We specialize in residential projects of all scales, from small renovations and additions to heirloom residential projects and large vacation retreats. We bring a strong interest in modern regionalist design, using local materials and familiar forms + local materials juxtaposed against modern, open floor plans and minimalist detailing.

History

Established in 2013.

Founded by Eric Reinholdt, an award winning residential architect, 30×40 Design. Workshop believes in making the architectural design process, accessible to everyone. Having partnered on many award-​winning custom residential projects over the past 12 years, Eric opened 30X40 Design Workshop as a multi-​disciplinary design space working in a variety of mediums, no design project is too small.

Business Owner

Eric Reinholdt graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger William University in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1996. Since then he’s practiced architecture at a variety of scales throughout the Northeast. After completing his registration exams and receiving his license, he moved to Maine in 2001 with his wife. He was hired as Lead Designer and Project Architect at the award-​winning Elliott + Elliott Architecture in Blue Hill, Maine. With a strong focus on design, he partnered on numerous custom, award-​winning residential design projects. He moved on to found 30X40 Design. Workshop in 2013 with hope of providing services to a broader range of clients looking to do interesting one-​of-​a-​kind projects.

Eric is a Maine Licensed Architect and holds his NCARB national certification. Eric brings a strong interest in modern regionalist design, using local materials and familiar forms juxtaposed against modern, open floor plans and minimalist detailing.
