I don’t usually make posts or reviews but had to after checking out my dentist Dr. Vece and saw the post by Sharon O. I don’t understand… there is nothing unethical about this dentist or anyone in his office. Anyway, on with my opinion. DR. VECE is the best dentist I’ve ever had and I will never go anywhere else. My family and I have been going to Dr. Vece for 5 or 6 years. He’s kind, compassionate and most importantly, gentle and honest. The office staff is also wonderful. You’re always greeted with a smile and treated with respect. Don’t think twice about making an appointment… you’ll thank me.

A warning to parents, children, and adults alike — you will spend the rest of your life paying for the mistake of making Dr. Vece your dentist.
As a child my parents took my sister and I to Dr. Vece. They would drop us off and have us tell the staff to do whatever was needed. That came at a hefty price. Though we both took very good care of our teeth, brushed regularly (twice per day), didn’t consume much sugary candy and almost never drank sugary drinks, Dr. Vece would repeatedly diagnose us with cavities on *every* single visit, requiring us to make additional appointments for more care.
This went on for years and years. When I left Dr. Vece’s care as an adult, I had multiple fillings on every premolar and molar tooth in my mouth. You can imagine what that was like for a child to go through — especially since no parent was around to advocate for me because they implicitly trusted the dentist.
At this point, as an adult, I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars every year to gradually fix the mistakes that Dr. Vece made, or rather the truly unethical way that he practices, taking advantage of children and their trusting parents. Every dentist I have visited since Dr. Vece has commented on my teeth and my childhood x-​rays and said that my teeth are otherwise so healthy, and the x-​rays showed no reasons for the fillings. Dentists in California, where I now live, have said that the work that he did would never pass the Dental Board of California as being acceptable practice (e.g. what he did to me was malpractice).
Please do yourself a favor and do not put yourself under Dr. Vece’s care. You may not realize it for many years, but it will be one of the worst mistakes you make!
