This place is small and the service is hit or miss, though I’ve only been one and it was a miss. No one was at the register or available for the 10 minutes I was wandering around the store looking for something. There were some workers in the meat section in back, but they are mostly just there to stare at you and not be helpful if you’re not getting meat. Their selection of items, though, is unlike what you’ll find at a chain store. That is their charm, and I’m sure they have the Chaat Masala mix I was looking for. Maybe I’ll get it next time.

I went to buy something for $ 3 and had to spend a limit of $ 10 to swipe my card cz I didn’t have cash. Very inconvenient place and policy.

This place is easy to miss as it’s in a tiny plaza. I like going here when I’m in the neighborhood and I need to pick up specific ingredients that would normally cost two to three times as much at your local supermarket. Cinnamon sticks, Garam Masala, bay leaves, garlic paste… the list goes on. There’s also a meat deli in the back that sells lamb and goat. In the frozen section they have frozen paratha! Sometimes they have freshly cooked samosas near the front register.
