The Acupuncture Center of New Jersey has been serving the health needs of Morris Countyand North-​Central New Jersey residents since 1987. We are a team of highly-​trained, dedicated and compassionate holistic health practitioners providing Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine to patients of all ages. Our mission is to partner with our patients to create the optimal strategies for healing and wellness using the best natural therapies and lifelong practices that fit our patient’s needs. We specialize in helping people heal from problems related to all kinds of pain (back pain, headaches, sciatica, injuries, etc.), fatigue, weak immune systems, digestive problems, infertility and menstrual disorders, allergies, emotional syndromes such as depression and anxiety, weight loss smoking cessation and many other health problems. History

Established in 1986.

Upon returning to the U.S. after living and studying in China, Peter Kadar founded the Acupuncture Center of New Jersey (ACNJ) as a solo practice in a small office in Morristown. It was one of the first acupuncture offices in New Jersey. ACNJ has grown considerably since that time, moving to our present location in 1994 and expanding to a staff of five excellent acupuncturists, and a wellness coach. Previously we joined with another location at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Dover prior to the closing of the department formally know as the Center of Complementary Medicine. Our Morristown location is a lovely, welcoming office in a charming 100-​year-​old Victorian house on a very attractive street of old homes and large trees one block from the main street in Morristown.

Dr. Peter Kadar has been our director since the opening of the Acupuncture Center of New Jersey in 1986. Peter is one of the «pioneers» in the Acupuncture profession in the U.S., beginning his practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1980. He was drawn to this field via his early fascination with meditation, martial arts and healing. He was trained at the New England School of Acupuncture and at the Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Peter learned to read, write, and speak Chinese in order to further his studies in China. He holds the degree «Doctor of Oriental Medicine» from SAMRA University and holds a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists.

Peter has been on the faculty at the Pacific Institute of Oriental Medicine in New York and the Eastern School of Acupuncture in Montclair. He served as President of the Massachusetts Acupuncture Society.
