Ummmm, really? I cannot believe this place is still in business based on the breakfast we had and all the MUCH better choices in Morristown. The food was ‘meh’ at best. Toast was warm bread… even though my husband requested DOUBLETOASTED. Bacon was overdone on one side and practically raw on the other. Grits tasted like the water never boiled… very rough and no possible way could ‘creamy’ be used to describe them. Service was spotty. Someone is going to have to explain to me what the allure is of this place, because I saw nothing, tasted nothing, experienced nothing that would EVER entice me back. Hillbilly Cabin on McCrary is 100 times better.

I would not recommend DC. The food all taste the same, and it gets the name«Dirty Daves» for a reason. A lot of their foods are based on comfort foods, but they are very meager and tasteless versions. The employees are friendly and respectful. But a BIGNEGATIVEFORDC

This must be were the locals go to eat. Pros: Inexpensive, and good food It’s a great value, you get a lot for your money! Good menu variety. Breakfast basics, like eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, etc… They also make omelets, french toast, waffles, pancakes, as well as a la carte items. Restaurant was clean. Our server was attentive, repeated coffee refills. Lots of vintage Davy Crockett photos line the walls. Cons:(and this is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4) My sons waffles w/strawberries didn’t come out with the rest of our meals. We had to wait an additional 10+ minutes for it to finally come out, and the«strawberries» were just some sort of strawberry syrupy thing in a styrofoam bowl. My son thought it would be fresh strawberries, so he was disappointed about that, and would touch the strawberry syrup(I didn’t blame him either).

I called ahead and got a to go order for two omlets and two biscuits with gravy. Food was okay. The biscuits weren’t really biscuits; they were more like mayonnaise roles.(Though I like those). I had to wait a couple minutes before anyone helped me.(Still far shorter than the wait I would have had at Hardee’s.)

Inexpensive. Friendly servers that seem to genuinely like each other. Regulars were there being treated like family. Food is good. Real gravy — not from a can or package.

This place has mediocre food, at best. Forget about fresh anything. Lots of fried food and salt. It’s too bad because its one of the only non-chain eateries in the area. Service was excellent.
