Cosmo Spa and Nails

First time there, will not go back. The nail tech assumed since I had a white tip French Manicure that there was no clear coat polish on my nails even though it was glossy and shiny. She roughed up the nail gently as if she was afraid to do nails and/​or new to doing nails. She was about to apply the primer prior to filling in the acrylic and I had to ask her to remove the nail polish. I asked her in the beginning to keep the tips of the nails thin. Then I had to ask her to go back over them three times to file down the build up she created while filling them. Not to mention the build up in the center is uneven and waved. She still did not pull the skin away from the sides of the nail when filing them. I have a thick build up on the sides and am sure by weeks end the nail will be lifting. Poor quality!

And to Heather S. Who said she finds this hard to believe I do not care of your opinion! I do not think it’s being mean to give an honest review. I have multiple people who were there with me who can gladly tell you how she acted! And even one of her employees was disgusted by her behavior and attitude! So before you comment on someone’s review maybe you should think before you speak!
Probably the worst nail salon I’ve ever been to. And will not return.
1) I was told no more than a 10 minute wait. My 10 minute wait turned into a 30 minute wait.
2) Lucy did my nails and they were horrible. Supposed to be round tipped. And were all different shapes. Some squared some rounded.
3) I’m all about customer service. But arguing with your husband in front of a customer is not professional.
4) Her attitude changed dramatically and wouldn’t listen to what I was saying or showing her. And at one point I began to get frustrated and she was arguing with me! Yes arguing! Saying they were rounded when they clearly were not! She also rushed. $ 40 dollars down the drain.
I had to go to a whole new Nail salon and spend another $ 50 just to have them redone. And the guy who redid mine asked where I went and said they were not professional looking and felt sorry for me.

My friend and I ventured in for pedicures before a Unilocal event we were attended last night. I had not had a pedicure in so long and was looking forward to trying somewhere new in Raleigh. After reading a bunch of Unilocal reviews we called and made appointments for Cosmo. I was greeted as soon as I walking in the door and my chair was ready after I had picked out my color. My nail artist was great. He did a great pedicure and my nails look perfect. It took just long enough that I had time to relax and enjoy myself but plenty of time to dry my nails and get to my event on time. The salon was clean and definitely reasonably priced. I would definitely (and probably will) go back again in the future!

Lucy does a wonderful manicure and Alex does an amazingly relaxing pedicure. If you like to be pampered this is your place! Great value for the price. Very clean upscale salon.

I love Lucy! Her artistry with nails is impeccable. She’s gentle, pays very close attention to detail, and has flawless technique. She’s so consistently great with my nails that when she told me she could tint my eyelashes, I implicitly trusted her not to blind me. Not only did I come through the experience with my slight intact, but my eyelashes are lovely. The salon is clean, organized, peaceful, and inviting, and her staff is warm and professional. In a town full of convenient nail spots, Cosmos has earned my loyalty.

Two stars is generous. The owner obviously had her niece or daughter working for the day and decided to use me to practice on. She did not know how to handle the tools and in the time my friend got her entire pedicure she was still working on ONE TOE! They must have saw the look on my face because halfway through someone tapped her on the shoulder and replaced her. Unfortunately at that point I just wanted to get out of there.

So… My nail tech Is out of town and with a wedding to attend I was (am still) in need of a GOOD pedicure and gel fill in. Please note that I have these services done every 2 – 3 weeks regardless of the season.
Unilocal ratings lead me to this place and I am very disappointed. Because this is a holiday weekend, I went in to the salon a day before just to schedule my appointment. I was impressed with the cleanliness and cute décor. I set my appointment for the following day at 9:30 am with Lucy, the name that popped up the most in the Unilocal reviews.
I arrived promptly at 9:26 am (4 minutes before their advertised opening time) and Lucy was already busy with other customers. Never mind my appointment. The male technician did my pedicure which he completed in under 20 minutes… This isn’t necessarily a good thing. I paid $ 3 extra for a callus treatment and I promise you, he hardly used any of the treatment. This means that my feet are as rough as they were when I walked in, which totally negates why I pay money to «get my feet done.» I could go on, but I won’t.
It is now 10:16 am and I am still waiting to have my nails done by Lucy, the woman that I had a 9:30 appointment scheduled with. 5 more minutes and I am walking out.

