The Westin Mount Laurel

This hotel looks nice and the staff were very professional and friendly; however, my room was downright dirty — used soap and lots of mildew in the shower, no trash cans anywhere, rumpled sheets, filthy hair dryer. The carpets in the common areas looked like they had not been vacuumed in a month.
In addition, the front door AND the gym were both closed for «maintenance.» You’d think for an upscale hotel they could get these things right.

on a recent stay, the toilet seat was falling off, there was a dirty washcloth left on the shower curtain rod and the vacuuming was spotty. I won’t be returning

I went there for a valentine’s weekend overnight and booked a special package which was very affordable for what was included. The hotel was slightly underprepared for what was supposed to be in my room before my arrival, however they were quick to apologize and correct the mistake. During our dinner, the manager gave us a complementary bottle of wine which I imagine was due to the small hiccup. I value and appreciate a management team that offers great customer service gestures to offset mistakes because mistakes happen — how you deal with is is what says a lot about your team. The dinner and hot breakfast were delicious, the hot tub was nice, and the king size bed was absolutely heavenly. We did not want to leave that bed! I recommend to anyone who can get a nice deal or package or price for your stay because it is a good option. The over-​the-​phone booking team was also very helpful.

The bar and bartenders are amazing. Old pros and know how to mix cocktails. The real deal if you appreciate this kind of thing. Food is great too. Highly recommend. Great find with excellent bar and food!

You don’t expect this kind of service from a brand like Westin… First, the refrigerator in my room has some old food items sitting in there from some previous guests who might have stayed in. This obviously means housekeeping didn’t do a good job. Next I called in for water and they gave us one small bottle and said there’s no more drinking water in the hotel at all. the best part is that the coffee that they have placed in the rooms were way past the best before date.

I have stayed here a few times… In need of a renovation, air conditioning didn’t work this time, room was not clean and missing a few of the normal restock items, last time I stayed the hot water wasn’t working. Service is all around poor. Avoid if possible.

Im sorry but for 109.00 a night, I should NOT have had to endure a extremely loud wedding party until 10pm.
I was also sickened by the fact that they took away toothbrush and combs, and grabbed my credit card on my checkin even though paid in full, for any «incidentals»
They force you to pay for wifi, what hotel doesnt offer this for free?
I asked for these items they said they would bring them up and never got them.
I ordered in room service due to a snow storm outside they sent me a turkey sandwich and some soup for almosy $ 30.00!
The room was a good size, no complaint there, and it is very convenient to major roads, thats a huge plus, but for everuthing mentioned about the extremely loud DJ music and party until 10pm I think this is a rip off for 109.00 i couldve gone right accros the street to many other places a lot cheaper.

$ 9.95 a day for wifi. Not acceptable. Food overpriced and overcooked. Not worth the money. Stay at a Marriott.

stayed as a member of a wedding block of rooms, so I assumed I paid a much cheaper rate than I would have otherwise. I’ve stayed at actual luxury hotels like most people and the westin’s use of the word and my ignorance as to the actual room rates (there was no discount) created an overblown expectation. It is an OK hotel with hints that it is trying to be more. The customer service at the hotel is good, however the info provided readily on the 800 line clashes drastically in every instance with the accurate info provided at the hotel. I have five examples at the top of my head, The misinformation provided by Westin’s 800 number was EXTREMELY irritating. They stated the pool hours were 24/​7, though there is a plaque on the wall outside of the pool that states the correct pool hours, as the hotel employee stated 6am-​10pm.
As I mentioned the customer service was very good. The woman who greeted me at the front desk was very nice, check in and check out (express) was easy. Every employee was great and friendly, each and every one greeted me and was friendly. That was great and I hope they are appreciated! What wasn’t great was that the infinity bath was actually shallow, I’ve never seen a shallow bath. The carpet was pretty grungy, throughout the hotel there was a feeling that the place is not maintained well. The slot to insert your key card to enter the pool does not work, an employee mentioned it often does not work, the same employee noticed within a minute or two from far down the hall that I was having trouble and helped me into the pool area. Just another example of the exemplary customer service verses the sub-​par facility/​building

Looks like a cell block from the outside. Parking is in the back, and then you get to play «which door do we enter» to get to the lobby. Our first room had burned out lights, a clogged sink, and a defunct TV remote, so we called downstairs — while on hold, a GIANT COCKROACH crawled across the bed. They moved us… to a room with a flooded bathroom floor. Just god-​awful.

