TD Bank N.A.

TD Bank has the worst customer service when it comes to their managers and assistant managers in the local branches, especially Morristown, NJ and Morris, NJ. I have never met individuals with such little professionalism and respect. Their was a mistake made by one of their branch employees on my checking account and they are telling me it is going to take two weeks to fix! Who has time to have thousands of dollars missing from their account for 2 weeks! On top of it being their fault, they do not answer phone calls in a timely fashion and I had to call the branch twice and then corporate in order for the assistant manager to send a one line e-​mail to unlock my account!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I will be switching banks as soon as possible!

For years I came to love the great customer service of Commerce Bank. But it seems with the takeover of Commerce by TD, Customer Service has gone out the window. The service at the Flemington branch is fine, but if you ever have a problem and have to call the toll free number– forget it. Also, TD bank had made several screw ups in my accounts, sometimes not crediting deposits, or putting money in the wrong place.
My latest problem is that I opened an account for my daughter at the branch and a week later the account still does not appear online. I called customer service and was put on hold listening to their annoying muzak for nearly half an hour. Finally I gave up, disgusted, and hung up. I now will need to go into the branch to resolve something that should have been doable on the phone.
The bottom line is their service sucks!

I used to be one of those people who would tell everyone how much I loved Commerce Bank… It was innovative, super-​convenient and most of all, you got a real person when you called the 800 number… NOT A MENU, which was unbelievable.
But this bank has since been taken over by just another mediocre big bank (TD Bank) and the service level has steadily fallen as well as the attention to customer-​service and convenience. I am still a customer, but it seems like the entire culture of the once customer-​focused organization is being erased and this is becoming just another «meh» bank. I am thinking of heading to Provident or Valley National next.
