The burgers and fries tasted good. Our favorite item was the milkshakes. The cashier and server were nice to us. The price was $ 30 for two people.

Pros: It’s going to be a better burger than fast food. Wide variety of options in a truly inspired theme(50’s diner with each burger bearing the name of a different muscle car). I had the Camaro, and it was a great combination of rich cheese from the sauce and the bite of the banana pepper. Also, the prices here are nice. Cons: Not every burger works as well as others(the Charger kind of tasted like a hamburger with just peanut butter on it-not bad but not blown away either). Also, the fry sauce is a little on the sweet side. Overall: Glad to have them in town and I’m glad they’ve stuck around.

Very very very good burgers! The staff is so fun and friendly-I love coming here! My friend came up from Buckhannon because he was craving a Tailpipes burger. He had the bacon double cheeseburger(it is huge!!), medium well, and I had the road runner well done(avocado, red onion, mole negro on toasted bun). My daughter had the chicken strips w fries and Nutella shake… also fried pickles. Everyone left happy and full! They could sell the«fry sauce» by the gallon, I am sure. If you have not tried this place, run, don’t walk, the next time you’re craving something delicious.

The food here is pretty good. However I always have a couple issues with the place. The girls tend to wear booty shorts… and I mean booty shorts with their butt cheeks hanging out. I guess if you’re a male though it isn’t to bad… I have a couple male friends that like to go to Tailpipes for exactly for that reason. Anyway… pairing that with the fact that I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich for take out. I sat there OVER30 minutes while people who ordered after me got their food and left. The girl who took my order saw me sitting there the whole time. I went up to the register to ask about my food and a different girl came over and asked what I needed. She went to the back and no one had even started making my food(you would think the girl who took my order and saw me sitting there would have noticed something wasn’t right?). I had to wait another 15 minutes for my food. They told me they refunded the money back to my card but I never did receive the refund. That’s the second time I’ve sat in there and they forgot to make my food. I haven’t been back since– BUT the food is pretty good when you get it.

I had a really nice meal here on Friday. When I saw such diverse, extensive toppings, I did wonder if the menu was designed to hide sub-par meat. I’m pleased to say that the opposite was true. Tailpipes uses local, grass-fed meat. I ordered my burger medium and I appreciated that my meat was actually pink when I tore into it. The meat was of such high quality that I would actually be comfortable ordering it medium rare(which I almost never do). Although grass-fed beef is typically lean, this was still juicy and flavorful. I tried the cajun burger with remoulade sauce, caramelized onions, and cheese. I would definitely order this again even though I’d like to try some of the other menu offerings. The fries and fry sauce were also tasty. The fries reminded me a bit of Applebee’s fries but with the seasoning dialed down to an edible level. At roughly 8 dollars for all of the signature burgers(and fries), Tailpipes is great quality and great value. I look forward to coming back.

If you’re looking for a burger joint in Morgantown, this is it. Their menu offers a variety of speciality burgers and a vast array of shakes. The burgers are huge and very tasty. The shakes are worth trying, especially the specialty ones. Overall very much worth your time and money if you’re in the mood for a great burger, despite a meal being slightly pricier than I’d prefer.

Well if you are the mood for a good burger check this place out!!! I decided on the road runner cooked medium well and I demolished my burger and decided to share with fiancé, I fact I have him my last bite true love! The burger was cooked medium as I asked acne with cheese and avocado. I like the set up of this place very cool 50s theme and there is a tail pipe or two in the restaurant pretty neat. The ladies at front are super sweet and very helpful with ALL the choices. There are a ton and my fiancé wanted sweet potato fries instead of the regular fries and they didn’t even charge extra! Great service. My daughter got the kids cheeseburger and she said it gets two thumbs up. The only small complain I did find a small hair on the side of my burger:(but I was wayyyy to Hungary to make a fuss. So I recommend they wear hair nets as the patron might nice about it as I was. So just work on that that’s the OnLy downfall. Solid burger and decent pricing and a great price 27.30 three burgers three fries three drinks

Morgantown, Local, WV Shop and Staff As soon as you walk in you are blown away by the design of the restaurant. They have a ton of seating inside and something that is nice that I’ve never seen inside a restaurant is a «eat and stand bar». I took a picture of this and it might not be anything special, but it is very popular in sandwich deli shops. The options they have are not many, but they have enough to keep you coming back to try different combinations. Miranda was very nice. She helped my girlfriend and I to understand the menu as well as gave my girlfriend an excellent recommendation for her portobello mushroom sandwich. I had little problem with the wifi connection and she helped me with that as well. They offer fried green tomatoes to put on the burgers, and that was very good. This has to be the best local place to get a milk shake. They offer a big list of different flavors. We got the cinnamon toast crunch. It was very enjoyable. I got the Mushroom and swiss burger. They offer well-done or medium burgers. I got the well-done and it was great not too dry, but no pink. I can’t wait to go again because it is a great local burger and shake eatery.

Definitely the best burger and shake shop in Morgantown! I have been going to tailpipes for many years now and have never been disappointed by whatever I order. They are like a more local and better 5 guys. Their fries are amazing and the tailpipes fry sauce they give you with them is to die for. Although I believe it is just ketchup mixed with bow sauce, it is the best fry sauce around. They make many different kinds of milkshakes as well as have lots of toppings to choose from for your burger. They also own clutch wing shop which would explain why clutch is also so good!

