I just had an awesome experience with Incotec. I’m doing a full kitchen remodel and discovered in the middle of demolition that we really needed to replace our Garden Window. And without the new window, we would need to wait on the granite installation. So I needed to get one quickly! Our regular window installers couldn’t get me a window for three weeks. I called Dennis and he came out the same day to meet with me. During that meeting, he took detailed measurements so we could avoid a few steps in the process. His labor price was very competitive and promised to do all the outside wood construction as well. The window itself was just a little more than my regular installer because he’s a TruFrame dealer… my other guys order through Milgaard whom apparently get a volume discount. But the customer service, speed of delivery and installation I received was well worth the little extra money spent. Not only was Dennis able to promise me an earlier installation date than my regular guys, the window came in quicker than expected so he juggled his schedule and bumped up that installation date. His son (who was also really nice) came out to do the installation and they were efficient and thorough. He communicated everything with me as he was installing the window and made sure the new frame matched up with my cabinets so that I can install my granite flush into the window. They even repainted my outside trim and cleaned up after themselves. Everything was done in four hours! Amazing. Dennis was so easy to work with and the end result was beautiful. I love my new window and because of Incotec, my kitchen project hasn’t been delayed. I would definitely recommend doing business with them.

Did not have a good experience working with the company to remodel our kitchen. The one good thing I can say is that they were easy people to work with. They were extremely patient in the design phase of the project when, admittedly we were unsure of the direction we wanted to proceed.
However, that does not overcome all the other issues we had working with them. For paying a premium to have general contractor manage the remodel, there seemed to be no end to the problem.
We had to verify and double check their work more than I would have thought we had to. Things as basic as windows and plumbing being framed out in the wrong locations for example, we should not have had to deal with. We pointed out things to make the job easier in the long run and many times it was ignored.
They made decisions about things for us, and without our final approval. The cabinets, for example were not exactly what we wanted and when we asked for them to be changed we were first told that it was not possible, and then were bulled into accepting what we had by being told it would effect the completion date.
They gave us little lead time to make final decisions on important points like tile selection, for example. They had committed to helping us with purchasing the appliances, then backed out, and advice to rush delivery at that point. In fact they managed the time-​line of events very poorly overall.
They misled us on several points, telling us they had a large design staff, but it became apparent that they relied on one of the larger home improvement stores for much of that. We were told that there would be onsite supervision 100% of the time, but in fact, a foreman would only occasionally show up. Its arguable whether they really intended to make the original completion date as well. Looking back at it now, it was pretty unrealistic.
They had various problems with their sub-​contractors, some went AWOL, some would show up at odd times with inadequate equipment. There were also some excellent subs as well. Some we have engaged with on our own for further enhancements.
At the end of the day, things did finally get done, and we are satisfied with job, but we certainly are not happy with the way we got there.