[][][]MORE EXPENSIVE & LESS AMENITIES[][][] Conveniently if needed there is a Dog-​Friendly floor.[][][] Rated as a «4 Star» and after staying here I say it’s more like a shabby «4 Star» (most are usually much nicer). Feels like an overpriced 3 star that nickel & dimes you. To list a few cheap shots: 2 bedroom rooms have tiny twin sized beds**, Internet is not free, free TV channels are sparse with pay for movies being near $ 20 each. I never really pay much attention to TV at hotels, but there was a real lack of regular free TV channels to watch with lots of blank black screens where stations should have been. To watch TV you have to start at the MENU screen and scroll through the pay order items; however what is weird here are the insistent looping ads. The hotel TV service was pushing PORN hard. On the menu the PORN selection is right next to the way over priced family movies, BUT the video ads are practically demanding that you check out their giant selection of PORN over everything else. Super classily– I don’t mind porn being in a hotel room any more than I mind a free bunk being included in the nightstand drawer (there wasn’t), but I have never been in a hotel that tries to ram PORN down your throat as hard as the XXX. The mini-​fridge that is so over stocked with cases of cola ($ 3 a can) that you can barely fit anything of your own inside. To save $ on a family trip I went to the hotel front desk lobby shop, and all the cans and water bottles were priced the same as the mini-​fridge ($ 3 a can). ** I can not remember ever staying somewhere with twin beds (small children sized beds). Typically anywhere Queen sized is the norm expected anywhere. I recently stayed at a sub-​par HI with the smaller Double Sized beds, and thought that was cheap and unacceptable (the room had the HI brand Queen bed frames with undersized beds looking small in them). Twin sized beds are ridiculously small for adults– my wife and I tried sleeping in one, a bed meant for small children, which was cosy, a little too cosy as my wife rolled over and accidentally slammed her elbow into my eye. [][][] Beds, room, and bath were clean, and comfortable besides beds being twins. Staff was helpful and professional. There was a Starbucks out my window across the street, which was good as the lobby had no complimentary coffee.

Nice hotel. Stayed here for a week on business trip. Staff is friendly, room is super clean and comfortable. The little restaurant does not have a lot of choice in menu but the food is delicious, price is reasonable and service is great. They serve gourmet bread with dinner which is surprisingly tasty. The breakfast is also very good and comes with complementary drinks of your choice. Which is not too much more expensive than the Starbucks cross street.
The hotel is quiet and most people are stayed for business trip. They don’t have shuttle bus, but the taxi service they referred to me is quite good. (A One taxi?). A 4 mile trip to work is about $ 15. And they are pretty fast, on time and courteous.
I would stay here next time if I have to come again.

This Westin is in dire need of a renovation. I’ve come to Mt. Laurel several times over the past few years and usually stay at the Hilton properties down the street (there is a DoubleTree a few doors down). After several unsatisfactory stays at other Hilton properties I have been checking out Starwood properties. Suffice it that I do not have many Starpoints and am only at the Preferred Level.
I stayed at this Westin for two consecutive weeks. The first week I stayed here I was put on a Preferred Guest Floor. This floor was average at best and not what I was expecting from a member’s only premium floor. This guest room was clean even though the wooden furniture (the desk and dresser) had scratch marks on them. The room view was ok and of the parking lot in back.
The second week I stayed here I was not put on a Preferred Guest Floor. This floor was really torn up. The light fixtures in the floor hallway were hanging off the wall, the wall paper was peeling badly, and the carpeting was filthy. The actual room was much worse. The wooden furniture again was chipped and scratched badly, there was a huge crack in the mirror, several of the light bulbs were blown out or the light just didn’t work, and the bathroom sink was clogged. The view from this room was terrible and of the main road out front.
I will not be returning to this location. The DoubleTree is a much nicer hotel and only a few feet from this Westin.