Writing this review while some of the food is still In front of me. My wife and I had a few things to do with our daughter this evening so we decided to try tailpipes. I got the bacon cheeseburger My wife got the blue cheese burger We got our daughter the chicken fingers fries came with every meal. The only thing worth a damn was my daughters chicken fingers. They were hot and not bad. The burgers were so over cooked they were bone dry and had zero flavor. Just horrid. All of our fries were cold and has been setting. Is there anything worse than cold soggy French fries? We live 3 minutes from the restaurant right across the bridge in South Park so it want the drive. We spent 27 dollars and got chicken fingers that were frozen premade and put into a deep fryer as our only food worth eating. How has this place stayed in business? Review amended. The manager Lauren messaged me through Unilocal expressing her concern for our first experience and asked to let them try to make it right. We took her up on that offer tonight. My wife and I ordered The exact same burgers and we got our daughter the corvette burger. Everything was delicious and the fries were hot and good. We must have caught them on a bad evening which any restaurant can have. We will be getting tail pipes again and appreciate the quick response by a manager that seemed genuinely concerned. Getting 4⁄5 stars instead of 1. I wish more employees cared what their customers thought.

I want to say Tailpipes is pretty great, but it never comes across as more than just-better-than –average. If you haven’t been to Tailpipes before, it’s basically a Five Guys with a trendier, more local vibe. Inside their store has a pretty cool retro-diner vibe that is definitely working for me. Always fun to visit, though I tend to mostly get their delivery. The burgers are good, but are short of great. The really cool stuff they do comes with the toppings: some really cool sauces and unique toppings. I like the fried egg myself, but have gotten specials with caramelized onions, grilled pineapples, fried green tomatoes, and more. That being said, when comparing the burgers to, say, Five Guys, I prefer Five Guys four times out of five. I don’t know if it’s the size, the meat, the flavor, or what — but Five Guys just hits the«big, juicy burger» spot, where Tailpipes is more«a bit out of the box, and kind of cool.» They have some pretty stand-out appetizers with their tater tots, fried green tomatoes, chili cheese fries, and more. Still, though they’re good, they’re not great.(If you’re looking for some really stand-out fried green tomatoes, I’d suggest checking out Atomic Grill, but I digress). Though they are tasty(most are grilled and have some sort of melted cheese), they can feel like it lacks at certain flavor outside of your typical, greasy affair. The milkshakes. I’ve heard nothing but good about the milkshakes. They’re good, but not gr – I take that back. They’re pretty great. While maybe not the thick, creamy goodness you remember from your local diner growing up, I think it’s about as good as you’re going to get. And they have some really inventive recipes. Just some of their shakes: Chocolate Peanut Butter Nutella Shake, Peanut Butter Cup Shake, Mexican Chocolate Chipotle Shake, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake, and more. Personally, I’m a huge fan of the Mexican Chocolate Chipotle Shake. Seriously, if you haven’t tried it, do it now. The sweet, dark chocolate mixes so well with the subtle-yet-very-present spicy characteristics. It inspired me to look up some clone recipes, and while I’ve worked to perfect it at home, I still order it at least every couple of months. Such a good concept, and they execute it perfectly. Yum. Bottom line: good burgers, good app’s, plenty of fried and cheesy goodness, but fails to really excel at anything. It feels like a Five Guys clone that shakes up the formula, but fails to really out-do it. Still worth a bite if you’re looking for something out-of-the-box, and definitely solid food. p. s. Try out their spinach salad«Johnny Style»(basically with a cheeseburger, fried egg, and fries on top of it). Definitely a fun, unique, and pretty damn tasty combination.

This place is such a gem on high street! The burgers are creative and delicious, the homemade ketchup is great, and the milkshakes are a yummy indulgence! I appreciate that their black bean burger is hearty and flavorful. The staff are also exceptional. The service is fast and in all the times I’ve come, my order is always right and the quality is consistently good.

The people and the food here are exceptional! The burgers were excellent, I got a double mushroom swiss and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in the area. Not only their food is top notch, however. My wife is on a very particular diet and called them to see if they had anything there that met her specific dietary needs. They didn’t, but the cook took the time to prepare something special for her as we drove there. When we arrived, her food was ready and made just as the cook said he would! Very impressed such a small joint took the time to do something special like that for my wife. The food and the people here deserve your patronage and we will certainly be back and continue to recommend this to anyone looking for a great burger!

I’ve been to Tailpipes twice now and both times I really enjoyed the experience. This is a pretty fun, local establishment that provides great value for some great burgers. There is an option to build your own, but both times I have opted for one of the classic car themed burgers on the menu. For those looking for vegetarian options, they have a black bean burger that is pretty wonderful too! I’ve also tried the mac n cheese bites, DEFINITELYGETTHOSE. Seriously, they are pretty ridiculous. If you like mac n cheese as much as I do, you’ll really enjoy these bites. My only complaint about Tailpipes is that there is an upcharge($ 1.25) if you want to sub a side salad for the fries that normally come with the burger. Otherwise, this is another place on my list of great food in Morgantown and I hope I make it back again soon!

Great burger place and cool 50s atmosphere. I really enjoy the fast service, the custom burgers and names are really cool as well. The burgers are always well cooked, seasoned, and cooked to my liking. The parking is always fine, just make sure to get a seat as the place is almost always packed in the weekends!

The best college town diner I have ever been to. This place is known for three things: car memorabilia, burgers, and milkshakes. You are going to find all three here. The burgers are named after classic convertibles. I had the Corvette, which has BBQ sauce, slaw, and a plethora of other unhealthy food items and condiments that is sure to clog even the healthiest person’s arteries. The burgers were cooked to order and reasonably price. They tasted absolutely amazing. The milkshakes are eclectic, to say the least. They have Fruity Pebbles milkshakes here. While I opted to go for the less-childish Mexican chocolate chipotle milkshake, it hit my milkshake G spot. Don’t worry about the lack of parking. There’s a public parking lot behind the restaurant. Although it’s paid parking, parking tickets only cost $ 5. Parking tickets in Morgantown are a joke. Next time I visit Morgantown, I will make sure to stop by here.
