History
Established in 2012.
We stand where historically the old Pie Shop stood (and yes, we have wonderful homemade pies). The Sawmill Run Restaurant has been the dream of Bob Zimmerman and Jim Campbell (with Fran and Kathy pushing all the way). The simple mission being the rebuilding of the Village Center where once stood the Pie Shop, the Mt Lemmon Café, the Mt Lemmon Inn and the Ponderosa Lodge. The restaurant had to be first with a dual purpose to provide food and beverage to our mountain visitors and to provide a gathering spot for the community, our own safe haven.
To help bring it all together Bob and Jim partnered with Gabe Greenberg, who has a history of opening and operating successful restaurants throughout the United States. Gabe has a strong desire to provide a special place on the mountain. Special food, special atmosphere and special friends. Bob, Fran, Jim, Kathy and Gabe all hope to see you soon and desire for you to enjoy this special place on the mountain.
