Safelite AutoGlass

I has a glass stone chip repaired. Technician was awesome but I was expecting more of the stone chip to visually disappear. Left with a spot and two lines moving away from the chip.

Took in our car to get the windshield repaired. I was worried from the location of the crack, they’d have to replace the whole thing. We showed up half an hour behind schedule cause getting kids out the door never works out timely, but the guy taking care of us was super nice about it regardless. They were able to fix the window, thank God. He also mentioned if the windshield ever needs replacing later on, they take the money spent on repair and put it towards the replacement cost. Really, really nice service there, and I’d say we were in there ³⁰⁄₃₅ minutes tops. Also, clean lobby with coffee and enough room for waiting.

I had my windshield replaced here yesterday. Customer service was great. Phil was professional and very friendly. He did a great job and was very quick. Cost of windshield, labor, and tax was just a little over $ 200. I highly recommend this place if you need your car’s window replaced.

Took car in for a window replacement. After about 2.5 hrs we got a call for pick up. That day it was a mixture between a snowstorm and sleet rain. When we arrived to pick up we voiced our concern about the weather and how it would effect the install work, which they ensured it would be fine.
3hrs later we noticed a leak on the top right of the window that was soaking up the door interior near the roof. We immediately returned to let them know of the leak and to demand they take a look at it.
Unfortunately they let us know that they were about to close but would be able to see us first thing the following Saturday. Granted I was pissed but hoped their warranty applies for the situation.
Fast forward a week, we have been pouring water on the troubled area and keep getting a leak. Took the car back and they ensures it would be fixed. Got a call in 10 min for us to return as they found the problem.
Turns out our drain pipe from the sunroof was clogged (nothing to do with their install), and they actually showed us first hand the issue. They even proceeded to blow out the clog in the drain pipe to fix the issue at no cost to us.
Very pleased with the customer service. They stand by their work and went above and beyond to prove and make sure that we were happy.
TL;DR — replaced window, found leak hour later. They found the issue was not associated with their install and proved it to us. Fixed the problem (absolutely could have said not our problem take it somewhere else) at no charge.

Worst customer service experience I have ever had ANYWHERE. Absolutely ridiculous double charged and it has been 3 times in 2 weeks that we have «straightened» it out and I keep getting called back saying they do not have a record of my payment and when I show them the receipt THEY gave me they say it doesn’t look familiar and it doesn’t look like it came from them… I would never choose to use them again because they can not even keep there own employees in line there is no records of the previous calls. No communication between there own employees and general all around confusion…

Needed front windshield replaced. Priced a couple of different companies, and Safelite had the best price. I chose to go to their store. The store was extremely clean, and the time frame I was quoted was right on target.
I own a Lexus, and there was no problem with Safelite replacing my windshield that has automatic sensors to detect rain. Lexus warned me against getting a windshield from a «Secondary Market» company. Lexus quoted me a cost of more than three times the cost of Safelite. Lexus was incorrect, my windshield and wipers are 100% fine.

Unfortunately my windshield had a pencil sized hole in it after a rock had hit it on 294. The cracks extended just beyond the siZe of a quarter :(I have insurance through Geico so I set up my appointment through their app (it was so convenient and easy).
Brought my car in, and was greeted promptly at the front. It was explained to me that there was a possibility that the crack could extend down the window during the repair (gulp) and depending on the size of the hole, I may still see some of the cracks although it was repaired. Thankfully It didn’t happen on the driver’s side so I said to go ahead and do it.
While the glass did not crack further, sure enough I could see where the hole was. I am glad that it was fixed and since they have a great warranty, I can always bring it back if something further should happen. The procedure took about 30 minutes.
The waiting area has refreshments, tables, chairs and is very clean. Free wi-​fi also.

Safelite had one of the best customer service lines I’ve ever called. I had a tiny crack in my windshield and called them. I had no idea who to call but the super catchy Safelite jingle stuck in my head all these years and decided to go with them. The guy on the phone was fantastic. I was able to have them come to my job site the following morning to fix the windshield so I didn’t have to miss work or shorten my lunch hour or be inconvenienced in any way. The guy on the phone walked me through everything that would happen. In Illinois with my State Farm insurance the work only cost $ 50. They also said they would be able to replace my windshield wipers for a very reasonable fee as well. Unfortunately they didn’t have my size and I was not able to have that work done, but it’s great to know it’s an option. All their work is guaranteed for the life of the car. Really nice people. fast, convenient, easy service. I’d for sure recommend them!

Great service! Was a bit disappointed with their online system since they identified my car with the wrong windshield but ended up happy overall once it was done correct. I would use them again if I have another windshield issue… hopefully I don’t!

The commercials are great but the quality of work SUCKS… and if you bring it back because of an ‘install’ problem they have every excuse why it’s not their fault … And then when you deal with the District Manager and it gets worse… Rather than saying, ‘bring it in and lets see what we can do to fix the problem’ he abruptly says, it’s not our fault because that’s what my manager told me … I am so disgusted with this company… I live less than a mile from their location and a neighbor warned me not to bring it there! I should have listened… Zero Stars for service and Negative Stars for customer service… If you live in the area there are BETTER places to go!

Safelite must have some knack for hiring really awesome people. Everyone at this branch is just great. I had my windshield done here and they did an awesome job. The manager and techs were great but one person who stands out in particular is Joan Murphy. She is really and truly great! I learned so much about a vehicle’s glass. I never knew how structurally important your car’s glass can be (it can affect how your airbag deploys!).

