I bought a Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra last week. I was very nicely surprised with a level of service and quality of the bike I ended up purchasing. Shawn was very supportive and not pushy at all. He answered all my questions, and I had many. He was very knowledgeable and convinced me to buy the bike. I did it knowing I have 2 months warranty and I can go back anytime and have it fixed/​checked. So far everything is perfect. They even delivered the bike to my house! Talk about service and going an extra mile for the client. I strongly recommend this place.

I was looking to buy a Harley and visited several Harley dealerships around my area to check prices and see what they had to offer. I went through the whole process at 2 different dealerships and they were not able to work with the price I was looking for, it was so petty that they both let me go for just a few dollars and I literally mean just a few dollars.
Then I found an ad online for the Harley I was looking for in Mountain View, really far away from me since I live in Tracy. I took a drive up there and when I walked in I was greeted by Richard, he was very nice and showed the the 2015 Night Rod Special I was looking for, he was very laid back and I did not feel pressured at all. I told him what I was looking for as far as payments and told me he was almost certain he could work with that price so we ran my credit and ran the numbers and after adjusting the price a little bit (which the Harley dealerships were not willing to do) we came to the exact monthly payments I was looking for.
After all that, I almost decided not to get the bike after finding out that my insurance company wanted to charge an arms and a leg for my new Harley. I discussed it with Richard and he set me up with an insurance broker they work with and got me a good deal. So I purchased the bike but since I went alone all the way to Mountain View from Tracy, I had no way to bring the Harley with me and my car at the same time. He set me up with a motorcycle towing company that do a lot of tows for them at a really fair price and I just went home that night.
The next morning they delivered the bike to me which was awesome. I’ve had the bike for 4 months now and enjoying every minute of it thanks to the guys at J&M Motorsports. When I’m ready to add another bike to my collection, I will be visiting them for sure.

I went by today, I have been on the lookout for a CRF450X for trail riding in the winter. I ended up talking to Clif for hours about motorcycles, he introduced me to the mechanics (super friendly guys) even the shop mascot a beautiful pit bull named Brutus. No pressure. Showed me a few things and told me whenever im interested in buying come take a look. Im definitely coming here to buy my trail bike this summer to have it ready for winter. Go see these guys!!! They are super awesome!!!

My boyfriend and I have been shopping all around the bay area for a new bike, so we’ve been to quite a few places already.
I stopped by this location twice and had pleasant experiences both times. The environment here is very chill and relaxed. All of the attendants here that I spoke to (Cliff, Shawn, and Richard) allowed us to browse leisurely and offered their insights and helpful knowledge on whatever bike we were looking at. A major plus is that the bikes in the back weren’t super crammed together so you could easily sit and do a 360 view of the bikes.
Their customer service (Cliff’s service in particular) is what brought us back a 2^nd time. As a new rider, I really appreciated a lot of his tips and feedback on different bikes. I wasn’t even looking to buy a bike, my boyfriend was so it was very cool of him to give me some more pointers since I told him I didn’t learn too much knowledge wise from my 3-​day riding class.
Compared to other places that have profiled myself and my boyfriend as not «serious» customers it was nice to stop by a place that treated us well. The staff seems genuinely happy to help so you can tell it’s not all about a sales goal based on their relaxed approach.
If and when I’m ready to upgrade the bike I will be using (Ninja 300) I’ll check this place out

I live in Oakland and didn’t even know where Mountain View was. After shopping around and talking with a couple of the staff at J&M I decided it was worth the drive. Not only did I get an incredible deal, but the customer service was top rate! Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Shawn ended up ringing me up and made the whole process simple and easy. I usually find that you either get price or service, but not both. This place was a rare exception. I got the best of both worlds, and I will definitely be back!

This place doesn’t even deserve this one star. I bought my first bike from them not really knowing much. I did suspect oil on the fairings but didn’t really think much of it because I thought they’d inspect everything before selling. 3 weeks after owning the bike, Massive amounts of oil started shooting out of the frame slider hole which caused me to slip and laid the bike down at a stop. Took the bike in and they didn’t want to take any responsibilities to fix it because I laid the bike down and «that’s what caused it to leak.» The head was cracked when I bought the bike and the crack got worse within the 3 weeks I’ve owned it. They tried to JBweld the crack and take short cuts for temporary but nothing worked so the Only thing they suggested was make a bullshit insurance claim.
So that’s what I did. I went through insurance and had Sporttech cycles take apart the whole motor to find out that dropping the bike had nothing to do with the oil leak. The previous owner that sold this dealer the bike had drilled the frame slider crooked and right through the head. I ended up having to pay the $ 1000 deductible out of pocket.
Came back a few weeks later (in a super nice mood, no bitching) to try and deal with them with proof to atleast be fair on what I paid out of pocket to fix it. All I asked was to get my deductible back or a pair of brand new tires which isn’t much at all. I even brought a friend with me to buy a bike but I told him to hold off till they get back to me. They wrote all this down and said they will tell (Mike or Mark), the owner. Which was out on vacation and never got back to me since.
This place only cares about money. They are a total rip off and have a very bad reputation. Everyone and other dealers have only told me bad things about this place. I wish I knew before buying.
I wouldn’t suggest anyone buying a used bike from here. I have told this story to many dealers, shops and fellow riders.
Currently looking to file law suite against them. Have enough proof so this will not be a problem

