In Chicago for business and needed some supplements, GNC was the closest store to where I was staying, figured my options were limited. Poor selection, sales person could have been more knowledgably and products were overpriced. I purchased some protein and some bars to get me by for the weekend. I should have asked for recommendation at the hotel for better supplement store.

I have been to this store since it opened. Their store opening sale was excellent! I received a bunch samples and freebies which have forced me to try new products. I have been to a lot of these health stores and I feel like this one has a family owned feel to it. I thought the staff has always been generous with their time and very knowledgable regarding taste and effects of the products that I inquire about.
I would give these guys a chance. I go there every 3 to 4 weeks and even if I am not buying stuff they know me and will toss out a few samples, taste new proteins and just ask me about general well-​being. All I know is if you have had the pleasure of dealing with Max he really knows his stuff and never felt like the sale was his only goal. Honeslty they treat me very well here and I intend on going back there for our family nutrition needs for a long time!

I’m usually pretty skeptical with GNC’s. From past experiences, GNCs are way overpriced for their products and the people who work there are juiceheads that don’t know anything about ingredients and products except whatever they rehearsed. I came here due to my cheap Asian radar seeing the 30% signs blanketing the roadside. This place opened up recently.
The staff could be a little bit more professional — poking jokes at themselves and throwing products at each other, but I suppose this is GNC and I really didn’t expect a white-​glove staff. They were living up to their douchiness. To me it was funny and entertaining, for others who are new to the fitness scene or are picking up some stuff for other people, this can be a total put-​off.
This particular day they were giving samples of the Cellucor C4 pre-​workout, and it sold me. Great tasting and delicious, and for 30% off, it was actually cheaper than what I usually can find on the internet. The sales person I was talking to and asking questions was knowledgable and was helpful. Overall, A-​OK experience and the level of douchiness was tolerable.
