Specialties
Dim sum /dmsm/refers to a style of Cantonese food prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Originated in southern China, the unique culinary art dim sum is usually known in Cantonese as going to «drink tea» (yum cha, 飲茶), as tea is typically served with dim sum. At Dim Sum House we serve many traditional dim sum dishes including various types of steamed and fried delicacies such as shrimp dumplings, Guotie (pot stickers), Shaomai, BBQ pork buns, crispy seaweed rolls, shrimp meat balls, spare ribs, taro dumplings, tofu skin rolls, turnip cake etc. Dessert dim sum includes a variety of congee porridge, Matuan (seamen rice balls), and mango pudding. Weekend specials are rice noodle rolls (cheong fun) served with shrimp, BBQ pork, beef, or vegetable, and customer favorites such as roast BBQ pork tart, roast pineapple buns, and Hong Kong-style egg tart.
