The Funplex

I came here for a friend’s birthday in lieu of Dave and Busters. The concept is pretty similar; there’s a gaming area and bowling alley. However, Funplex also includes Laser Tag, some amusement park rides, bumper cars and a go kart track. There is an unlimited ride wrist band you can get but we opted for the card where you can add as many credits as you want.
I came around 4 pm on a Sunday and it was quite crowded. All the bowling lanes were occupied and there were many kids playing arcade games. The go kart track consistently had a long line.
The best was the shooting game ride and laser tag. All in all, it wasn’t too bad. I think there are more kids here than at D&B but at least they don’t rip you off for bowling.

I love this place I have a great time I’m 24 years old I still love the indoor and outdoor go carts I also love the 4d shooting dark ride and the simulator the laser tag is kinda lame I love the the bumper cars and the rollercoaster they have out side and the tiltawhirl
The only things I don’t like are the ride employees take a long time loading cars on both go kart track and all the other rides. And the unlimited ride band is over priced And it’s always packed that’s why I’m only giving it four stars

$ 34 per person for all day access. Plenty to do, like mini-​golf, arcade games & bowling. Plan on racing cars later and shooting more aliens!

My kids love it here. There are go carts for big and little kids. The arcades and bowling as well as indoor ball pit keep the kids busy. The outdoor pool water feature and water boats are great in the summer time.

checkered flag… go karts are the best

This place will be loved by your children, as long as they’re not too young. Any kids younger than six won’t have terribly much to do here. Any kids around six or over will have a blast however. There is minigolf, go carts, plenty of rides, indoor activities and games, laser tag, and a whole host of other things. It is maybe slightly expensive, but you will not find this collection of activities all in one location anywhere else in the area. So, Innoway, you’re paying for that.
It is a little bit of a hot mess for parents however. The place is not particularly clean, and it is supervised and monitored by a teenage staff. The management personnel on location don’t tend to be much older than their early 20s. Safety equipment and precautions are kept to the lowest legal requirement possible.
I have seen others complain about the number of out-​of-​control children here. It’s true. I agree that to some extent this is really a problem of the parents, and not Funplex. However, it does speak to the fact that they put no effort into making sure children are getting proper supervision by adults. If you have smaller children or children who just have a more gentle demeanor, they can get a little bit sorely used by these unattended children.

The Funplex is a good place overall for a kid’s party – there’s a wide range of activities that you can do in one place, so you don’t have to drive all over South Jersey if you want to do go-​karts and play in a water park on the same day.
Go-​karting and mini golf are decent here and the prices are about what you would expect per game. The bad thing about the go-​kart track is that it’s all powered by gas engine go-​karts, which end up spewing fumes and debris everywhere. Also, no safety equipment is used besides a seatbelt (as a result, I think the karts go slower). The laser tag/​ball pit thing is pretty cool (but built with childlike dimensions in mind) and the arcade is fairly typical – you have to win an exorbitant amount of tickets to get the cheap prizes. Mini golf is about the same difficulty as other courses, and there is a little bonus hole that lets you get a free game if you make a hole in one.
Definitely geared toward children – no activities specifically for adults (talking mostly about libations here). Food is typical of what you would see at Chuck E. Cheese or other children’s establishments.

I took my kids and my wife on a very nice Sunday afternoon at this wonderful place. I did notice at the time was going by it wasn’t run the proper and safest way as it wasp monitored by young teenagers. I was on the bumper boat and when we got off the boat the guy and the rest of the staff didn’t bother to help me and my family off the boat like your suppose to do, that’s one gripe. The other one was the water park the measured my daughter and said she was fine going down the slide then the next one said she was too short… they need to make up their mind!!! Why are there no bathrooms by the waterpark??? There was a Code Adam and the female lifeguard had no clue what was going on. Me and my wife and couple other family members could tell what was going on and asked for help but the girl nearby ignored it… wow! We did have fun times there though but the place need a lot of work.

Good place to take kids for the day. There’s enough for everyone to do between the rides, games, arcade, bowling, golf, batting cages… the activities are endless and there’s something to do for every age!

My six year old son loves the Fun Plex. The best time to go is on a Sunday morning between 10 am and noon. You get the best price for the bracelet that’s good for all indoor and outdoor attractions, and you can come and go all day. We usually will leave for lunch as the food prices and menu options are not exactly the best. Laser tag, bowling, the foam frenzy, go karts, bumper cars, arcade games, and other exciting attractions will keep kids busy for hours. While there are a lot of kids roaming around unsupervised, I find the majority to be polite and respectful at this place compared to other places we go. Some of the adults or older teenagers that ride on the go karts can be obnoxious, but eventually they will move on to another ride. Employees are in their late teens or early-​twenties. Most are friendly and helpful. Some keep themselves occupied by flirting with customers. The place is relatively clean as in there’s not garbage on the floor, but the interior is older and so are some of attractions. I use a lot of hand sanitizer especially after being in the foam frenzy.

