A & R Beauty Supply Company

I cannot say enough good things about A & R, I have been a customer for 11 years now, I am not in the Beauty salon business and what I order is very small and insignificant, yet they take incredible care of me. I always wait till the last minute to order and many times have to have special shipping arrangements. They have never complained or made me feel bad, quite the opposite, they bend over backward to take care of me. You would think I was spending 100’s of dollars. Today after the horrible blizzard the east coast got yesterday, the owner called me to tell me even though they were closed on monday because of the threatening weather conditions, he personally drove my package to have it shipped, folks, that is service and it is not about a $$ amount but ALL about caring for your clients! My hat’s off to you guys and I salute you.

store looks like it’s run down, but it’s not, it’s just not beautiful looking, which is ironic since it sells beauty supplies. i went in here with my wife, and this store mainly seems to do hair beauty stuff, with a limited bit of makeup and whatever other stuff men do not understand.
she bought a few items she wouldn’t normally find in a walgreens/​target or whatever and we didn’t have to go online to amazon for, so this store has that going for it.
i would give it a more in-​depth review, if i actually understood the products, but i don’t, and wasn’t just the «here go pay for this stuff» guy, my wife said it’s a good enough store.

A most wonderful family business, where the owners have built excellent rapport with customers. They know their stock and its strengths and customize suggestions to customers’ concerns.

It is nice as well as convienient to have a beauty supply shop right on South Street. Unfortunately, they have a limited assortment of itmes. The focus there is mostly on hair color and perms.
