I went in with a rental car, I’m orignally from Pittsburgh, PA and had driven my stepson out to California state, and was driving back home. The gentleman was backed up, and he was shorthanded, but I just wanted to see if he could just do a quick check on the fluids and put in a quart of oil if he could. He said that he didn’t want to do a crummy job, so he could do it the day after, which I could respect, but when I went to the next shop, it took less than five minutes. So, maybe he was shorthanded, and he was a stickler for his work, but I eventually got what I needed. So, I hope this helps.

Their gas prices are the lowest in the area, in addition they offer free air!!!
The have a full repair facility with competent and helpful mechanics, and very reasonable prices. A true gem!!!

P and E Service is a BP gasoline service station located at the NEC of Waukegan and Dempster. The station recently underwent some renovation with new underground gasoline storage tanks, concrete and paint on the building. This is a service station and not a quickie mart.
I recently stopped in for gas and was surprised to find their price significantly lower than area competition. I paid for the gas at the pump and received a receipt there too. They provide a free air hose for filling tires on the west side of the building at the north end.
The only glitch I can report is my pump had a window washer squeegee, but no washer solvent. I walked over to the next pump and there was barely enough washer solvent to clean my windshield. There were no other issues and the station lot was clean and tidy.

I have a really oldddddddd car! I on occassion have stopped off at this gas/​service station to check the fluids in my car. They are the best! They are attentive and quickly assist me in checking the oil levels, anti-​freeze, etc., On Friday; my car died on the corner close to their business. I was able to move the car into the very large parking lot (Dempster/​Waukegan –there is a Dominicks, Dollar Tree, Fitness and other businesses).
Since it was close to 6:30pm, no one was around to assist me. As such, I left my car in the lot until the following morning. I contacted the station first thing in the AM. These guys were amazing! I was ready to hear that I needed a new transmission, and instead they told me that I need a new hose and maybe a master cylinder– Turns out all I required was a hose– they were incredibly honest, professional, and quickly diagnosed the problem and had my car ready for pick-​up within 2 hours! Costing me under $ 200! I would refer them to all my friends, family, they are the BEST!
They have the green bp sign– Ask for Ermino!
