The technical expertise is not in question, but the business side of things is what left me very disappointed. I found this company through an online search for local business that could give me a quote on a hard drive data extraction/​backup. They asked me to bring my equipment into their shop for evaluation. No less than four interactions over three days, I asked for a quote and got put off because they still weren’t sure what all the work would entail. Meanwhile they were performing the work that I would have to pay for. When they offered to buy me a new hard drive to transfer the data to, I asked about cost again. They assured me they would not incur cost without first running that cost by me. That never happened. I did get the call that 95% of my data had been recovered and moved to the new drive (which I am VERY happy about) but that call also came with a pricey bill that I have no choice but to pay. I didn’t have the budget to spend over $ 400 at the current time and would not have opted to go this route had I been given a quote.
