Nettle Creek Country Club is a good course, but is not kept up as well as it use to be. The price for 18 holes w/cart is under $ 50(they have online discounts and the Golf Now app have deals) which is a little high for what is offered. This courses real difficulty is the wind. It is still a young course, so most of the trees are small which makes it really open. My biggest problem with this course is the maintenance. Most tee boxes are pretty tore up, fairways are either really dry or so wet that your ball will just stick in the divot you created and the greens are like concrete with unrepaired divots. Now, I might sound harsh but this course use to be one of the top 25 in the Chicagoland area. It has a small pro shop and little restaurant/bar area. They do have a nice size driving range. Overall it’s not a bad course, just a little under maintenance.

Nettle Creek has matured nicely. A few challenging holes, well-maintained fairways and greens. Fair pricing. What’s not to like?

This course is really a premier course for the price. Greens are pretty tough with multiple tiers. A good amount of water throughout the course and hole 2 is a bear. The course is quiet enough where you can slow down and just enjoy the game. I can’t imagine going anywhere else if you live in the area. Great for upper level junior golfers too. My son is a 10 year old IJGA golfer and he goes free with me after 5pm. He loves the course and practice facility.

I visited this country club once while I visited my aunt and uncle who lived in Morris, IL. It is a beautiful golf course and a lot of the members are people who live around the area and share their backyard with the golf course. My uncle frequents here a lot and he loves it!
