Morro Bay Optometry has been caring for patients since 1975. Our patients’ visual needs and wellness are our highest priority. Our commitment is to enhance quality of life by providing comprehensive and personalized eye-​care of the highest level. We provide state of the art medical technology, as well as a full-​service optical dispensary.

Business Owner

Dr. Smart grew up in Los Osos, California. She attended the University of California San Diego where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She went on to complete her doctorate of Optometry at the University of California Berkeley. She completed internships at Portland and Palo Alto VA hospitals, focusing on eye disease and geriatric eye care.

Dr. Smart focuses her practice on primary eye-​care and medical eye-​care. She is trained and licensed to treat glaucoma. She speaks French and clinical Spanish and she believes in great patient care and building relationships with her patients.

Dr. Smart is an active member of the California Optometric Association and past president of the Tri-​County Optometric Society.
