Baby’s First Ultrasound

Maybe we should’ve got another package because our 15 minute session felt rushed. Couldn’t get a good picture and was offered retakes for a lesser price but we wouldn’t spend anymore money for that experience again. Did enjoy the sweet receptionist that assisted in helping sign and receive the promotional gifts and always glad to have a picture of my baby.

HORRIBLE!!! Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Stay away from this place!!! Complete waste of time and money!!! I’d give zero stars if I could! The tech was rude and defensive because she couldn’t show us anything but a hand. They need to go out of business because showing a hand for the price we paid is absolutely ridiculous!!! We shouldn’t have to ask for a refund if the service we paid for wasnt provided. A refund should be a given, otherwise they are just scamming! Don’t give them any of your business because you’ll just be disappointed. Should of known this place was shady from the start because a big group of people were complaining to the receptionist right when we walked in to check in. The receptionist seemed to hate her job because she was not friendly and just kept pointing out everything that’s an extra charge when going over the different packages. HORRIBLE place!!!

More like a 2.5 star I don’t know what to rate this place anymore. At 17 weeks I went in and the technician handed my sister the gender reveal. She did a gender cake and everything and we announced that we are having a boy!!! Yay!!! We was super excited to even our family out. Then at 19 weeks I went in for my 2^nd trimester ultrasound and she told me that baby is healthy and a very active girl. A what??? Don’t get me wrong I’m happy and blessed that baby is healthy, but we was expecting a boy. I called up baby’s first ultrasound and they said they can do a recheck for me. At 20 weeks I went back in and technician still said nope baby is a boy and she stands strong that it is. So I was really confused. At 22 weeks my dr checked for me and she said that she also sees a girl. Like I said I don’t know how I feel with baby’s first ultrasound the technician is really nice and seemed to know what she is doing. Hopefully she is right but like I said as long as baby is healthy I am blessed. The front desk lady is a little honest blunt but not directly rude.

01/​12/​2016 Baby#2 4d ultrasound. It was our first time coming here & doing a 4d ultrasound. I’m 38 weeks & the receptionist & ultrsound technician was honest with me that it might be harder to get a clear image since I was so far along already. We were greeted & welcomed. They suggested I picked the CD package $ 79 & if we were able to geg clear images esp the face that we can upgrade to other packages & just pay the differences. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get clear images of the face, but we still appreciate the fun & informative experience. Our 4yr old baby girl had fun regardless. Thanks for the experience & friendliness to both the receptionist & the ultrasound tech.

Twice they told my baby gender wrong at 16 weeks. Am so disappointed. Traveled 15 miles to this place twice and was not worth it now.

Worst place ever!!! Please please do yourself a favor not coming to this place. Totally waste of time. I was here twice for the gender session only. First time they can’t see the gender at all so I have to come back again one more time. And I wait more than one hour every time when I’m here. Totally ridiculous!!! Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I wish I could give them ZERO star.

First of all this place was a huge let down. If you go in for just the gender test it will be $ 65 and you don’t get a picture and they don’t let you take your own pic or video. Second, it’s in 2D not 3D. Super grainy 2D. At first I was excited but then after 2min it was over. I felt like I just got jacked for $ 65. It was a super lame experience. The tech was not friendly didn’t even say hello. Boo for this place. 0 stars

I have been here in the past. Both the receptionist and the technician were friendly. Decent place. If you are picky about looks, don’t come here. Its a basic looking clinic but they have the tools to get the job done.

My husband and I were hesitant to come here due to all the bad reviews, but wanted to book a last minute appointment and since they advertised same day appointments on their website (and opened at 8am), we took a chance.
We called first thing in the morning and they booked us for 11:30. We got there a little early and one of the sonographers, Sally, was at the front desk. Apparently the receptionist that was supposed to be in, wasn’t — but Sally was friendly and explained the packages to us. We went with the most basic package that includes the gender and four photos because that’s truly all we cared about.
When she walked us into the room, I was surprised at how big it was. It was a big projector screen with chairs along the walls in case you want to take the entire family. Room wasn’t anything exciting, but it was clean and comfortable with the lights turned down and some light background music. Sally quickly and easily told us the gender and even put a little arrow pointing at the baby with the gender so it would be in some of the photos. She was friendly, warm and even joked around a little with us, asking us to guess what it was and if my husband had placed any bets on the gender (he did).
The photos are not the best quality, but they are good enough and we honestly don’t care about that too much — we just wanted to know the gender! Very fast and efficient.

Management solved our previous issue. For that we are very greatful. The receptionist on friday and the tech are great. The other front desk women is unreal. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding her. The tech sally was also great. Stay away from the older heavy tech. She has a mojor attitude. However, to be fair… Great experience 2^nd time around.

