Walked in an hour and a half before closing for 3 manicures and front desk girl said there is only one manicurist and she can’t do 3 so we asked if she can just do two back to back and the lady once again denied us. Just doesn’t make sense that you would turn away 2 or 3 manicures if you are still open for over an hour!

My first time here, and I came away underwhelmed. The place was clean and they took me as a walk-​in for a foot massage, which is always convenient. Upon telling me there I could have a massage, payment was requested. Not the typical way things are done — usually the job is done, then you pay, but whatever. I paid by CC, so a tip option was included. I didn’t tip as I hadn’t had my service yet, and I was planning to tip in cash. I am now escorted into the foot massage room — quiet, dark, calming. My massage was for thirty minutes. At times, it felt good. At others, it seemed as if she was making it up as she went along. The massage was not so much bad as it was unskilled. About the same quality massage as you would get with an average pedicure. Upon completion of the massage, my masseuse says to me ‘you tip now?’ and follows me to the checkout counter. I tipped her, of course, but the exchange was certainty awkward. Overall, a very average forgettable experience. Can’t think of a single reason to go back.

I finally made my manicure and pedicure appointment yesterday and was excited to give this place a try. I figured, living in skokie for awhile that i would finally try this place out, since it is so close to home. It looked really nice from the outside and the inside does sort of have a spa feel. The girl that i spoke with was nice and it was a really slow day at this place because it was Monday evening. (I figured more chances for me to have a relaxing pampering for awhile).
Well, My Opinion? I think throughout my experience this place needs to hire their own Receptionist, and get New Nail Polishes. (so old and gunky and not too many polish choices)
I felt soooooo bad for the girl doing my nails, that everyone that worked at Technicolour was busy doing massages etc. One of the technicians who finished first with her clients massage came out of her room and started screaming out loud at the nail technicians name (working on me) asking questions and wondering what she was doing etc.
The girl was soo apologetic every time someone walked into the spa/​salon and running back and forth answering calls. I told her not too worry about it, i was pretty patient at the time. If i had the decency to go back to the place, I would. BUT!!! For sitting at a spa/​salon for 2 ½ hours, JUST for a mani and pedi. I don’t think so! Not only do I have sores on my little toes from her cutting my cuticles too short and a crappy manicure job. UGH!!! I think i rather find another new place where «professionals» pay more attention to their clients.
I guess over this and the rudeness from Hollywood Nails on Dempster, onto my next adventure to finding a new nail place in Skokie and Morton Grove.

I’m still a fan of this place & I still love my hair dresser. Updating my review bec I got a massage here recenlty. My masseus was perfect… she had heavy hands just the way I liked it. LOL… she even got on the table & really put the pressure on my back! WOW! With that being said… there were a few things I didn’t like tho — -she wore clunky shoes & I heard her each foot step. There was also some talking in the hallway that was not relaxing. She spoke very minimal English also… but nevertheless… she was able to deliver a great massage! I will just be quiet next time! LOL…
Also…the CD they play must be a short list bec it got old fast while I was trying to relax.

I WOULD go back to this place again for a massage — I just hope my massues won’t wear clunky shoes! :)

Nice salon, open long hours, which is a plus. One of the best manicures I’ve had. I’d definitely recommed this place!

Update: They were fantastic for the fundraiser and now more people know how wonderful a place it is!
