Advanced Fence & Gate

We had a new wooden, shadowbox, four-​foot fence installed in our yard at our home last month and are so happy we went with Advanced! Todd was very helpful and informative upon providing the quote. The team who installed the fence are master craftsmen. They scattered the dirt lifted from digging the posts around bushes in our yard instead of charging us $ 100+ to haul it away. The team was quick and clean. The quote we received from Advanced wasn’t the lowest or the highest. The end result is great quality. We did sealcoat the fence ourselves with a clear stain to help maintain its beautiful red color.

We worked with Todd, he was not only professional and courteous he was also patient. We had a lot of ideas and he walked us through many different scenarios until we found what worked for us. We got a 6 foot cedar fence and it looks amazing, his team did not cut corners it looks professional and just like the pictures on their site.
One day to remove the old fence and put in new posts, the second day the fence and gate got put in, well over 100 feet of fence to cover both sides of our yard. We also plan on getting a steel fence in front at some point and we will for sure call them back to get it done. Great team.

We are happy with the fence w had installed last July. However we are having a problem with the driveway gate. We have made numerous phone calls and no one had called us back to fix this. One office girl told me it would cost $ 160,00 for a service call. I think not when the fence is not a year old yet. Our next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Not good when someone cannot followup on the complaint. Really not good business…

Advanced Fence and Gate exceeded all of my expectations. I had gotten a couple of quotes from other fence companies to put up a fence in front of my side yard and while the prices were roughly the same, the level of service was completely different. Todd was extremely easy to work with and discussed fencing options with us that the other companies didn’t. He even offered the option of a commercial grade fence which no other company I spoke with did. Going with the commercial grade aluminum fence turned out to be a great choice because it looks fantastic and even sturdier than the residential fence (which already looks pretty sturdy). It may not be for everyone due to the higher price, but it was worth it to me.
As for the actual install, there were some complications due to Lincolnwood’s inspector not liking the location where the fence was being installed. He wanted the post holes dug 3 feet farther back from the front of the house and the fence put up there. Since they had already dug holes, this means they had to do almost double the work, but they handled it gracefully and dug the new holes without complaint. And in fact, the new location looks even better than the originally planned location so I am extremely pleased.
The installers managed to do a remarkable job cleaning up after themselves despite the rain coming down and causing everything to be muddy. They even spread the excess dirt along the back fence in my alley in a way that made it look better than it previously did. Thank you Advanced Fence and Gate for a job well done!

We had our Privacy fence & gate installed (custom made on site) last week in the middle of the scorching heatwave. The hard workers were very friendly & professional, we made sure they stayed well hydrated-​did not disturb one thing in our neighbors garden which was right up to our Property line & old chain link fence.
We are extremely pleased with the professional, beautiful craftsmanship.

I got to Advanced Fence through Angie’s list and their reviews. I was not disappointed. They do excellent work with beautiful craftsmanship.
They responded quickly to give us an estimate for the work. Their estimate was significantly less than most of the others I received. We were building a little bit fancier fence than was standard so I asked for references and examples of their work. Everyone I spoke with loved this company. All the work I went and looked at was of extremely high quality. We contracted with them. They got us on the schedule within a few days as our fence was in extremely bad shape. They arrived early, They removed the old fence and set the posts day one. The completed the fence including the oversize entry door on day two. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. They left a very clean work area when they were finished.
I have already recommended Advanced to two neighbors who like our fence so much they are considering doing the same thing on their property.

Advanced Fence & Gate did a fence for one of my neighbors, so I called them for a quote. Todd from Advanced Fence came out to my house, talked to me about what kind of fence I wanted, measured, and wrote me a quote right on the spot.
Advanced Fence & Gate was one of three firms that gave me quotes. Advanced Fence was the lowest price. I don’t automatically give my business to the lowest price offeror, but since I had already seen their work, and fence building isn’t exactly rocket science, I accepted their offer and sent them a check to get them started.
The work was done within the week and my fence looks great. What’s not to like about that?

This is the second project Dave and Todd did for us. The overall craftsmanship was nothing short of professional and Dave, Todd and their crew were all very easy to work with. Both projects were completed in one day and I expect our fencing to last 30+ years because we used the steel c-​posts that Dave recommended.

We are so happy with our fence from Advanced. It was just installed this morning and we couldn’t be happier.
Leading up to the install, we were very obnoxious. I bombarded them with emails so it would be exactly the way we want it and every email was answered right away and was always very thorough.
This morning’s install also went perfect. The crew came a few minutes after they said they would be here. They were friendly and worked really fast. Our inspection after they were done showed that everything was done right and exactly as we wanted. I would definitely recommend this company; they are friendly, accommodating, and responsible. I also felt really good about supporting them because they are a family-​owned business and care about what you think and how the job is done.