I love Cosmo! It’s always clean and quiet and the staff is as professional as you’ll find! I’ve had my nails done by everyone who works there and they are all talented. No one to avoid, like other places. They always do a great job and check in through your service to make sure you’re satisfied. I only go to Cosmo for my nail services. They are very accommodating to your schedule and SO FRIENDLY!!! It’s has a small business feel that I’ve never come across at a nail salon/​spa before. I trusted them for my nails for my bridal portraits and again for my wedding day and both looks were perfect. They even got me a card and gift when I came in for my wedding nails. I just love this place. Class act.

I have been going to Cosmo for 2+ years. I had been at 2 other local salons and never completely satisfied. Lucy, Alex and Lily are the BEST!!! Friendly, fun, EXCELLENT at their jobs and a pleasure to be around. I switched because I hated the thickness of the shellac nails at other salons. Lucy does whatever I want and I get compliments on my nails everywhere I go– no matter the color! I tell everyone I know to go there and I wouldn’t send them anywhere else… Cosmo is the best! I am not sure what happened to anyone who had a bad experience– I don’t think it possible to have a bad experience there!!!

I saw the great reviews and I was eager to visit this salon that is located just up the street from me. What I thought was $ 25 was actually $ 39. The guy charged me for gel + a manicure, but did not specify they were two separate prices, or even gave me the option for gel polish only… which is all I really wanted. This I could have excused if it wasn’t for the unsanitary equipment used on my cuticles. Not 24 hours after my mani did my cuticles become red, inflamed, peely, and painful. I had to put neosporin on them and they’re still healing almost one week later. I’ve spent much less for way better treatments elsewhere.

Stopped by a on whim when I had some time to waste. Great pedicure in relaxing environment. 4 stars instead of 5 because once I was in the sunlight, I can see that the nail polish didn’t do a great job of covering on all nails.

First visit and definitely not my last. Was lucky to have gotten there while it wasn’t busy. Explained to the nail tech (never got her name!!) what the problem was and she fixed my nails. Will definitely come back for other services that they offer. It was a little hard to spot due to it being behind a hill but overall was a great experience.

I’m a transplant from MD and was in search of a nail salon that stacked up to the service I’m used to back home. After searching high and low, I FINALLY found Lucy! I must say, in addition to the beautiful décor of the salon, the service, attention to detail and friendly staff make this place my new nail salon «home» in Cary.

My wife and three daughters called and received an appointment the next morning where all four of them could be seen at the same time for a mother, daughter event. They choose Cosmos based on other Unilocal reviews and comments. They were extremely pleased with the servics. Very happy about how friendly the staff was but ultimately impressed with the quality of the completed nails.

I’ve been going here at least for 3+ years. And I love it. The owner is really great at recognizing her customers and providing fantastic service. Also, the same nail techs are here since I started coming. That’s a good sign that things are well run. The nail services are top notch, prices are in line with others now, & it’s always a relaxing experience.

Today was my first time and I loved it! It is a very cute salon and spa … extremely clean and relaxing!
My husband’s job takes us all over the country. We ‘lived’ in 4 states in a 2013. One of the hardest things about traveling is finding good salons! This one will be the only one I go to while we’re in North Carolina!
I had a Deluxe pedicure that was simply divine. Then Lucy suggested I switch from acrylic to gel nails. I am very pleased that I took her suggestion! I love them! I also had my brows & chin waxed today & the gal did a wonderful job!
If you’re looking for a new salon & spa then look no further! If you’re new to the area or just passing through … go to Cosmo! … they’re one of the best I’ve ever been to!

I really wavered between four and five stars, and would have given a 4.5 if possible. however I decided on 4 because it seems to be a little more expensive than some of the competition.
I was given great service, and the staff wasn’t pushy about giving me things I didn’t ask for i.e. brow waxing, face waxing etc. I received a basic pedicure, which took about 35 minutes. They did not rush me, and did a thorough job.
Compared to another place over by Target in Morrisville, this was fantastic. I would choose this one every time. They accept walk-​ins and appointment. Also, I noted that they offer massage services and reflexology services, which can be added on to mani-​pedis or done alone.
All in all, a solid place to go. Try it.

Quiet, clean and relaxing. I came in on a Tuesday around 5pm and I was the only customer — score! I was greeted and seated immediately. Lily was excellent — very detail oriented and took her time. She even did a great job with my gel polish and I got a very deep purplish color. I’m tough to please when it comes to manis/​pedis but I’m super pleased!

This is a wonderful place to get your nails done. The owners are very warm and inviting unlike some of the other nail spas around town. This is a nice quiet place where you are not forced to talk to the staff when they are attending to you. The ambiance is quite nice too as it is extremely soothing and serene.
