Moss Landing is a sleepy town with limited options of places to stay, but I know we made the right choice with the Moss Landing Inn. The woman at the front desk was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed — she even made sure that we each got a fresh baked cookie, even though we were out when the cookies were finished. She even offered a tour, although we had to decline for time constraints. The room was cozy and charming, a perfect bed and breakfast stay.

The bar is great the owner is great. Drinks are not cheap but they are strong. The bands they book for the most part are awesome but they could use a little more variety. Their social media could be improved but they probably do not advertise who is playing and when because they want to keep their clientele small. Word to the wise female tho — the bartenders have complete discretion over who comes in and out. So if any of them are jealous or feel threatened by you you can be sent out at any time for doing nothing. That is even when they are off duty and drunk in the bar — which happens frequently for a few of them as all the regulars know. Just be aware that no matter how they treat you you have no recourse with the owner or the manager because even under the influence and aggressive off duty bartenders are allowed to make executive decisions. That being said the owner is probably not aware of everything that goes on as he leaves management to the manager, who is also not aware of all of her bartenders’ activities.

This place get an «A» for great dive bar atmosphere. Fun crowd!!! Unless, it’s happy hour though, they get and«F» for drink prices. $ 7.50 for a well vodka cran is outrageous. I’m new to the area, so that may be the«tourist» price.

Came here for Karaōke and had a great time. The DJ was fun — so was his brother. There was some talent in the room too(not us!). It was a great time and something I would do often if I lived in the area.

No Tom Collins mix, I’m not sure if any thing is quite level, and striper poll in the middle of the one room bar. The bartender, «the madam» as told to me by a fellow patron, told us all about the«hookers ball» which she reluctant had to move after Easter and off of Good Friday, because all off the patrons partaking in lent. While here the owner of the Whole Enchilada told me to order the crab enchillada with lobster topping and to be like the ocean and keep making waves. Live music the night we went, the band seemed comfortable playing while straddling the stripper pole, where the madam put on a little show half way through the night. Sheriff office showed up with a billet proof vest, and the locals were friendly! If you don’t like a great dive with plenty of character, skip it. If you do, this place is a gem!

If you want people watching, this place is the best. Local dive bar, friendly regulars & the best bartenders in the world. Great drinks, good food, just remember anything can happen at the Inn.

Best bar in Moss Landing. Lots of charm here! Pool table, striper pole, patio, and the beach 5 mins away. Plus the bathroom is clean, and the vibes are chill.

For dive bars, this is about a stereotypical as you can get and I love everything about it. You get all walks of life through here without any hostility. There is also live music nearly every night of the week. If you’re just passing through, or looking for something different than SC or Monterey, check out the Moss Landing Inn.

If you’re looking for a local dive bar, this would be the one! I don’t get here too often, but when I do, I always enjoy a good stiff drink at a reasonable price. My husband likes the fact that he can get beer on tap that is not offered at the Whole Enchilada. Lots of locals seem to frequent this bar. On the weekends, they have live bands, that are really, pretty good. A dance floor that fills up, should you have the desire; and, on the weekdays, the jukebox carries the good tunes. The bartenders happen to be pretty personable and quick to serve. This place is a little too crowded for my taste past 10 pm on the weekends, but a good eclectic mix of people. Nice open patio w benches and a cool ocean breeze. Never a dull time at this place…

During the week, this is a great dive bar. Stiff, cheap drinks, a pool table, a juke box, and a chill atmosphere. Just never, ever go here on the weekends — the amount of crazy they can pack into this place might threaten to turn you off of dive bars for life.

This is exactly my kind of bar, but every time I’ve been there, there’s some obnoxious dirtball that sort of ruins the experience. This last time, it was a large drunk woman who farted, and then wanted to fight with my wife because she thought that she was laughing at her.

Killer dive bar attached to the Whole Enchilada. You can buy Lottery Tickets here but the best part is that you can order food from next door and enjoy it at your own comfort at the MLI. Love the local small town vibe.

This is the epitome of a locals«dive bar». Discovered this treasure YEARS ago. All walks of life are welcome here: farmers, lawyers, bikers and everything in between. Drinks are good and stiff and decently priced. Friendly staff that usually remembers you even if you only come in a couple times of year. Great live music on certain nights and plenty of dancing. Back patio for smokers. Have left many a dollar bill tacked up in various places although I can never find ‘em when I return. Hmmmm… maybe too many top shelf margaritas.

Getting faded here is any locals Right of Passage(or just passing out, can’t remember hit my head to hard.) Locals of every shape, color, and every path of life roll into Moss Landing Inn. Out of towners stay a little and get Lost in the laughter here in «the Heart of the Monterey Bay».

Now this is what you call a great Dive Bar. There are dollar bills hanging and pasted throughout the place. I’m sure I have about 40 bucks up there somewhere where I wrote notes and and drew pictures on with a black marker from the years I’ve visited this place. You never know who you will be sitting next to in this place the crowd is so diverse. You have the 60 year old man with the Hawaiian shirt & loafers, Bikers, a fisherman with 1 arm and some hoochies from the nearby town Castroville or people from Santa Cruz or even Monterey trying to be on the Down Low. It’s always interesting and so are the bartenders they will treat you like a regular and even do a shot with you. They usually book really good bands Friday — Sunday and there are always people on the dance floor. I kid you not, I’ve known quite a few people that have fallen in love at this place. Hmph, must be the sea air and all that money hanging around.
