Lice Connection

Lice Connection and Barbara Gips are life savers. My youngest daughter brought home lice and ended up spreading it to the whole house. Barbara was patient, professional and thorough… she came back three times to comb everyone out and gave us the tools and training we needed to eradicate the problem. Thank you, Barbara. You made a really icky experience bearable.

Barbara is the best! My daughter had been exposed to lice and, having had it in our house twice before in the past, I was panicked that we were about to have our 3^rd case. Barbara came to the house, checked our heads and gave us the all clear and techniques to continue checking ourselves. 6 days later, I was still convinced we might have it and had her come back to check us again. Again, we were clear.
Barbara has an amazingly calm, take-​charge attitude. She is also the most reasonably-​priced lice treater I am aware of in our area. I was given her name by a friend who had lice on every head in their household a while back and Barbara calmly helped her get rid of it.
If you have lice and are as freaked out as I was, call Barbara. She will set your mind at ease!

We were lucky enough to be blessed with Lice. Somehow my husband and two sons were clean but my little girl and I had it. We had a light case of it. We did not need the full treatment because she had come to my house the next day after finding out and by then I had already shampoo’d everyones hair with a product I had so no live lice were found. But she checked everyone’s hair in the family VERY thoroughly. She then picked out any eggs she saw in my hair and my daughters and gave us a full comb out. She came back a few days later and gave my daughter and I a full comb out again (I wanted her to do a mid way comb out even though technically I could have just done it) but she found absolutely no eggs or live lice/​knits here second visit because she was so thorough the first time. It put me at ease for her to come and recheck in a few days. We got rid of the lice right away. I followed her exact instructions, comb out every day for one week and then every other day the second week. We vacuumed, changed bedding, bagged what was needed. We had absolutely no problem getting rid of the lice per her instructions. As soon as she walked in the door she put me at ease and I was calmer than what I was. I also purchased the shampoo she used for future so I have on hand. Although I hope to never see her again:-) she will be the first person I call if we ever get lice again. Per her instructions and recommendation I still comb out my hair and my kids hair once a week as a preventative.

Barbara conducted an incredibly thorough examination of our daughter’s hair (all the while explaining all sorts of facts and tips and misconceptions about them), and finally concluded our daughter had no lice. Then, true to her word, she only charged us $ 25 for this Head Check — even though she had to travel to our home and must have spent close to an hour with us. When we tried to offer her a tip, she politely declined and simply requested that we spread the word. So that’s what we’re doing (although a bit belatedly). Thanks, Barbara!
