Since 1997 we have been baking our All-​Natural Dog Treats here at Piglet’s Pantry, Inc. Piglet was our first of many retired racing greyhounds. She has inspired us to make the best dog treats ever. We use only healthy and wholesome ingredients with no added salt, sugar or preservatives. We also offer a large selection of dog leashes, collars and dog related items for humans. Stop by and have a sniff around, Dogs and their humans are always welcome!

History

Established in 1997.

Piglet was our first retired racing greyhound. She came into our lives in 1995 when her racing career was over… she was just 2 years old. She was a shy, sweet but very skinny. As we learned more about the lives of greyhounds from the tracks, we decided to give Piglet the best of the best. We started to cook her food and bake her all-​natural ‘home-​made’ biscuits. She loved them so much that we decided to sell the biscuits at the local farmers markets and crafts shows in Central Florida. After doing this for 2 years, we had the opportunity to open our own ‘dog bakery’. Piglet was our first of many retired greyhounds that we have been fortunate to share our lives with… each has helped by taste testing our dog treats. It is truly fulfulling to know that we are making our 4-​legged customers happy with our yummy dog treats. A percentage of our profits are donated each year to help unwanted dogs find loving homes.

My husband and I have worked hard to make Piglets Pantry — Dog Bakery a success. Edson does all of the baking and packaging while I try to keep the shop running smoothly and maintain the book work from home. Most days it works well, but working with your spouse can be a true test of love!