All have been absolutely wonderful experiences. Wait staff is super friendly and it is gorgeous inside.
Five stars for the venue, service, and food.

Westin is an above average chain and this Westin was no different. I booked a Suite on points through Starwood corporate — little did we know that this particular property does not have multiroom suites. This was a problem for us, since I was looking at a 7:30 sleep time if I had to share a room with my young daughter. Luckily, they moved me out of the «suite» and put me in 2 adjoining rooms — and gave us breakfast for our troubles.
I travel a lot and the customer service here was top notch — it’s attached to a catering hall, which affected parking a bit (hence I knocked off a star) but overall I’d say a solid 4.5 stars. Very clean lobby and rooms.
Plenty of parking. Close to a lot of restaurants in the area. I’d definitely recommend it.

As far as hotels go the Mount Laurel Westin is fine. As far as Westins go, it’s a bit sub-​par. The rooms are clean and updated. Likewise the lobby and common areas were nicely decorated and well maintained.
You can never go wrong staying in a Westin, but a few things bothered me…
1. A ten dollar charge for wi-​fi, only three pillows on the bed, and the TV was a bit small.
2. The parking lot got packed due to a function in the ballroom and we had to park way in the back. I didn’t mind walking to the hotel, but I was annoyed carrying my stuff through cold rain back to the car. A tip: It isn’t well marked, but you can walk through the ballroom area to get to the back parking lot, I didn’t check but I’d assume you can scan your room key to get in one of those back doors.
3. Our room had a separate tub and shower. Aesthetically it was beautiful. I noticed as soon as I tried to turn the shower on that it was pointed right at the door. I got sprayed every time I tried to turn the water on to heat it up. Once in the shower, the door didn’t seal properly, resulting in a pool of water on the bathroom floor. This is when I noticed I only had three towels, not the typical six. I don’t require six towels, but when I need to use one to dry the floor every shower, three isn’t enough. Some reviews mentioned poor water pressure, while I saw this to be true regarding the toilet and sink, I thought the water pressure in the shower was more than ample.

4.50 stars.
My boyfriend and I had concert tickets for a concert in the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City and since he accumulated enough points, we were able to get a free room. However, Atlantic City hotel rooms were quite booked out, so The Westin was the closest one.
Classy hotel and great customer service. Our room was pretty roomy, big bed and clean. We only stayed one night, so we didn’t really explore what other amenities the hotel had to offer.
It is about an hour drive from Atlantic City, quite far.

4.75 stars.
I’ve been here for both a hotel stay and for a conference.
The rooms are terrific, the beds are decadent, everything is clean, the staff is wonderful. It’s tough to complain about anything in the hotel at all. For the conference, the room was good and the food served was really well above-​average for a group of lawyers only there for mandatory continuing ed credits. Clean restroom facilities, lots of parking, easy to find.
I agree with the other reviewers that the water pressure was poor. The bathroom also had a weird layout where it was virtually impossible to have a towel handy when you get out of the shower. Minor flaws in an otherwise wonderful hotel.
On one visit I was leaving at around 4:30 on a Saturday — I ran into 3 brides all having their weddings there. I can see why!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for the night thanks to her Dad who had a bonus points program and booked us a room. (Yes you read that right, her father booked us a hotel room LOL. How cool is that.)

I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE HOTEL! The Front desk attendants were friendly and professional and took care of us quickly. The hotel itself as clean and well maintained.
Our room was quite nice. It had a king size bed and everything was laid out perfectly. Plenty of space, including a work desk and lots of cabinets.
The only big drawback to the room was the low-​flow shower heads. I haed taking a shower ebcause I felt like there was no water coming out of the shower heads. Very bad! Also the ventilation system was nois and if you didn’t have earplugs, you wouldn’t sleep.
Also, the pool was really not that good. The whirlpool wasn’t warm enough and the regular pool was too closd. No win situation!
Overall, the hotel was quite nice and is worth staying in. If they got better shower heads, its 5 stars
