This Is It! BBQ & Seafood

I went there cuz I had a craving for BBQ so I ordered the rib tips baked beans and a large banana pudding. … the rib tips were dry tough in a sauce wasn’t that good the banana pudding what yes is bad this is one place one establishment I will never go back to

Most restaurants disappoint me because the food isn’t hot enough.
I came two hours before closing.
BBQ Chicken:
White meat was terribly dry. Dark meat was not as juicy as it could be. Had nice aroma and had a noticeable smokey flavor.
Did like their Macaroni and Cheese, pretty good compared to most restaurants.
Lima Beans seasoned well, enjoyed it but it was a bit too rich tasting.
Collard Greens were a bit mushy to me. Like it had no texture.
Green Beans were super mushy. But tasted okay.
Fried Tilapia was okay. At least that it’s made to order.
Didn’t bring us dessert, we just left. Didn’t seem worth getting.
There is no point of having a waitress bring me my drinks (once) when you have a customer accessible drinking fountain. I mean we got everything ourselves by going up and asking for it.

I ordered BBQ pork sandwich meal, with Mac and cheese (great! Authentic southern Mac and cheese) and rice (bland, but, OK), serving was large, and, overall, had good flavor, but, pork was very poorly trimmed, but into several bones and some disgusting gristle. Not sure why this restaurant is so revered …

The last time I went to THIS IS IT, I swore I would never go again, I usually order the rib tip dinner, PLEASE, if you decide to take a chance ask them to give them to you with the sauce on the side, if you don’t you’ll discover that they maybe very old… I tried to give the Mt. Zion location a chance, (BAD CHOICE) HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE !!!
I gave them a star for HOSPITALITY ONLY

The food was actually delicious! The greens were seasoned to perfection the bbq wings fell off the bone and the Mac and cheese was good! I would definitely return!

Outstanding service, hospitality and food. The staff was very helpful in helping select a meal. I will definitely return to this spot!

The food was delicious. Cabbage greens were seasoned well, I would prefer my mac and cheese more cheesier though. I wanted to try yams but they were not available. I turned down the dessert because the sweet potato pies looked burnt.

Food was ok, tasted just like all the other this is it locations.
I dined in but I didn’t like the fact that they put your sides in Styrofoam, give you plastic utensils, yet your entrée is on a real plate. Thought this was tacky. Either do full service or dont…

Just ate real great… the service was tremendous and the food was spectacular… judge for yourself

The food and service here is pretty good every time I come I enjoy my food, although it is wayyyy overpriced. My only gripe is the desserts are always dry and look quite unappetizing

My sister ordered food online and it would be a 30 minute wait, that is fine because it would take me 30 minutes to drive there. I got there about 40 minutes later and waited in the online order line. I didn’t even get acknowledged. I stood there and waited and the lady at the register waited till she’s helped everyone in line which took about 30 minutes. She asked me what I ordered and I told her I wasn’t sure because my sister ordered. She rolled her eyes and then looked at the online order ticket. She starts to put the order in boxes and gives it to me. I go home only to find that half the order is missing. I end up going back and get no apology no nothing. I give this a one star because the lack of customer service.

This food is awesome!!! The collards were cooked perfectly, candied yams were sweet and piping hot. The grits were unique with a small amount of corn kernels cooked in. I’ve never had grits cooked this way before but it was the first thing finished on my plate. The servings were large and the staff was very friendly. You have to check this out.

The workers are nice very nice! very pleasant. I was so eager to eat here because I ate at this restaurant before In Riverdale it was very good excellent there! This place the greens where undercooked the macaroni was ok Texas toast cold and it just wasn’t anything like I expected it to be. I brought my cousin from Alabama and I myself is from California I’m disappointed in the quality of the food.

Best barbecue in Atlanta. The people who work there are awesome and they love to serve. I appreciated the person who served me. They said goodbye when I left and even remembered my name. I would recommend the freshest greens and Mac and cheese I have ever had. I also had the bbq chicken. Scrumptious!

Who in the hell would rate this 5 stars and call this «best barbecue in Atlanta» this is an open invitation to Chris S, the next time you are in town I will take you have some good BBQ and after you have it I dare you to tell me that this is still in your top 10. I’ve been to this location several times and the sides are store bought and the ribs, chicken and chop steak aren’t anything better than what I can make at home. I know there are multiple locations, blah, blah, blah but this place has pretty poor food.

Don’t ever go to this location, I ordered pork rib dinner, which I asked Kristee to exchange because the rib had more fat on it then meat. Her attitude was smelled like a skunk. Tasted the rib and it tasted uncooked. So I asked for something else. I got grilled chicken which looked and tasted totally uncooked. I have ate at another one of the locations and it was good but this location was horrible, cornbread was hard, my string beans was made with potatoes but had black eye peas mixed in and I’m allergic to black eye peas. I was hoping to make it out alive. The manager didn’t ask what was wrong or how to make it better, she just laid the refund money on the table and said I’m not sure who paid but here’s your refund and just walked off, without asking any questions. Not a good location to eat, and Kristee is not the person to greet customers she has a poor attitude and very non personable. I would not return there ever. 1 star rating is too high for this place.
