Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits

Good food and fast service. I gave it 2 stars because their prices are REALLY high (–2 stars) compared to other locations and their debit/​credit card machine was down (–1 star). Luckily I had cash on me.

Not sure if this is the location in the TA or not, but that is who this review is for. Prep area looked disgusting with batter everywhere, floors in front of counter were a sticky mess, and worst of all the individual who took my order, connor, exuded «I don’t care». From leaning on register with elbow and placing chin in hand between orders to the way he spoke, it was a feeling that no one wanted to be here. During long road trips the very little face to face interaction travelers get shouldn’t be this sort. I couldn’t wait to get out.
**Edit: I’m bumping it up a star becase despite the lackluster reception, the lady who made my food knocked it out of the park. The sandwhich was amazing and really hit the spot. My thanks to her whoever she is.

Popeye’s chicken is always great! Never dry and always hot, no matter what time you go. We get the mild, as the spicy is too spicy for us. Perfect flavor all through the piece, not just the crust. Crust is crispy and never soggy with grease.
This particular Popeye’s is located in a truck stop. We usually stop and get chicken to take home if we are traveling in the area. We have been fans of Popeye’s for 30 years now and prefer it to KFC.
As far as service, I have never been treated rudely. All employees have been friendly and kind. Yesterday’s experience was outstanding. I picked up chicken about 5:20 pm and the shift leader was extremely accommodating and kind. I watched her interact with her team as well as other customers and she never stopped smiling. Treated all with kindness and respect.
