Really love this spa! The atmosphere, massage options and experience as a whole never fails to relax and rejuvenate! They always deliver a 5 star experience.

Pampered to Perfection. This is how a salon should be. How can I possibly go anywhere else after having been gloriously treated and beautified! When you enter you will release a smile as you listen to the soft music and your eyes partake all of the beauty surrounding you.
A high end coffee bar. Cappucino please! Wonderful little pastries and sandwiches. A small lovely boutique to browse with clothing handbags and jewelry. Of course I purchased a few items.
The staff is impeccably groomed and dressed. The stations are all sparkling clean. Smiles all around. I could come here everyday and be a totally happy woman!
Their own line of products Ecru is divine. Nails wigs makeup virtually anything your heart desires!
My color stylist Shannon was perfectly perfect. She provided me wirh a detailed consultation Beautiful personality and she did a gorgeous hair painting on my wild hair. She even touched it up to Perfection a few days later 5 stars for Shannon! And Primvera cut and styled my unruly mane. Phenomenal cut. And she knew how to blow dry my frizz without making it frizzier. The result was beautiful ly smooth.
I don’t live in New Jersey anymore but I plan on flying here to have my hair done… yes they are that good!:

Let me preface this by saying this isn’t my first time at a spa. I’ve been to many top rated spas all over the world. The spa at Depasquale is good if you can handle staff that can’t get the basics right.
As a present my husband gifted me the Depasquale Experience package. I called to make an appointment back in 2015. I called back a couple weeks later to reschedule and I was told there was no appointment made in the first place. Yes I did so what happened to it? Bummer. It also takes 15 – 20 mins for someone to attend to you on the phone as they are busy. I was upset and discouraged so I waited till 2016 to try again. I made the appointment via phone and asked to get alerts or reminders so I can ensure the first mistake doesn’t happen again. I never received a confirmation. I called back (again) and then finally my email was set up and started receiving texts. After all this hubbub, the Depasquale experience/​massage was fine; nothing spectacular. When it came time to paying, I happily handed over the gift certificate with tips paid. Unfortunately, there was more confusion. The lady at the counter said I received a 50 min massage but my husband paid for 80. I asked why that was the case. I thought it was a pre set package. She said with attitude that it’s my job to inform them of the minutes. I was never informed over the phone when booking that there were two options. So basically they tried to return the unused money via gift card which forces me to come back. I emptied the card by paying for products on the spot so I don’t have to return. The place is a huge monster of a spa that has no finesse or customer service (though the massage therapist was fine as she clearly likes her job and is competent). The phone and reception desk staff on the spa side are useless and full of attitude.
It should not take these many calls to set up an appointment and staff should be aware of the services/​packages and all the nuances and options so they can guide and advise the client properly.
Plenty of spas in NJ and NY that are way better and classier.

Had an amazing 80 minute massage at DePasquale the Spa. The waiting lounge, locker, and shower area were super clean and quite relaxing. They offered coffee, cappuccino, or tea service while waiting. Great cappuccino. This place is like a palace, HUGE!
The massage was fabulous, I forgot my masseuse’s name but she did a bit of Thai Massage (assisted stretching) with the regular massage… glorious. I would definitely go back!

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and totally love their services. The quality of the service depends on who you get, that’s why I go to my regular technicians for a facial, massage, or haircut.
The only one thing that they could do better is to have friendlier and warmer receptionists. For example, even though I’ve been coming here for a long time, the main receptionist (older woman) who has been there and seen me for years is still a bit cold and unfriendly. I’d be lucky if I get a hi or a smile. I think she needs to lighten up a bit and be more friendly. She’s almost always the first and last person you see at the Spa after all.

Waited little bit for my appointment visit but I was reimbursed so to speak by «special treatment» I was told I receive. Of course I do not think I seriously been treated differently but it was nice, especially that I do not think waiting up to 15 minutes is a big deal.
My stylist did excellent job IMO and even tho it is not inexpensive or even close to it (lol) I was very happy. I can recommend to anyone at least giving them a chance.

My go to place for color and highlights. Everyone is very friendly. Marina is amazing stylist who is not only give you advice what she thinks is best for you but always very pleasant and professional. I never waited more than 5 min for my appointment. I had massages and facials there with several people and was always happy with the results.

I’ve been here multiple times and I absolutely love it here. The spa is super relaxing and beautiful! I’ve had massages, facials and eyebrow waxing done here. Kameron is the only person I’ll see to get my eyebrows done. She keeps my shape every time.
The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is it’s a little pricey — so I don’t get to come here often. It’s for treats!