I had a really positive experience with Safelite.
We had a cracked windshield replaced almost two years ago. There must have been a tiny bit of water that creeped under the moulding and froze this winter, because part of the moulding came unglued and was sticking up. When I rang Safelite, I was told this was covered by their lifetime warranty, and the customer service rep on the phone was exceedingly polite and very apologetic about the issue.
They scheduled a mobile visit for the next morning, and this morning Hugo from Morton Grove came out. He rang in advance to tell me his ETA, and then again when he arrived. He was friendly, courteous, professional and I felt like everything was definitely in safe hands.
I think minor mistakes are possible when installing a new windshield, so would definitely recommend Safelite for their lifetime warranty and great service (gosh, that sounds a bit like a cheesy TV ad — but it’s my personal unsolicited opinion :))

I have a very pleasant service with Safelite in Morton Grove, IL. The technician, Dave, was skillful, friendly, responsive and on time. Safelite hooked me up with my auto insurance, progressive, and got me a free repair on the crack windshield.
Hassle free, easy to make an appt. I strongly recommend Safelite AutoGlass.

If it was possible, I would give them zero stars.
I recently had my front windshield replaced after a 12″ crack appearing during the cold. The first time I brought my car in, they cracked the windshield while putting the new one in. They couldn’t replace it immediately as I had to wait 7 days for the adhesive to set. For 7 days, I had a windshield cracked in half. They said it was «drive-​able» but I seriously doubt it and to be safe, I got rides from my roommates and coworkers. The following week I came in to get my windshield replaced again. This time they didn’t crack it however they FORGOT TO REATTACH THE HOSE TO MY WINDSHIELD FLUID PUMP. It is the middle of winter in Chicago where they over salt the roads. That’s a SAFETY HAZARD. I could not figure out what was wrong because I assumed since they screwed up the first time they would take the time to do it CORRECTLY the second time; however, I guessed WRONG. A couple of days later, I realized who was to blame for the latest car issues and they fixed it immediately, after some complaint from me.
In addition to the couple of hours while they were fixing my windshield (an hour or so each time), I had to drive 20+ min each way to get there. I got $ 50 off for the inconvenience but that seriously did not compensate the amount of MY TIME they wasted. When I asked for some additional compensation for them making me drive back for the third time, they said «but we fixed it for free as part of the guarantee.» Are you kidding me? You broke it. You better damn fix it for free.
Also, they claim they «clean» all your windows as part of the service. They use a dirty cloth that smears and makes it impossible to see out of your windows. I had to go home and clean them again myself. THEY WERE CLEAN BEFOREHAND.
I will not be returning to any Safelite. This was a ridiculously inconvenient service. You claim to be professionals and I saw none of that.

I really wish I could give them 6 stars.
From quote to completion, the entire process was painless. They walked me though everything, offered a great price, explained the total, scheduled and followed up every step of the way.
Every single representative (quote, appointment confirmation, manager and technician) were all delightful. All my questions were met with answers that were customer centric. Everyone smiled, and offered more than I was expecting at every turn. Install was less than 60min and included window cleaning (so you’re not temped to get your car washed) and vacuuming of the front compartment. Beverages were offered at no cost, and get this– they handed me the remote to the waiting room TV. That’s never happened!
Pricing was substantially less than Gerber, and I, literally, can’t be more satisfied with the service and quality I received. Extra props to Hugo, the manager, who really made a great impression, so much so, I’m referring our fleet manager to Safelite!
Let them take care of you and your car. You’ll be glad you did, I sure am.

Can it give this company/​location ZERO stars?!? I have never been treated so poorly anywhere in my life. Two technicians came out to fix my window. They stated they had the wrong glass and it needed to be ordered. Meanwhile LEAVING a back seat full of broken glass. Really dudes… how about vacuuming up that glass!?! They told me they will order the glass and it will take 3 – 5 business days and they’ll call me when it arrives. 3 – 5 days pass with no call! I call them. Oh they never placed the order and gave some b-​s on what transpired. Guess they never heard of two words… customer service and FOLLOW UP. This is the end of my dealings with this company. Please if you need your car window (s) repaired, go elsewhere!

Fantastic experience today. The facility was clean, and the staff were friendly and professional. My car was worked on immediately when I pulled up. Done in roughly 90 minutes, they also washed all my windows and even vacuumed my front seats/​mats/​console. Hugo was quick, efficient, and incredibly. As a first time Safelite customer, I would gladly return.

Front windshield got hit by a rock resulting in a sizeable crack that caused the windshield to have to be replaced.
Through Safelite, my insurance required a $ 250 comprehensive deductible which basically saved me $ 70 from the cost of windshield replacement and did not increase my monthly premiums.
It was very easy to file a claim through Safelite as opposed to going through my auto insurer. Making an appointment for the repair was simple, and I was able to select my preferred time the Saturday of the same week I called.
The facility in Morton Grove is large, new, and clean. The service staff are courteous and professional.
I was told the estimated time to replace the windshield would be 90 minutes to 2 hours. It probably took about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Luckily, there is a McDonald’s, Starbucks, and Panera, all within walking distance.
While I hope I never have to replace my windshield or other windows again, if I had to, I would certainly return to this location for any auto glass repair needs.

Had to have my driver’s side window fixed at the last minute. My insurance hooked me up with this Safelite location and I was very happy with the service. Their place is clean, comfortable and modern which made it easier for the ninety minute wait. Their work space is also visually open so you can take a look at your car and see how things are going.
There is free soda and water, a television, and they were in walking distance of many places if you need something to eat. The glass was fixed to my satisfaction and they informed me on everything I would need to know about taking of it. There is also a lifetime warranty, although I haven’t looked into what that covers. Can’t really comment on the price since insurance covered it. Altogether, I would happily use them again.
