I have been going here for years and I completely trust them. I am a woman who is concerned about being taken advantage of and I feel that I am not. Would highly recommend them.

I have only used this establishment once and even in that short time I too experienced the friendly, unique, and honest service that everyone has mentioned on all their prior reviews. This evening I had an unexpected problem with my car and walked into this shop on a whim, as I would not be able to drive my distant commute home without addressing the urgent problem. Not only did they stay open passed expected hours, but they charged me a very reasonable amount and made sure the car was safe to drive my hour commute home. Although the location is not ideal for where I live, I will certainly be driving out of my way from now on to get the quality, knowledgable, and personable service that Morris Plains Automotive provides.

This is a great place to bring your car for service! They take you as soon as they can and give you service when you have a car emergency. My family has been going to this place for 20+ years. I know for a fact that they are honest here as well. The mechanics and management are very considerate and know how to provide excellent customer service. I wouldn’t trust my car with anyone else. They have a secure key drop if you want to drop off your car overnight and a convenient store to buy a food and drink while you are waiting for your car to be serviced. If you are not thirsty or hungry, then you can wait in the waiting room in while watching TV. This is reliable service and the prices are good and well worth it.

It’s hard to find a mechanic that is consistently honest, including letting you know that work that other mechanics said your vehicle needed is actually bogus. Tony and his team at Morris Plains Automotive is just that sort of place. They provide great customer service, well-​priced, and are generally pretty punctual with when they say your vehicle will be ready. I’d recommend this place to anyone that lives in the area.
One side note, they are closed on the weekends. That probably tells you something about the amount of business they do during the week, so make an appointment.

I was able to bring my car in without making an appointment. The work on the car would take about half a day and I was prepared to wait. They were kind enough to drive me the short distance home and call me when my vehicle was repaired. They even offered to pick me up when the work was completed.
My alternator was repaired/​changed efficiently and my car was clean.
Common courtesy is hard enough to find these days but for someone to go out of their way is truly amazing.

I just love this place and everyone that works there. I do not feel intimidated by anyone. The front desk person is so nice. They plugged a tire for me over a year ago & never charged me. I decided to go there for a tune up and check my car out. As I was waiting for my car to be checked out I was given updates. When the mechanic came out he told me what was wrong & what needs to be repaired, he took the time to explain and answer my questions. Instead of charging me to repair something there, he told me the problem was probably covers under warranty! So he saved me lots of $$$$.
It is so refreshing to have an honest and trustworthy auto mechanic in the area. I would highly recommend them to all my friends.

Amazing service and people. My family has been coming here for over 30 years and the service has always been consistently stellar. Gas prices are good, love the convenience store, and the friendliness of the staff makes it a pleasure to come get your car fixed!

Great place. Friendly service. Needed a tire patched and was prepared to wait an hour. They got me right in, fixed it within 10 minutes and equaled the pressure in all my other tires for $ 20. Planning on taking my car there for all service in the future.

I love this American gas station. Their gas is priced in fair market brackets and they don’t change the prices based on traffic flow. The staff is very friendly with the ability to understand you and you to understand them. All attendants wash your windows and ask how your day is going. I am proud that it is staffed with local people, from adults to teens. There is plenty of space in their lot and no one ever hustles you at the pump or the store. It is of no comparison to the shysters across and down Rt. 10 from them. I only come here and now that the road has been expanded, it’s easier for me to access it since although I’m not on the same side of the highway, I only come here to support our local jobs and services. Their automotive shop I have not used personally but I know plenty of people who have and everyone is pleased.
