The Alpert Studio offers award winning Singing Lessons for kids to adults as well as beginner to expert Violin Lessons using Suzuki and traditional methods.

Receive personalized instruction in our beautiful and peaceful home studio. We serve students from Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, Los Osos, Morro Bay, Cayucos, Cambria and beyond.

We are professional, performing musicians who will provide you with the tools to sing or play the violin with confidence for a lifetime!

History

Established in 1995.

First established in Southern California and now on the Central Coast, we have served California families with expert music instruction for over 20 consecutive years.

Co-​Founder Melanie Alpert is a sought after opera singer and musical theater performer. Bill Alpert is a busy symphony and recording musician, currently performing with the SLO Symphony and Symphony of the Vines. They both share a passion for teaching and have enjoyed nurturning the musical gifts of hundreds of students over the last two decades.

Alpert Studio students are now performing across the country, have been accepted at top university music programs and been recognized at regional/​national awards such as the Great American Songbook competition and the LA Music Center Spotlight awards.

Meet the Business Owner

Melanie A.

Business Owner

A graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, Melanie Alpert has won acclaim and awards for her singing and teaching throughout Southern California.

Melanie now dedicates most of her time to teaching. She founded and conducted the popular Kid’s Chorale vocal performance classes through the City of Rancho Cucamonga. She conceived and implemented the choral music program for schools in both the Alta Loma and Upland School Districts where she brought music to thousands of students over a 15 year span. In recent years she donned a new hat as Music Director of numerous musical theater productions.

Melanie is a proud member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Southern California Vocal Association, Professional Opera Singers Association and the San Bernardino County Music Educators AssociationShe is a multiple recipient of the PTA Honorary Service Award.
