History

Established in 2010.

I grew up in a math-​oriented family and participated in variety of math competitions (Kangaroo International — 1^st and 2^nd degree prizes, Math Olympiad — state-​level final, and many local competitions) for over 13 years.

Lack of passion I saw in schools, and a very old-​school, homework-​based approach to teaching math inspired me to help students progress, and truly experience the real — interesting and analytical — nature of math.

I have been tutoring for over 7 years.

After I was not able to handle the demand myself, I decided to hire tutors to reach and help more students.

I was raised in a math-​oriented family and was taught math at home since I was 5 years old.

Starting in the 1 st grade and up through college, I successfully participated in Kangaroo International (1^st and 2^nd degree prizes), Math Olympiad (state level rewards), Amatyc and other smaller math competitions.

In high school I turned my passion for math into tutoring and mentoring.

My first tutoring «job» was helping my neighbor, Damian, with trigonometry. I was paid with chocolate and Gatorade (humble beginnings).

A while later, I started private tutoring children around the Bay Area and worked at two successful tutoring centers in Campbell and Mountain View.

While in college, I worked with a lot of students and was able to support myself through tutoring. That’s how Himpax was born.