The negative reviews of out of control kids are all true but I think unfair. Parents really need to watch them better but it should be expected. This is ultimately a kids playground. That said, this is a fun place with plenty to do for the under 10 crowd. The pool area is well maintained and plenty of lifeguards to keep it safe. It needs some more rides but not bad and the lines are never long. The new roller coaster though, horrible! It really slams you back and forth. The dips are very tame. So it’s more of a thrashing ride. Pass. The go carts are great but the lines are always long on this. Teens will want to hang out inside with the arcade, bowling, 3d ride, go carts, and laser tag.
The food actually isn’t bad. Nothing great but certainly good enough for the venue. Prices aren’t outrageous either.
$ 30 a person for unlimited everything is a decent deal. In the summer it’s easy to spend 4 – 6 hours here. More if you spend lots of time at the pool, bowl a few frames, etc. Summer season passes are only $ 90 and we may do that next year. Much cheaper than a swim club!
Overall, a worthwhile place.

Never again. Highly disappointed the arcade machines ate my tokens. Bowling alley is very small. We went there for the outdoor mini golf. At specific holes there were broken lights so how do they expect for me to see where I should hit ball to at night. Sadly, children are running around without adult supervision who jumped in the middle of one of the holes. Definitely, will not be returning. Many some families would enjoy here. We are still on a search for an awesome mini golf…

air hocky kings! Not too bad moderately to some what expensive priced amusement park. Drawback is when it gets crowded some of the parents let the kids run around and they can be pretty classless

Holy crap. kiddie city hell, parents that ignore their kids. if they had a little class then ok but they let their kids run wild. there is a water area. bathroom smelly and disgusting. if you want to play minature golf. and your an adult. go somewhere else! there was a little girl playing behind us., we felt bad asked her where her parents were she said my mom is playing somewhere with my brother and i can play by myself. she was 7. someone should call dhs on this place.

Fun plex only loses one star because of one apathetic teen employee who advised us that a ride was out of order when she was supposed to be managing two rides, according to the manager. The problem was quickly rectified and my kid and his two friends (9 and 7) had an awesome time. Although pricey ($ 100) for 3 bowl extreme bands and 100 tokens, the kids played for hours. We also purchased the $ 4 meal deal add on for them; it was a great value for a quick lunch (2 slices of pizza and a drink). ⁴⁄₅ for funplex and free parking! Finally a venue that’s doing kid entertainment right.

I enjoyed my day at The Funplex. We had a gift card (with a family of 5, that was a good thing). We purchased the top level bands so we had full access to everything. My 7 and 10 year old sons were big enough to try everything. I have a little guy (4 y.o. but he’s a tiny little guy and at 36 inches wasn’t big enough for a lot of the rides). This is something to keep in mind as you plan your day here. At $ 150 for our family, I didn’t mind staying with my smallest but take an inventory if your family contains a person who won’t be able to do all the activities.
With that being said, there are things for the small munchkins. The Foam Frenzy is a lot of fun. Thousands of balls, dropping, shooting and flying. Unless you are there first thing in the morning (during the summer, not sure how it is during the week when school is in session) know you small person. If they are easily overwhelmed, this may not be for you. I have a pint size piston that thinks he’s a «HUMONGOSAURUS» so this was awesome until it got really full. I had anxiety worrying about his tripping and possibly getting trampled when the bigger kids start their mad tag runs. (Just trying to prepare mom’s of younger kids) The Lazer tag vest is too heavy for a small child. The young lady was great in suggesting the I wear the vest and he get the lazer gun. (Not an activity for a four year old). Things that were perfect for the youngest in your group: the motion simulator, the double indoor gokarts, the little people bumper cars and bowling. The water park is full of water sprays and water slides. There are chairs for lounging and watching. They also had mini golf.
The food and drinks are very expensive (that’s too be expected at a venue of this type). My personal opinion, if you are going to spend the day: get the bands and pack a cooler. We live really close and left for a fast food lunch, went home and changed. It worked out great.
The bigger boys had no complaints! There’s a freefall ride and a «bucanneer» type ride. Do not expect Six Flags. But it is in the middle of Burlington County so you have that trade off. If you pick a ride to do, it’s not too expensive. You can make it exactly what you want. Yikes, how could I forget. There’s a big discount if you go on Sunday Morning! Next trip, I definitely would do that instead of Saturday. The wristbands are 18.95 as opposed to (I think) 27. It’s nice and quiet, no waiting and no lines!

I bought a Groupon for a bucket of balls for the driving range. Tried to go today to redeem it. When we parked, we saw a large sign saying «DRIVING RANGE OPEN EVERYDAY» We went inside to redeem our coupons. After waiting in line for 20 mins, we were informed that the driving range WAS NOT open, and that they would be using the area to park cars. The person telling us that was very rude, rolling his eyes and sighing when we asked about the driving range.
All I can say is, if you’re going to participate in Groupon, be prepared for people to redeem it. Also, would it have been that hard to put out a sign saying it was closed before making us wait for 20 minutes?
Very dissapointed.

We had my niece’s seventh birthday party here. AMAZING!!! The staff were GREAT!!! All the kids had a grand time!!! The ice cream cake was pretty good. The vittles were what they were.
But, dudes! They have a full-​sized go-​cart track! And a mini track for the munchkins! And virutal simulator machines!!! And a HUGE American Gladiators-​style ball area… with canons!!! And a bowling alley! And an outdoor pool/​water park! And summer camp!!! And a lazer tag arena! And a full arcade!
AWESOMENESS!!!
