Active Nutrition

Well stocked place. The cashier had his two pitbulls chillen in a kennel there which I dont care about, but he was rude. I asked him a question about EVG and he wasn’t personable at all. That’s the only thing keeping the place from getting 5 stars. Other than that, its well stocked, clean, and prices are reasonable.

I’ve been buying from Active Nutrition for as long as I can remember. They have several great locations throughout the Bay Area.
I’ve always had the best service and advice from BIG JOHN, Todd and Phil throughout the years. The best prices and no BS selling me things I don’t need.
I wouldn’t shop anywhere else.

I highly recommend this place, i was greeted with a warm welcome by Phil and his wonderful little girl (dog), I was inquiring about a fat burner and quest bars (price you cannot beat anywhere else), Rather than give me some marked up mumbo jumbo about fat burner and the most expensive is the best, he gave me advice and even recommended I try the more natural one, and focus more towards nutrition (healthy eating) and exercise, I was always going to
for all my supplement needs but just customer service alone has won me over. Never change!

JORDAN! He’s awesome! I came in searching for one thing only, a new preworkout due to the fact that I wanted to obtain a different pump than I usually do with my C4. Jordan was really helpful and recommended me different brands to accommodate what I was in search of. I ended up choosing one of his recommendations and although I have yet to try it myself, I had the best first time experience at an active nutrition store. I ended up coming out with two essentials and he gave me a lot of samples too! Definitely recommend this location and for Jordan to take care of you.

I’m not from the area and was killing time (to avoid sitting in traffic) and decided to visit Active Nutrition just to check them out and chat with the employees.
Everything Taylor said in his Unilocal review I completely agree with. I walked in with no intention of buying anything, and of course walked out with some new supps and extremely happy with my visit. I too buy all my supps online, but after this visit, AN has my business!
Quest bars for $ 1.90/bar? You won’t find them cheaper anywhere else. Great samples, free shirts, and quality shakers was a definite plus as well.
What I really liked about AN though was they don’t just sell their house brand product (like so many other supplement stores). They have a multitude of different supps from a variety of companies. They also have belts, straps, and six pack bags for sale as well.
Their rewards program is great. For every $ 25 spent, you receive $ 3 towards in store credit.
If you were like me and swore by
, I HIGHLY recommend you check out AN as I’m sure they will impress you.
My only complaint is there’s not one in the Sacramento area!

I’m trying a new preworkout recommended by a friend. The owner Phil was extremely helpful.

This store is awesome! I haven’t used many workout supplements before, so going into stores such as GNC and the Vitamin Shop can be pretty intimidating. Not the case here! Phil was so helpful today and answered all my questions without being pushy. I ended up buying two of the products that he recommended– he was extremely knowledgeable and took my needs into account when suggesting which products/​brands to check out. He also gave me some samples to try and a free shaker bottle! I will definitely be coming back and recommending Active Nutrition to my friends– thanks Phil!!!

I am surprised there isnt many reviews about this amazing nutrition store. Met the owner of the store and he has amazing knowledge on nutrition. In fact, his service is so amazing that I decided to stop by twice to buy a protein blend. Check this store out and speak to Phil and you are going to be a happy customer!

Supps, service, and a smile!
I’m a huge Active Nutrition fan and was looking forward to finally having a more nearby location, with Brokaw Road being pretty far out of my normal way. Because not only does Active have the best prices, but also the best service. Employees are just so freakin friendly, going out of their way to help you find the best products. Unlike chain store where «friendliness» comes right out of the corporate handbook, every Active Nutrition employee has been genuinely friendly. Case in point, today I went in for my protein bars and was feeling chatty (then again, when am I not chatty about protein). I saw samples of Cellucor protein behind the counter and asked if I could purchase one. Instead, the employee told me to choose anything at all to sample! Now, that is genuine service.
No canned, or should I say «tubbed» personalities* here — just great prices, service, and products. Active has got the scoop, of protein!
*All protein puns completely intended
P. S. I came here again and the awesome guy working was equally as nice, yet again! Updated to 5 star because the offerings and service are a ⁵⁄₅!

Where to start?!
I have always bought my supplements online just because they have great deals and a huge selection… Active Nutrition has changed that!
1. They have the best selection (and price!) of quest bars ANYWHERE. You can mix and match which is great because of all the flavors.
2. The staff and owner are all great people – they are knowledgable, give great advice and aren’t pushy on any of the products. Every time it’s a question of what I am looking for not what they are trying to sell.
3. They allow their employees to bring their dogs to work. this is awesome!
4. It’s right next to my gym!
And here is the main reason I am writing this post today– I forgot my «stuff» (BCAAS) and water bottle that I drink when I work out and walked over to active nutrition. Asked if they had any pre-​bottled as I had already taken a pre-​workout and didn’t need any more energy (side note-​bought my pre-​workout from them as a recommendation – super bio freak – it’s intense!) He just gave me a sample BCAA to try and wished me a good workout!
Love the customer service and it’s why I keep telling all my patients to visit the store to stock up on anything and pretty much everything they need for the gym (mainly quest bars! Haha)
Stop looking online and go support a great local biz!
Ok time to get back to working out!

Read my review in regards to the San Jose store, The same outstanding service is here as expected with all the active nutrition locations… Phil is the Man and his dogs are awesome. Glad he opened up within vicinity of where i live.

Finally made it out to the Mountain View store after work. It exceeded my expectations — spacious, great selection, clean, and of course, great customer service from the staff.
I“m still upset Phil sold the first Spike Shooter Energy Drink to someone else. But I won’t hold that against him =).
