I really appreciated the cleanliness and neatness of the state park. There are many nice trails that are great for young ones or ones who are no longer young. Nice size campground sites. Probably one of the most appreciated things about the campground was the nice large handicap accessible bathrooms. You have your own shower, your own sink, and your own throne. We were so impressed we booked another weekend for the end of September!

We are locals on do enjoy going there to hike because of its convenience. However, if we wanted much better views and waterfalls etc. we go to the mountains maybe a 45 minute drive from Panther Creek.

My dog loves me so much more, now that we have found Panther Creek. A boat load of trails for foot, dog, bike or pony traffic. Small map is one dollar in the visitor center. I paid $ 15 to join the friends of panther creek, because I am all about them maintaining these wonderful trails! I can not believe so much is available for free. Even though we live close, I think a dog friendly camping trip may be in store this summer. For now, even in the winter months, it is simply lovely.

Very nice park with convienent trails. Some wide very wide while others serve as single track for mountain bikes. Lots of hills so expect that. There is a kids playground and a seasonable pool as well as several shelter/picnic spots. Our favorite is to trail run a easily accessible 5k loop. There are frequent events like 5k trail races and even an xterra off road triathlon. One of the highlights of living in Morristown is easy access to this park.

This is one of our most favorite parks. There are tons of trails. All kinds of wildlife. And very few people. Our most favorite trail is trout Lilly which starts at the boat ramp.

Growing up less than a half of a mile away, I might have a little bias. But I’ll try to keep that in mind when I write this review. This park is the reason that I became a runner. Morristown is a pretty small town and growing up, riding my bike to PCP is about all I could do in the summer. I could run the trails there, go to the public swimming pool, or try to bum a ride on one of my friend’s boats. It has over 15 miles of tough single-track running/hiking trails. It has some horse only trails and some bike only trails. It has a dock to put your boat into Cherokee lake. Next to the pool, it has two sand volleyball courts, countless soccer fields, and a playground for smaller kids. This is a pretty active place on the weekends as there aren’t many alternatives in west Morristown. It’s a little far off to come to from the Interstate, but for locals, it’s a great place to exercise, play, have fun.
