Adara Salon & Spa

I got an excellent full body massage from Stacey today. We talked beforehand about where my body needed the most work and she spent lots of time on those areas. The spa is in a cute old house and the massage room was very peaceful and calming. Really loving how much better I feel now that some of the knots are worked out. Definitely recommend.

I recently received a gift certificate to Adara, which I had never been to but drove by a hundred times. The morning of my birthday I decided a massage would be the perfect way to treat myself and took a chance calling to see if they could squeeze me in. I was able to come within 2 hours of calling and I was thrilled. The salon/​spa itself is in an adorable historic home in the cute part of downtown Mount Vernon. The only thing missing is a sauna/​steam room, other than that, great atmosphere. Stacey, my massage therapist, was fantastic, knew exactly what my body needed! Do yourself a favor and add in the aromatherapy; totally worth it. My treatment made me relaxed and was the perfect start to my birthday! Highly recommend Stacey! Thanks again, Adara!

I love Adara Salon and Spa. I have been going to Crystal for foils and cuts for a few years now. She always listens to what I want and I always feel relaxed and look great when I leave. The other thing I like about her is I have a sensitive head and have been to other salons where I am cringing the whole time. This never happens at Adara and for that I am grateful. I had a pedicure for summer (something I need to do more often) and I felt great and my nails were fab. Everyone is so kind and the shop is clean and comfortable without pretense and I love there is a great selection of Aveda products while I wait or when I am done.

I didn’t have the best experience.
It started off nicely when Crystal, the Lash Specialist, offered to remove my lashes I got done at another location. She was able to see me asap and relieved me of my allergic reaction to a certain lash adhesive.
But then things started going downhill. I made an appointment the day before my birthday to get my new lashes done by her. I was excited because she knew how to handle eyes that were sensitive, plus she had sensitive adhesive. Then on my scheduled appointment, I was extremely disappointed because her glue was all dried up and they weren’t prepared with any back up. As she struggled liquefy the glue, I noticed she opened the glue and continuously poked it with a paper clip. NOT sanitary.
Crystal offered to take $ 100 from my $ 150 lash service if I were to come back. A few days later I received a text stating my next appointment. THEN, when I came back I apologized to the receptionist for being a few minutes late to my appointment and she replied: «WHAT APPOINTMENT.» I showed her the text that was sent to me from her computer system and was unable to explain the false appointment.
Simply put, I am very disappointed and even with a 66% lash discount, I don’t even want to come back. They have just been repeatedly wasting my time.

I gave my wife a gift for here, she loved the results, and so did I!
