had. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. I should add it was cheap to go along with it. No booze though as it is a dry county, but it didn’t matter. Worth it!!!

This place is located right by the river which made for a nice view while eating. Our waitress was really sweet. We ordered catfish, popcorn shrimp, fried pickles & hush puppies. The portions were huge! We tried to eat what we could but it looked like we barely put a dent in our food. The food was good for what it was, especially the catfish. It was definitely a heavy meal with all the fried-ness. But it was good nonetheless. Definitely come here on an empty stomach. & prices are decent.

Everything needed a little more salt, but other than that it was a cheap, and delicious meal! First of all, the portions were HUGE. To start, they brought us out a basket of delicious hush puppies to share, and each of us bowls of green tomato relish(vinegary and spicy!) and pinto beans(great flavor, just needed more salt. We both ordered catfish and it was served with fries & coleslaw. I don’t like coleslaw, but the fries and the fish were so delicious(once I added more salt). The fish had a thin outer coating, so it was the perfect amount of crispiness and flaky fish. And once I added more salt, the fries were right up there as some of the best I’ve ever had. SO crispy and golden on the outside, and soft on the inside. I hate that we were too full after our meals to have dessert, because everything looked delicious, and the lady at the next table was really enjoying her pie… but oh well. There’s always next time!

Ate here once, had the heavily breaded fried catfish and pinto beans. OK, and the hushpuppies were OK. No alcohol, but that could change, since Anglers down the road recently got a «private club» permit.

great service, excellent side dishes, fun atmosphere. The catfish could have been a bet better, It was clearly previously frozen. You’d think a «catfish wharf» would have fresh catfish but I’d definitely go back.

Really good catfish and sides but the coconut fried pie was the best I’ve had. Man, that pie was good. The service was excellent!