Well at first I was scared to go because of the reviews and rating. But I gave it a try anyways, I must say I do not regret it! The place wasn’t the best as far as the lobby but it got the job done. My fiancé and I went for gender yesterday (14 weeks pregnant) at first the doctor said the baby was being stubborn but after a few coughs and laughs she got the winning shot! YAY gender reveal party! I’m just happy I got what I went there for. Other then that the receptionist was not professional and I could see why people said she’s rude. Won’t come back for face pics when I’m 28 weeks, not good enough quality.

Paid the more expensive package. Literally got one picture of his face and you have to pay to do a re do. Can’t wait for my appointment at Adorable Baby in Danville and they said f they don’t get pictures you can do a free redo. And she said you shouldn’t eat sugar before you come because they give you candy and cookies when you get there, she so nice on the phone and I feel like she’s excited with me. When we got here, our appointment is at 3, they literally had the front door locked until 3:01 and let us in, and all the signs on the door are in caps NO FOOD OR DRINKS! Well I can’t wait to be fed sugar and treats and feel welcome in Danville.

First of all when we arrived the building was locked, I called and they said I was the first appointment of the day, they showed up RIGHT at my scheduled appointment time. Kinda unprofessional if you ask me. Although the tech was very nice, I’m pretty disappointed that we took the time to drive out there and pay as much as we did for them to tell us the WRONG SEX of our baby and give us crappy ultrasound pics! Their pics were so blurry you couldn’t tell what they were! Save your time and your money and go somewhere else!

After reading reviews I was nervous. But I had a great experience. The tech was very nice and knew what she was doing. I am 17wks pregnant, got a clear gender shot of my lil boy. And more than a few face shots. The ultra sound was on a huge wall projector and was very clear. Baby did turn his back to us towards the end of the apt and the tech had me cough and turn on my sides he finally came back around at the end. It was a great experience. The only bad was that they were about 10min behind and the receptionist had to put the pictures together at the end so we waited a bit after. All totally worth it to have 20min with my baby boy. Also the stuffed animals looked pretty cheap, glad i opted not to get one. They gave me tons of pics, and all of them on a cd like 80+. Very happy :)

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!
I am so disturbed by this place!!! I don’t even know where to begin! All i can say I walked out of there so disappointed. It ruined my whole experience…
A few things!
1-​The receptionist was unbelievably rude and unprofessional, she actually got annoyed with me because i asked her a question. Said i cant drink my water! First of all when i called they told me not to worry about drinking extra water. Then she tells me that i need a full bladder. I asked my husband to get me the water bottle out of the car. WHen she saw that she was like OH no!!! WE don’t allow water or food in this place!!! I am like are you kidding me. I am an adult and i do know how to drink with out spilling it everywhere! She asked me to hide the bottle before the technician came out! Are you kidding me??? I am pregnant…
2-​The place smelled bad. The teddy bears they had looked old. She had them just stacked up. The pictures don’t match what the place looks like!
3– The black and white pictures were all small and blurry… She gave me the worst ones for the coloured pictures. I didn’t even get to choose. I didn’t expect to see great pics as i was 18 weeks. But we went mainly for the gender. My OB GYN gave me better black and white pictures.
I am so worried now that i went to this place! God knows if the machine they used is ok. I will have someone look in to this… I dont feel good about it. My husband and i both thought that the images were very blurry on the screen!
I emailed them nicely and i told them what happened. The customer service girl was very apologetic! She told me someone will contact me. To send an email. So i did. I explained what happened. And they just offered me to come back in 2 weeks and they will do it again for free! Ok so i cant do that. I have had a few scans from my dr and i wont be here in 2 weeks time. so i asked kindly if i can come back @ 26 weeks or have my money back! WEll they said NO. So i decided to let other mums out there know PLEASE pay a little bit extra. And read the Unilocal reviews. Don’t trust the ones on their website. You wont regret it!
I am going to try and contact other mothers to see if we can do something about this place.
I gave them the opportunity to correct it. They didn’t even talk about the bad quality of pics I got the experience it was just come back in 2 weeks or nothing!
This is not how you run a business.

Do not let their cheaper prices fool you. Once you enter the office, there are a ton of hidden fees and strings attached. The first 3 prices are simply for gender and a profile picture so you’re bound to spend just as much at a more reputable office.
First off, very unprofessional, apathetic, outdated, time-​oriented (½ hr limit despite not being able to see face), greedy, and questionable staff. I felt very rushed, they could not see my baby as she was faced the opposite direction most of the time, so the sonographer just kept poking my stomach really hard and just yelling. The teddy bear package is a joke, it had rips and tears, it was already unraveling In their office but was the only mediocre one.
Although I am still happy to have seen my baby, after the first 10 minutes from their faulty and outdated equipment, this questionable establishment ruined my 4D experience and my wallet. Please avoid if seeing your baby for the first time is not a big deal to you.

