Two years ago a friend recommended Bay Area Max Refund to me. This is now my second year having Pranita prepare my return, and I am more than pleased. Pranita is very knowledgeable, responsive, and prompt — highly recommended.

Rude, not upfront. Asks for more charges later if you do not have your trades in csv. She does not know how to do Schedule D properly. If you have ESPP, RSUs or stock trades, avoid. She will charge you for partially done returns and leave it to you to do the rest.
When I went to her place, Pranita requested CSV copies of statements from my brokerage firm if available. Since the brokerage firms I use do not offer this, I was unable to provide this. 2 weeks later, Pranita calls and tells me that there will be an additional charge because I do not have a CSV format!!! Whaaaattt!!! Further more, she went ahead and deposited the check that I paid, and told me that she will not refund it because she spent some hours on my returns! Extremely rude, unprofessional, inexperienced CPA. I would avoid at all cost.

Pranita, at BayAreaMaxRefund is great! She was recommened by a friend a 2 years ago and we’ve used here two times now. She is prompt, thorough, and as the company name implies really does find tax savings that the average Joe cannot. For instance, this year she saved us over $ 2K for finding an «excessive social security payment». I am quite sure this is somethign I would have not known about if I filed my own taxes. This is the first time I am filing my returns with Bay Area Max Refund. Had a pleasant experience. Pranita is very knowledgeable and the process was quite smooth. The charge to file is little pricey. I would recommend Bay Area Max Refund to consider lowering the charges. Having said that I appreciate the clean work they have done.