I had food poisoning and 2 Emergency Room visits for Infectious Colitis (caused by bacteria, virus, or parasites from infected food) over the 8 day period after I ate food at Depasquale. This was the only food I ate that day, and I am usually vegan, so these were the only animal products I ate this month.
On Thurs. last week, in between spa treatments, I ate one small tuna salad sandwich, one small egg salad sandwich, one cappuccino, and 3 cookies. When I got home, I had severe food poisoning symptoms (nonstop diarrhea and nausea) day and night for the next 5 days. My physician sent me to the ER for dehydration on Monday. After receiving IV fluids and medication to halt digestion for 24 hours, I continued to feel sick and my Dr. sent me back to the ER again last night, Fri., thinking I had appendicitis since I was doubled over in pain.
After spending 6 hours in the ER last night, it was determined from a CT scan that I did not have appendicitis, but I have had Infectious Colitis these past 8 days, from eating infected food at Depasquale on Thurs. of last week. That was the only food I ate that day.
Depasquale needs to notify their food supplier, and stop leaving food with dairy products and mayo out at room temperature with no refrigeration. I am now taking 2 different antibiotics, one for bacteria and one for parasites, and had to pay for multiple Dr. visits, 2 ER visits, and a GI specialist.
Depasquale should also offer at least one vegan food option (vege wrap without cheese or mayo) and non-​dairy milk (almond or soy milk) in their Cappuccino, for those of us who want to avoid food-​borne contaminants commonly found in dairy and fish products, especially if this food will be left at room temperature.
I have been going to Depasquale for many years, and have always enjoyed their spa services. The massage and facial were of good quality, and the staff was professional and friendly. I would return for spa services, but I would not eat the food there again unless they start to use refrigeration or offer non-​dairy options that won’t spoil at room temperature.
I hope that the owners read this review and change how the food is handled. I am still sick, and it is Day 9 after my experience there.

Will definitely be visiting again! I had an event in the area, so I decided to stop by for a wash/​blowout, especially since I had been wanting to stop by for years now. I was surprised that they opened so early (they open at 8 AM, unlike most salons in the area!), but it was already packed. They also were able to accommodate me last minute. I walked in starving and was so pleasantly surprised by a breakfast bar (bagels, muffins, and fruits) as well as a bar with made to order tea, coffees. Within a few moments of settling in I met David my stylist. He was able to give me exactly what I wanted, from a picture I showed him. Two days later, my hair still looks awesome, with the help of some dry shampoo. I will definitely visit again and treat myself to some spa treatments when I am in the area. Can’t wait :)!

I had the worse cut/​dye job here. I am still in the process of fixing the damage. I went in for a ombré color and was talked into cutting as well. My cut was blunt and uneven and the color was devastating. At the root of my hair it was orange and the base it was a muddy silver color. Of course I went in for a ‘corrective color’ and she added more chunky highlights. Making the overall look worse. End result my hair is completely damaged but they did refund me.

For the type of high level service you are suppose to provide, Joanna needs to be retrained. Huffing and puffing the phone and lack of enthusiasm is one to be desired. If she doesn’t like her job I suggest she find another that is more suited. I was calling to pay for a service and rather get disgusted because I did not know certain information (like the time) is no reason to treat me as she did on the phone today. I am completely appalled!!!

Since moving to NJ from NYC I have been searching high and low for a top notch salon that does blonde balayage/​hair painting… and finally found the most amazing colorist, Luz, at Depasquale Salon! Remarkable talent and color technique. Can’t wait to be a regular.

This place rocks! Yes, it’s not cheap but trust me you are getting top notch service & they pay attention to the details. I could get a facial or waxing done at a lot lesser price but they use quality products. For waxing I would often break out — not at this place — their wax is excellent! Facials — what an experience! Complimentary drinks, snacks, etc. You can’t get better than this in terms of a salon and they are ALWAYS busy in there so I see that I am not the only one who loves this place. It’s a place you can’t go often as it’s pricy but when you want to splurge on yourself — go to this place– you will not regret it! I love it!

The best salon. From massages to facials to all my hair and nail services… Each and every technician never seizes to amaze me! They do the BEST glazes and bayalages I’ve ever had. I’ve been to salons around the country and DePasquale by far delivers.

