Handle with Care Moving

Superb. It truly is handle with care. They were very very careful when taking stuff in and out of our homes. Super friendly as well.

Mike, Sylvan and Nick moved us within mountain view from old house to new house on Dec 30. They moved furniture as well as a variety of trees and gardening items and were excellent — careful, efficient and professional. We were happy to support a local business and give them our highest recommendation.

Mike and his team handled my move from San Mateo to San Diego last month. It was a tricky move, because there was a delay of one month in between moving out of my place in San Mateo and moving down to SD. Mike was very helpful with suggestions of how best to handle the details to make the move as smooth as possible. He always returned my calls quickly and was friendly. His team was on time to the minute, and very professional. They asked questions before just dropping boxes here and there– asking me where I’d like things. Both parts of the move could not have gone better. I have made major moves over 10 times in my lift and this is the first time everything has gone perfectly, all boxes were in tact and nothing was broken! Plus… they are all just really nice people. Needless to say, I highly recommend them.

Handle with Care moved us out of our 1-​bedroom apartment into a larger condo and all I can say is that they did a great job! They showed up on time on a Saturday morning and went over the whole process with us and also explained how they were going to package certain fragile items. After that, they quickly went to work moving everything and were very efficient. When they were moving everything into our new place they took great care and also helped us with arranging furniture. Nothing was broken during the process.
Very nice and worth hiring if you need movers!

We’ve moved around quite a bit, and I can say that this was our easiest move hands down, thanks to Mike and his team. Mike was a pleasure to work with — professional, competent and he went the extra mile to provide excellent service. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Better Than Expected!
Mike and Sylvan really did handle my belongings with extra care. They were efficient, gentle, careful, and pleasant to interact with. They even tightened up some loose screws on my bed frame, desk drawers, and office chair, making them more stable and comfortable than they had been in years. Not one item was scratched or dinged in the moving process.

We first used Handle with Care back in July 2011 to do a local move in the Bay Area. We didn’t have much stuff back then and the move was finished in half a day, including an hour drive between locations. We hired them again this year where our stuff had more then doubled since the last move — filled up the entire truck and a spill over van. But they finished everything in 8 hours (even with three flights of stairs at one location). We really enjoyed working with them both times — very professional and friendly. Everything was wrapped up nicely and nothing was damaged. It was also nice that the crew was the same from four years ago.

The 2 crew team showed up Saturday to pack our house & garage, all I can say is what a out standing stupindious job. They asked questions even asked if they could use the restroom. They didn’t take things for granted, making sure what we wanted packed and than staging everything in a nice manor so we could still get around that night. They were done in about 4hrs wow they worked straight thru not even taking a real break.
Sunday morning Mike and his crew showed up and got to work, stay out of their way because they move fast. Once at our new location Mike asked if there were any special request. I requested that all of my holiday items be placed in the same area and that all pictures were placed in our spare room. To me it takes a special team to be able to do put items where you requested while you sit around and do nothing but watch them bust there butts for you.
If I every move again if they are still in bussiness I will deffinetly call them.

Moves can be extremely unpredictable, but in this case, Mike made it flawless. They did not break or lose ONE item. They worked hard to keep my costs low and to use recycled materials whenever possible. They treated my family’s possessions with the utmost in care and respect.
They were super-​fast and entirely efficient. And they came in under budget!
I wish I had known about Handle with Care for all of my previous moves. I couldn’t recommend more strongly.

Nick and his team handled my move with care, grace, and the utmost professionalism. I’ve used HWC twice now in the past four years and both times they exceeded my expectations. They communicated clearly what they were going to do, how long it would take, and how much they were going to charge.
On moving day, they showed up on time, were very respectful, and handled my belongings very gently. I had already packed everything into boxes. Watching them move my heavy sofabed down an outdoor staircase with twists and turns was like watching a coordinated ballet. They were also happy to disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed; it was as if my four-​poster bed was simply teleported into the new house!
I’ve found my movers and will never use anyone else again.

I have used Mike and his team to move me several times over the last seven to eight years. These guys are fantastic ! They are professional, courteous and always on time. They are well networked with the community and provide excellent guidance for the go-​to place for storage or any other move related services they don’t provide. They have always made my moving experiences a very efficient and enjoyable enterprise. I would recommend them to anyone !!!

Mike and his team were the highlight of our move to our new home. I was incredibly stressed out in the weeks leading up to our move. I had called Mike and two other companies for quotes. Mike was the only one who wanted to come to our house first to give an accurate quote. That made me feel a lot better about his preparedness for our move and accuracy in how much he’d charge. On the day of the move, he and his two guys were so friendly and really made us feel like they cared about us and our stuff. They were super efficient. They also accommodated moving some living room furniture that we had purchased earlier and stored next door. Nice guys, great customer service — I hope I don’t have to move again, but if I do or if someone I know needs a referral, I’ll tell them call Handle with Care Moving!

