USRWA is the voice of the watershed. We fill the needs of the watershed through a variety of grassroots projects and partnerships including: Habitat restoration, river clean-ups, maintenance of the Sugar River water trail, volunteer water quality monitoring program, invasive species control, youth education programs, urban and agricultural runoff and collaborative work with farmers.
History
Established in 2000.
Established in 2000, USRWA is a grassroots, self-sustaining, 501©(3) non-profit conservation organization. USRWA is a diverse community of people who live, work and play in the watesrhed. Partners include businesses, schools, families, service and volunteer groups, government agencies, and public and private organizations of all types who work to improve water quality. From farmers to hikers, builders to birders, hunters to hikers, and paddlers to peddlers — we work hands on with everyone to get the job done.
Meet the Manager
Wade M.
Manager
Wade has served at Executive Director of USRWA since January 2014, and previously served on the Board of Directors. Wade earned his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy & Planning from UW-Green Bay in 2009 and has worked in a variety of environmentally related projects including watershed management, public land use, invasive species control, urban tree inventories and stream bank assessments along the Sugar River.
