History

Established in 1990.

My massage training is in Seifukujitsu. I describe it as maybe the oldest clinical sports massage. It was developed by a Martial Arts Master 100 years ago to discover and treat physical injuries resulting from practicing marital arts. I have adapted it to fit current knowledge, maladies and scope of practice allowed a massage therapist today.

I have offered home visits and office visits and worked for massage establishments for 20+ years.

A friend recommended Robin about five years ago. She could not get over how he had almost miraculously, in one session, given her relief from her acute lower back pain. I needed work fro chronic pain in my neck, lower back, leg etc. Robin is the best massage therapist I have seen and I do not bother seeing anyone else. He can locate the source of a problem, work on it, explain it in great detail, etc… This helps me outside of sessions in becoming more aware of my body mechanics and preventing injuries or aggravation of chronic symptoms. After my first couple of sessions with Robin I marveled at what life could be like pain-​free. I couldn’t remember the last time I had felt that way!

I have had pain in my neck and upper shoulder area for many years from an accident as a teenager. I sometimes aggravate this injury and when I do, the pain is intense. I’ve found that by seeing Robin, I’m less injury-​prone and Robin also provides pain relief.

Robin is hands down a top level expert massage therapist and worth every cent. I have been to over a dozens of therapists and Robin is the best of them by far. That is why I have stayed with his services for several years. He ferrets out the spots in need of attention with a surgeon’s accuracy and applies just the right amount of pressure helping your body to let go of long held stress, operate at optimal efficiency, and feel rejuvenated. It is like purchasing a tailor-​made suit. Don’t waste your time and money on half-​measures when a true healer like Robin is available.

I’ve been going to Robin for ~3 years, an average of once a month. He is excellent. I have bad posture, leaving my back and neck very sore. Since seeing him, I’ve noticed a huge reduction in my day to day issues.
Robin always asks what areas he should focus on and is genuinely interested in my well being. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

He understands body mechanics at an advanced level and knows exactly what massage intervention to do. He is also the consummate professional. Easy to book with, always early, quiet, professional. I’ve discovered over the years that I have a real talent for messing my body up pretty good. I’ve been to quite a few people – at Body Kneads, SMI, Massage Therapy Center – and with Robin, for the first time, I really feel like I’m attacking and fixing the problems in my neck and back, rather than just ameliorating them.
More recently I suffered a thigh injury over the summer. Up until Robin worked on the leg, I was starting to think I was permanently walking wounded. So to anybody who’s got pain that just doesn’t seem to go away, I would seriously call Robin up.