I had a terrible experience with this place and will not recommend it to anyone I know.
I made the appointment over the phone and everything was looking good. Got a text message with a reminder the previous day and everything was still good. I was so anxious and couldn’t wait to finally find out the gender of my baby.
On the appointment day, I arrived there at 10:32 — the appointment was at 10:30 and I was very rudely welcomed to the office. The attendant made sure to bring up loudly that my appointment was at 10:30 and I arrived there at «ten thirty TWO».
After this first bad impression, I started filling out the one page paperwork but was still not sure on what package to get. My original idea was to get just the gender reveal but I wanted more information on a more expensive package. My surprise was that once again the lady was very rude explaining the packages and treating me like stupid every time I wanted to clarify the differences.
I ended up choosing to get the teddy bear package just to also have the heart beat for this baby (since I also got it somewhere else for my first baby). At this moment I found out the rip off. The bear included in the price is a tiny bear and if I wanted the «normal» size — same size as other ultrasound companies offer — I would have to pay additional. I didn’t think it was worth since I can just buy the bigger bear cheaper online.
Minutes later, time go to the ultrasound. The room don’t look comfortable! Is such a large room with uncomfortable chairs close to the walls. The projection screen has a terrible quality and the way the bed/​table was set don’t allow us to see the big screen. Only a small tv on the left size. Can I say that the tv was really tiny and blurry? I couldn’t see anything in it.
The session had 15 minutes and during 14 of them the girl was only trying to take pictures of the face of the baby. The most important was the gender, not the face since I was only 14 weeks and a half pregnant. Because of that, she was not able to see the gender. Still inside the room, the girl gave me a lot of wrong information: she said I could try to check up to 3 times again for the gender and I could do that as early as in 3 days after this first appointment. I just had to go talk to the receptionist.
Going back to the receptionist, she told me I could only reschedule once for free to find the gender and only during WEEKDAYS! no weekends allowed to check it for free. I didn’t see that online but I was so mad with everything else that I said it was ok.
When trying to choose next appointment for 5 days from then, the receptionist then told me rudely «NO!».
She would not schedule it before 2 weeks from the first appointment because they can’t see gender before 16 weeks of pregnancy.
WAIT! Can’t see before 16 weeks? Why they have online that they can see the gender anytime after 14 weeks? I think at this point I was so mad with all the absurds from this place that I was trembling. I sucked it up and scheduled the new appointment according to her rules.
Then, she asked us to finally pick up the bear for our package and I told her I couldn’t do that, because we never found out the gender and asked her if I could do that on the next appointment. She then said it was not possible. I was also not trusting this place anymore anyways, so I just grabbed a plain bear with no blue/​pink references.
Oh, I forgot to mention: the quality of the pictures given are very bad! I will be posting a picture of what they gave me and comparing to other ultrasound offices in the area!

Staff here were awesome and really took time during my appointment. Although my baby was in a position where the gender could not be seen, the technician tried every possible way to get the baby to reposition. We are now going back for a free recheck in 2 weeks!

It doesn’t get much worse, sorry.
Made an appointment which they sent a text message reminder for. Showed up 15 or so minutes early, and was told they were 20 minutes behind. I said a phone call would have been nice, but we waited. The AC wasn’t working and it was easily close to 80 degrees in the waiting room. We waited until 50 minutes after our appointment to be seen, after the receptionist had knocked on the for twice, and I asked to call a manager. They charged me full price before I went in, which would be fine if it had gone well, but irritating because of the wait, and what happened next.
I’ve had 5 ultrasounds, one at this location before, so I feel comfortable with realistic results on images. The machine wasn’t working. The tech mentioned tough babies that weren’t cooperating; we could tell immediately that the resolution was way off in the machine. Nothing was remotely clear, it was a slow moving, grainy, blurry mess. Even the tech admitted it after we asked her if she was happy with the images the machine was taking.
What was meant for a surprise for my husband was a complete waste of two hours. Not even one picture was usable. We left empty handed and that was that. They didn’t even argue that there was a useable photo. There wasnt.

I’m kinda hanging on a thread here with this review. I got great news and my entire family was able to see we are expecting a bouncing baby boy!
Now onto the service, this experience is supposed to be memorable and pleasant but because of the lack of professionalism from the front desk receptionist it was hardly pleasant.
We didn’t get greeted when we arrived, she didn’t even turn to acknowledge our presence (group of 10 people, I think it takes a special kind of effort to choose to ignore us lol!).
I approached the desk and stood there for a good 3 minutes while she was done with what seemed like cutting up photos (pregnant lady waiting for them, I assume). She still didn’t turn to look at me or any of us. Finally I gave up and sat down (figured, maybe she’s hard of hearing?! And blind! Remember we came in full squadron deep!)
Anywhoooo after she acknowledged us she continued to be rude and unprofessional while asking and answering questions about packages and services included.
Went in for the ultra sound PISSED! But after I saw my baby it all went away :) I didn’t care that she had been rude and obnoxious.
She tried to ask us how it went after but none us had time for her rudeness, we gave her a taste of our own medicine! We ignored her! Lol
