KaDee Kay

KaDee Kay is a cute kitchen item store, which offers a large selection of cake molds, flavors and frosting items. They also have aprons, cooking books, salad tongs, and kitchen gadgets etc. Some items are expensive but others are somewhat reasonably priced. It is a great place to find something you normally can’t find anywhere else.

Had heard of this store from friends, all of who shop via their website. Made a trip to mt. Dora this past weekend to stop in and see what it’s all about. When arriving I saw a lady who seemed to be arguing with a young girl at the register. Apparently the lady was at the store the day before as well from out of town and spent around $ 200. She was arguing with the cashier about how they had charged her for breaking a plate and charged her $ 40. Now I can see things Breaking in the store all the time, as it is definitely is not Ada accessible and packed with tourists. The woman claimed she turned around and the plate broke, so she went and got the manager and apologized. She then cashed out, and was never told she was being charged for the plate and proceeded on her way. Working in different retail jobs throughout my lifetime I understand some stores have a break it or buy it policy but to not tell the poor old woman after shes spending a good amount of money in your store is ridiculous! They refused her money back, and embarrassed her. After that I walked out, wanting to give her a hug! Disgusting and shady establishment
