Mediocre at best. I had the seared grouper and it was cooked incorrectly and about a day away from being spoiled. The taste was incredibly fishy and when I told the server he offered me a free dessert. Nice gesture but I still had to pay $ 30 for a dish I couldn’t eat. I’ve eaten grouper all over this country and its never tasted or smelled that fishy. My husband got the fish stew and although the fish seemed fresher than mine, it had almost no flavor. Best part of the dinner was the wedge salad, which was fresh and tasty. We won’t go back.

Disappointing. We went for brunch this afternoon and the service was possibly the worst we’ve ever had. anywhere. Our waitress could not hold a thought in her head. We waited 45 minutes for any food and at least 10 minutes for each request(more condiments, refill water). She never brought half of two peoples orders! This could have been saved if the food was great, but no. It was just fine. The poached eggs were more like hard boiled, and the French toast special was bland. I will not be going there again.

Been here twice for brunch, and Dancing Fig is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat in town! The atmosphere is inviting, well-decorated, and has a fresh feel. The staff is friendly and does a great job explaining the menu and keeping up with the kitchen. They have a great mixture of modern comfort food and re-invented French dishes. The fresh focaccia is delicious, fried perogies are great, and every entrée we’ve had here has been prepared perfectly, and obviously well-planned. Definitely try the potato cakes!

The setting: I come here because my boyfriend loves this place but if it wasn’t for him, I’m not about this restaurant. First off, the setting of the restaurant is not«on fleek.» The owner has taken time to renovate the interior, particularly with the bar but unfortunately, you can see where the owner ran out of money in the furnishings. This restaurant used to be located on High Street, which is now where The Bank is located. If the Dancing Fig looked like what The Bank is now, I would LOVE this restaurant’s ambiance. I truly wish Dancing Fig was still located on High Street. The drinks: Cocktails are worth it. It is a bit higher priced than other bars in Morgantown, but the bartenders here know what they are doing. If you want a drink you can enjoy without the sole purpose to get drunk, this is the place. The food: When holding to the standards of fine dining, I am going to ignore the other fine dining restaurant I’ve been to in town, Sargasso. Dancing Fig does a decent job of fine dining. A more accurate review is that the food is like fine dining at home. The chef here is an amateur but he/she is slowly learning to master the art of plating. Aside from presentation, the taste is above average. I’m sure if I was a chef at this restaurant, I would likely come out with the same products. The price: Lunch and happy hour prices are fair. Specials of the day and dinner prices are absurd. I have not eaten dinner here, but if I am presented with the same plating style, I’ll pass on paying $ 25-$ 30 per dish for something I can cook at home.

Ate here recently. Came away totally impressed. Entrees seem expensive but all come with a generous salad. So don’t let the menu intimidate you. We had the pork osso bucco and the pasta primavera with shrimp. Both were excellent. The osso bucco was prepared with a generous helping of mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. The primavera was the best i have ever had. I think the pasta was homemade. The sauce was very light as it should be. And the shrimp tasted very fresh. The arugula and spinach salad was also terrific — very fresh and light. With the freshest snap peas I have ever had. Dessert was a pear pie. I have never had this before. The pear were delicious. The crust could have been flakier but it was very good. And the bread was terrific as well. This place is excellent. Beautiful dining room. Great service. Fair prices. Make sure you visit the Dancing Fig — I would like them to stay around a good long while.

Some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. If you are looking for a load of pasta with bland seasoning this is not your establishment. I was at The Dancing Fig shortly after it reopened and the service was subpar. The raman’s broth was a little too strong.

You have got to try out the new vibe! Sweet and intimate with a casual feel. Cocktails are spot on, The Bees Knees is seriously spectacular! Food and service was the best I’ve experienced in Morgantown! Portions were perfect, I even had some left to take home. Not to mention the dessert, omg bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream and warm rum butter, my date had the house made Tiramisu. We switched desserts half way through and couldn’t stop. Plates were clean! If you haven’t tried the new location or just want an affordable yet delicious and most pleasant night out, stop at The Dancing Fig. Best dinner experience in Morgantown!