I just moved to the Bay area from So cal. I posted my GSXR for sale and sold it to J&M. I can say working in the Dealership industry for several years. these guys are really professional. It made my selling experience transparent and straight forward. I would actually come back and buy my next bike from these guys at some point. They are friendly and respectful. This business has horrible service, we called in advance before the business closed and told them we would come in a little before 7pm. The guy on the phone said it was okay. As soon as we arrived around 6:45pm we were refused service. I guess they don’t want to make money. I would rate them a 0 star.

Showed up twice with 18k to spend and not one salesperson gave me the time of day. I found out that they are not on commission which might explain the lack of interest in selling a motorcycle. I did speak to one salesman on the phone who was somewhat friendly, but everyone else was really not. I’ll buy my motorcycle elsewhere.

I have purchased two motorcycles from J&M Motorsports now, and my experience has been excellent on both occasions. Shawn has been my point of contact both times, and has been knowledgable, friendly, and very accommodating. He has helped guide me to find a great bike that fits my needs/​desires and has gone above and beyond to work with me on the pricing and payment. I will likely have my current bike for some time, but when I’m ready for something new I will definitely be returning to J&M.

The worst of the worst.

they can, My first bike was from this place was an YAMAHA R6 I got this bike without test driving or anything, After couple of days riding it I got bulled over by motorcycle cops,
and they were telling me that the back tire has to be changed,
I told them I just bought it from J&M and the cops were looking at each others and one of them told me oh I knew that place, This is a crapy dealer,
I went back to them and told them about it and they refused to change the tires also the guy was such an asshole I told him that I will take him to court because he is selling motorcycles along with illegal after market parts,
And this is the only reason he decided to change it for me.
After this I asked him to trade my bike for another bike so I got it and after taking the bike and going to the gas station less than a mile away from the dealer,
I saw the battery cover was hanging down I held the cover to place by my hands and the other on the throttle riding back to the dealer,
they took at least 1 hour just to fix this after a week of riding the while am riding odometer holders got broken and they were hanging on top of the gas tank,
I had to take back again for the second time, The this guys said oh I think this happened because the holders were aluminum so I am going to get metal this time and I was just do whatever man just fix it, Again after a week or so I was riding on the high way and stopped to get gas and looking down at the bike and the battery cover were gone I bought another cover from Harely shop for 150 $ and I went back to the dealer showing him the receipt that I had paid for this and its not far because they said they fixed it and they never did !,
Its a bad customer service bad motorcycles the most expensive dealer for no reason they are not honest about anything. If I can make this review –5 stars I would for sure do it, And not to mention that for both of the bikes I’ve never received the license plates for the.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME YOUR BETTER OFF WITH ANOTHER GOOD DEALER !!

My battery was dead and I needed jumper cables. I call J&M Motorsports and they were so friendly to lend them to me! Super awesome service!!!

I consigned a motorcycle at J&M Motorsports for the convenience factor. They offer a great service. They display your bike in their showroom and they are able to provide financing, and handle all DMV paperwork. J&M sold my motorcycle within a couple of days! They are a pleasure to work with, and they are accommodating.
If you are buying a bike or selling, I wouldn’t hesitate to do business there.
You don’t have to waste your time on no-​shows and phony cashiers checks, or worse.
I am very happy with their services.

I just got back from the shop, I had the money, in cash, to buy a bike.
I was still deciding between 3 bikes.
Shawn the sales person was pushing me into a bike that i wasn’t interested in.
I asked if i can do a test drive. I was told that i will have to buy a bike first, then take it out for 30min if I don’t like it they will let me buy another one! (fair enough? i don’t know!)
Finally i decided on a honda CBR500R. I tried to see if the price can be dropped a bit as the price of the bike was too high (~$ 2000 above the KBB value).
He seemed not interested, as this is a consignment bike and he wasn’t making much profit from it. I asked if he could talk to the owner, and he said no!
it seemed like the bike that just came in, and he wasn’t in a hurry to sell it!
He was fully aware that they are at least 1000 USD above the KBB price for every bike in the shop.
He kept talking about how the KBB doesn’t reflect the prices of the area, and they are the ones that set the economy, as this is the Silicon Valley and we have a different economy than the rest of the country!
The honda CBR was marked at $ 5900 and an additional Memorial day special discount of $ 200, a total of $ 6200 after tax and fees.