My first and last time here. When I called to make the appointment I requested they put me with someone well experienced cutting short hair and pixie styles. The secretary assured me that all the stylists had rigorous training.
First off I waited 25 minutes for my appointment because the stylist «didn’t know I was here» even though I checked in. I have a pixie cut that’s short on one side and gets longer on the other. I brought in a picture from the last time I got it cut, told her I wanted the same exact hairstyle. Well, she shaved one side and gave me a bob on the other. I kept begging her to put layers and texture like in the photo and she was very confused. Had to get another stylist to come and fix it.
2 hours later…
The second stylist definitely saved the day, but overall there wasn’t too much she could do.
End of the story, I paid 65 $ plus tip to get an awful haircut. Embarrassed and can’t wait until it grows back so I can get someone to fix it. Management did not offer any on the house services or products. Just like, too bad your haircut was so awful we had another stylist come and fix it, meaning that since I had to tip two people I actually paid more than I would have.

Ok. First of all let me say that I have been on the fence for some time debating if I should write this review or not. I also have gone back and forth on what star rating I would give. Let me explain…
This review is based on my salon experience only. Appointments are booked using a European Level style system which basically means that each person is designated a level. The higher level person you book, the more expensive your service is.
Without giving any names, the person I booked was a level 3 (I have been with the same stylist for over 2 years). My appointment consisted of two services: a color and a cut.
My stylist greeted me and escorted me to the changing room where I changed into my smock. She then brought me to the color section at which point she asked me if I still liked the color and if I had any problems or wanted anything different. When I said I was happy and wanted to keep everything the same, she then asked me if I wanted a cappuccino or a snack. I asked for a cappuccino at which point she said she would be right back. This is where it gets interesting…
My stylist left, a cappuccino was brought over by a counter person and then an «assistant» (aka a student from their beauty academy) came over with the bowl of color. She said she was going to get me started. She applied the vaseline around my hairline and then she started applying my color. I was waiting for my level 3 stylist to return, but she never did. Brfore I knew it, the assistant did all the color for my hair. She then let it process, took me over to the sink to pull the color through, rinsed it out and then brought me over to the cutting chair. I saw my level 3 stylist once when she came to the sink to «check» on me. REALLY?!
When I questioned her as to why she did not color my hair, she told me that this was standard procedure for any appointment booked with a level 3 or higher. Since when, I asked. I have been there countless times as well as my family members and this has never been the procedure. She then told me since my account was not marked that I did not want this to happen, that is how it was booked. But she assured me that she was the one who mixed the color. So I then asked her what I would be charged for this and she said it would be at the standard level 3 price. That is when I flipped out.
I then demanded to speak with a manager who reiterated what the stylist told me and when I asked the manager what I would be charged her response was at the level 3 price since that is what I booked. But she would note my account so this wouldnt happen again.
I then rather harshly explained to her that there was no way in my right mind that I would pay a level 3 price when I had an assistant color my hair. That is basically fraud! Why would I pay for a premium level of service that I booked and have an assistant/​student do the work. If I wanted that I would have booked my appointment at the academy where the prices are ¼ of the salon prices.
After my rant, she agreed to lower the price to a level 1 price for the hair color. I did pay that but even still, the person who did it was a level 0.
I am so fired up about this experience that I want to find a new salon!!!
The debate with myself is that when the person who I booked does my hair, I leave happy. She is a great stylist and gives a great cut. I would rate her a 5. But right now, I am torn on if I will ever go back. I travel about 40 minutes to get to the salon and pay a lot of money to come here. I dont mind doing that, but I wont do it when I am getting SCAMMED!!! And that is what I felt like happened!!!
If anybody has any suggestions on a great salon, I would love to hear it (anywhere in Hudson, Bergen, Essex or Passaic counties, or anywhere in between).

This is two times in a row that the «spa experience» has fallen flat at DePasquale. My husband & I went in for massages (which were nice & the masseuses were good). However, part of why I spend nearly $ 300 is to get the entire spa treatment.
Last time I took my mother-​in-​law & they never brought our cappuccinos, there was a party of excessively loud women in the «quiet room» & taking over the bathroom that the staff refused to quiet/​control regardless of requests to do so by myself & other patrons. I was never given any sort of response to that except, «well make sure next time everything goes smoothly».
Well, this was the next time & neither my husband nor I ever received our cappuccinos before or after our massages (waited over 30 minutes both times, while other patrons received their drinks). It may seem like a small thing, but it is part of what I look forward to — when that doesn’t happen, you are put in a bad mood & it becomes more difficult to enjoy your experience.
When checking out, I asked if maybe the cappuccino machine was broken. I was told that «no» it’s fine, so I explained what happened. I was told that I could speak with a manager. She came & I explained what happened… her answer was «I’m sorry, we’ll make sure that next time everything goes smoothly». Can you stop telling me this & actually provide some sort of service to fix these issues, especially because you didn’t live up to this promise from last time.
I will be taking my business else where for massages & will be sure to share the bad customer service experiences I have had. It’s ridiculous that I should pay nearly $ 300 (on both occasions) & no one cares that their «Spa» sucks — guess that just proves that you don’t care customer service of your clients.

