I am new to the area from San Francisco and needed desperately to get my long, wild, not-​quite-​curly-​not-​quite-​straight hair cut. It has a mind of its own and I have found that it takes someone really talented to be able to 1) understand how to work with thick, wavy hair; and 2) work the layers into each other so that I don’t end up with a «shelf» where the layers end. If you have hair like mine, I know you know what I mean!
Jeri Neumann has 30 years experience and is really a hidden gem at this little, very low key, family-​oriented place (lots of up-​dos and senior citizens). She should really be at one of those larger, hip salons in the city. I described what I wanted and she knew what to do with my hair immediately. She cut all the dead ends off so my hair is so soft and swingy now.
We discussed color since that is really her passion. Even though she loves doing it and is really good at it, she suggested I not do any color since the color of my hair is great. She totally could have pushed it on me but didn’t. I love that.