The bike’s value on KBB is $ 3970

Please people don’t let businesses like that take advantage of you.
Not because we work hard and make money, we get abused.
I know he thinks that someone will walk in and just pay the marked price without going through the hassle of researching and actually ask for a fair price!
I will never do business with this place. It seems like most of the reviewers are beginner riders.

I’ve purchased 2 motorcycles here in the past year. They have an excellent selection to choose from. The first bike I bought was a CBR from Mark and the other an R6 from Shawn. I had excellent experiences both times. They don’t negotiate on the price so it actually makes it a hassle free experience. They helped me get financed and insurance at a great price. The last bike… The R6 had a broken fairing when I bought it and Shawn told me he’d get me a new one. I thought it was complete BS… a few days later he called and said it was in. I was stoked since I’ve dealt with automotive dealerships before that tell you something just to get it sold.
Awesome experience both times. I’m definitely going to buy my next bike here again when I get another one.

I was trying to find my first motorcycle so I was thinking to get a used one. I tried a few places in South Bay. J&M probably has the most selections than other stores.
The staffs are all very friendly, helpful and patience with me and my wife. Since we are the first time buyer, Shawn gave us a lot of suggestions and advices.
I also got two pleasant surprises.
1– they actually will buy it back from you for 80% of the purchase price within 12 months if you don’t want it or want to upgrade to something else. I think this is very good.
2– after a few weeks, they actually sent me a refund check because the DMV charge was just estimated. If they didn’t send it back to me, I wouldn’t know it. It was only $ 15 but make you feel that this is a shop that you want to do business with.
Don’t waste your time shop for used motorcycle. This is the place!!! Selections and friendly honest staffs, what else can you ask for?

Where do I begin. I had an amazing experience at this place. AMAZING. Thank you, Shawn, for putting me on the perfect starter bike for me.
I stumbled into this oasis of gently used motorcycles by pure accident (was just driving by really, the selection of what looked like preowned bikes caught my eye). Rode away on a CBR250 about an hour later. 200mi and a couple of days later, came in with my tail between my legs and asked for a bigger bike. Rode away in less than an hour on a CB500 °F, leaving the 250 behind. 6hours and 150mi after that, and now completely exhausted, I am one blissful glob of a newbie.
Excellent attitude/​service, great selection, no-​bs. Will bring my bike right back here when I’m ready to graduate again (hopefully in more than a couple of days this time).

I purchased my first bike from these guys. I stopped by, told them it was my first bike and Shawn pointed me at several good first bikes. I left and decided that the SV650 would be good choice. When I went back, I was fortunate enough to chat up Richard, who told me he just traded his old bike in for a new one. A nice blue SV650, stripped down and naked. Same year, similar milage, but tons nicer looking that the original bike I had been looking at.
Shawn said they could put a new chain on the same say and get everything cleanup and ready to go by end of business. No hassle, no fuss, no pressure.

I purchased a 2003 Suzuki SV650 from J&M early this month. It’s my first bike, and although it was an older model, it was exceptionally clean given the age — like much of the inventory on their floor. It was a pleasant shopping experience. I told the salesperson, Justin, that I had just gotten my license, and I told him about what kind of bike I was looking for. He recommended the SV650 because it offered enough power to commute on the freeway while still being easy to ride for a beginner. Shawn helped me through the finance process. It was quick and easy. He also got me in touch with their insurance broker, and I got a great low rate in under ten minutes.
I’m completely satisfied with my purchasing experience at J&M. I’m really happy with my SV650, and I’ll likely go back when it comes time to move onto another bike.

TL;DR. Nice bike, horrible office experience. Still no tags 2.5 months later; tags expired.
EDIT: a week after writing my review, sticker came in the mail along with a check for $ 1, which I will keep as a souvenir.
Pros: Nice bike selection, good pricing. The bike I purchased runs nicely as promised and expected, since test rides are not allowed.
Cons: They are not at all organized. Two months after purchasing, I still hadn’t received my tags. Called in, and was told they’d look into it and call back. They did not call back.
Called again, and the owner told me there was a clerical error (they overcharged me $ 1), and the tags were sitting in the office along a refund check. Promised to send it to me. Nothing received.
Called again one week later, and asked someone to find out when it was sent, and to call me back. Did not receive a call back.
Called again. Owner told me it went out, but he didn’t know when since they don’t have a regular post office pickup, and the only mail that goes out is what the receptionist hands the mailman. (Really?) He asked me to wait two more days, implying somehow that the USPS takes 12 days to send a letter with stickers 12 miles.
I’m now on a total of five call backs, and no one on their side wants to do anything to get me my tags. So instead, I have to go to Unilocal,the DMV, and city of Mountian View, etc. Really just wish they’d take responsibility and get me my registration stickers.