I like to think of myself as a princess. When I was young, that’s what my parents called me. I was a princess for many Halloweens in my childhood. I have blonde hair. It all points to me being a princess.
But when I go to Depasquale, I KNOW I’m a princess. Every client is treated like the Queen of F-​ing England. The place itself is like some sort of fantasyland, a castle contained in a strip mall of Route 10, a palace that encloses you in serenity and the finer things in life the moment you walk through its glass doors (Route 10 is the moat you cross to get into the kingdom).
My first experience at Depasquale was for a massage/​spa couples session with my mom. She took me instead of my dad so we could have a girls day out. I’ve had my fair share of massages, but what happened to me during the hour and a half we spent in the spa transcended this natural earth.
My mom and I were ushered to a private room by a hostess. It was gorgeous, and resembled what I could only imagine a real princess’s massage room looked like. There was a large, round jacuzzi bubbling in the far corner, a dark, steamy tiled shower with one of those rain-​simulating shower-​heads, and two massage tables. Around the jacuzzi on its ledges were plates of fruits, cheese and crackers, and cookies. The hostess asked us what we would like to drink — water, cappuccino, etc.
We relaxed in the jacuzzi for about 25 minutes (there is a specific amount of time you can stay in it for health reasons and Depasquale follows it, I just can’t recall what it was). After, we each took a shower; I must admit, it was one of the best showers I’ve ever had in my life. The epitome of catharsis. And I can’t forget to mention the array of shampoos, conditioners and body products in the shower. I loved one of the shampoos so much that I bought a huge bottle of it in the gift store of the spa before leaving.
The massage came after shower. The lights dimmed, soft music played, and the masseuses worked their magic on us. As with the shampoo, the lotion they used smelled so divine that I bought a bottle of it afterwards.
In summary, the spa experience at Depasquale is unlike any other.
Recently, I was inspired to refresh my hair color. I called Depasquale and was able to secure an appointment on the same day I was struck with said inspiration. When I arrived for my appointment, I checked in at the front desk and was told to sit in the waiting area. Once seated, I was asked if I wanted a cappuccino or something to drink. Yes, please.
My stylist was Erlis, and she worked magic on my hair. People who know me know that I’m all about that au naturale hair color — I refused to color it until this past summer, after over two decades of keeping my hair and color my natural blonde with no treatments whatsoever. I caved during the summer and had it colored to give it a consistent look overall. But my inspiration told me I needed to get it freshened up, and Erlis knew EXACTLY what to do. She was so friendly and sweet, and I am so, so pleased with the result. I’ll definitely be booking an appointment with her for a spring color brightener.
The salon part of Depasquale is so luxurious that you feel like you’re on a movie set deliberately staged to look superbly posh. Only top-​notch hair products are used and make your hair feel so good that you end up buying a whole slew of them in the gift store (or at least I did).
Everything about Depasquale is luxurious, peaceful, and exquisite. If you don’t already think of yourself as a princess (you should, us women deserve to be treated well), Depasquale will convince you that you are of royal descent.

Sitting in the chair here for my first time with Savannah… She is fantastic and gentle with my long curly hair that I love straight. She has recommended some color options and I’m stirring here wondering «where have you been all my life». I look forward to returning in a couple of weeks for some color.
She used delicious smelling hair products and nothing to heavy. This can make or break a salon visit for me.
Bonus: I was offered cappuccino, beverages or even something to eat complimentary! Too bad I have Invisalign and I can’t take her up on the offer. Next time I’ll be sure to schedule my appointment when I can indulge a bit.

I have now been to savannah a few times as i injured my hand unable to blow dry my long hair myself. She is consistently attentive, sweet and styles my hair perfectly! I 100% trust her with my hair, she is patient and not your typical snob stylist. I feel like I’m sitting in my friends chair while she works her magic. Comfortable in silence and small chats.