This review is long overdue. We moved about a year ago and used Mike’s company.
I guess they were doing a move in my neighborhood today and the guys waved as they passed our house. I’m surprised they still remembered moving us. That was nice.
Mike and his team were great! They are very professional and were quick and efficient. Plus, they were really nice people. We thought it would take all day, but we were pleasantly surprised to be done by mid-​afternoon. Prices are reasonable as well. We only moved a ½ hour away from our previous place. He and his team moved all our furniture and good amount of boxes.
We had all our stuff packed in boxes already. They just had to load the boxes and move all our furniture.
We were really impressed with the way they wrapped our furniture. They wrapped it really well in plastic (it’s impressive to watch them do this) and fit everything in their truck so that nothing moved around. They made sure all our furniture was placed the way we wanted it and even had felt pads to put on our furniture where it was needed. They were good thick felt pads too.
We were very happy that we chose this company to do our move. Hopefully we won’t be moving any time soon, but if we do, we would definitely use them again. Thanks!

I had Mike and his team help my family move to our new home and it was a fantastic experience with awesome customer service. I was referred by a good friend who had used Handle with Care months prior.
I called Handle with Care about a month before I was scheduled to move so that I could secure a date that I wanted. Mike put us on the calendar and on the night before the move he even met up with us (at 9:00pm!) because it was the only time I was available to go through the moving day plan. He was very courteous and polite, and didn’t even try to upsell me on anything (other people we talked to tried to get us to buy premium insurance). Mike was very honest and upfront, and saved us a lot of money.
On moving day, his staff of 3 came over and moved everything and packed everything so neatly and nicely. They too were very polite and respectful, and were flexible enough to make a stop along the way to pick up some additional stuff from another location that had to be moved to our new place.
All in all an excellent experience and would absolutely recommend them and would use them again for all moving needs in the future!

Unfortunately I cannot give six stars, but what I can do is just say WOW. We needed to have two homes moved from Mountain View to Atherton. Other businesses were charging extra for the additional stop; not Handle with Care!!! In addition, Other companies wanted to charge me for incidentals included with the move such as blankets, sleeves for glass tables, etc. Handle with Care includes everything in their quote of $ 100 for two movers, and you will not find a more dependable crew.
Mike and his company were as professional as any others and very competitive with their pricing. Mike even visited me for a quote ahead of time and called ahead prior to the move to confirm. This was big in my book.
The day of the move, Sylvan and Nick did a wonderful job arriving a few minutes early. They wasted no time getting to work. There is not enough good things to say about Sylvan’s demeanor and professionalism. And man is he strong!
After making the two stops, we arrived to our new home and discovered that we had some unexpected things that needed rearranging in the basement. They didn’t bat an eye and got right to it. I thought to myself that is crazy because it was a Friday and I knew this might make them late to their next job. These guys go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and even called a few hours after they left to make sure everything was okay. Are you kidding me. Who does that!!!
We were so lucky to find this company and will be recommending them to anyone who asks. My only regret was not giving them a bigger tip. Trust me, you can’t go wrong with Handle with Care.

My heart breaks to leave a low rating, because Mike was nice, and the other guys were nice as well.
I will not bore you with an overly long whiney complaint. I will just tell you the basics of what happened. We hired Handle With Care Moving for a move that was from Palo Alto to approximately 2 hours away. We hired the movers to pack our home, including furniture, boxes etc., and to transport and deliver.
We paid for new boxes, but after delivery, we noticed that the boxes were labeled with several different things. For example, one corner read «Living Room» and the second corner read «master bedroom closet.» Then on the bottom it read «dog’s furniture.» We do not even own a dog. … We were so confused, and disappointed. We realized that they had used previously used boxes for our move. But they charged us for new boxes. It made the unpacking process a nightmare. We also had very expensive antiques and art pieces that were broken in the move. We liked these guys on a personal level, a lot! But, they fell incredibly short on the entire move from beginning to end. We used them for every service that they offer, not just picking up boxes and going. They wrapped furniture, packed personal items, moved and unloaded our things. However, it all fell short. Very disappointed overall.
If you decide to go with these guys, I am sure that they will be nice to you, that is good. Just be picky and careful about what you have them handle. My wife wants me to give one star, but I am giving two, for their kindness.

I LOVE this company! I hired Handle With Care once again, this time to load my PODS.
Sylvan and Nick work together like only an experienced team can– and it makes things incredibly efficient. They are calm and über-​strong and always in a positive mood.
Mike the owner is really on top of things, so I never had a second of worry. I had to reschedule and Mike kindly made it work.
When the guys arrived, I was behind schedule (eeek!) and was running around like crazy. It was chaos. They just helped me figure out the best things to do first to sensibly move the process along, and it worked out fine.
I truly can’t recommend them enough. I wish working with every company was this effortless. :-)

We recently used Michael and his team for a move from Palo Alto to Menlo Park. This was the 3^rd time we have used them and, like every other time, their professionalism and timeliness were impeccable.
They confirmed everything in advance, showed up on time, were very flexible in helping us pack, and made the move happen quickly and without issues.
The team he had was the same group that helped us earlier and were very easy to work with. They will treat you and your belongings with tremendous respect and care!
