Laurel Creek Salon & Day Spa

Went here to get gel nails applied in October 2009. The girl who did it was nice but did not know what she was doing. First she filed down the nails I had to stubs, then did a horrible job applying the gels. There were flakes from the filing embedded in the gel, they were misshaped and lumpy, and started lifting only a few days later. Management refunded what I paid to have them done but I had to pay another salon to remove them and put on new nails. Would not return.

Cute little spa. The people are pretty friendly. I received my first massage here in 2003, and I’ve been back quite a few times since. Cheryl was the best masseuse ever, but she’s not there anymore.
I’ve also gotten a few bikini and leg waxes here. What can I say about waxes — they are NEVER comfortable, but some are more painless than others. My first bikini wax here wasn’t too bad — the woman who did it was cool (of course her name escapes me right now, but she’s no longer there anyway). The second time I went there was a new lady. I got a bikini wax and a full leg wax — you want to talk about pain?!? Half way though the leg wax, I wanted to ask her to stop, but I was leaving for Anguilla in a few days, and I didn’t want to walk around with one furry leg, and one that was silky smooth! The third time I went, I just got a bikini wax, and it hurt worse than the last time. Again, if I hadn’t been leaving for Jamaica the next day, I would have gotten off of the table and walked out. The worst part about the wax though, was that she didn’t get everything. So pretty much, I endured all of that pain, and I still had to go back over her work. :(
