Slight Indulgence

This place is great. My boyfriend and I are frequent customers.
I can’t speak for their food, but the wine and beer selection is fantastic. The service is always friendly and the staff is knowledgable.

I used to be a big fan and semi-​frequent customer of Slight Indulgence. However, I cannot support this business anymore.
The last few times I have been in there, there have been unruly children running around and screaming at the top of their lungs. Their (I assume) mother had zero interest in disciplining them, and this store has now become an environment in which I don’t care to be.
Get rid of the unruly kids, and I’ll give them another shot.

Such a cool local shop for Morgantown. Especially when I have a hankering for some European chocolate I miss. The products are quite the range from pasta sauce to home brew. The staff are nice and the owner always has great wine suggestions as well. As for the café the food is nice and fresh. I’m all about the baked feta and the vegan panini. Friday nights are busier for dinner but with a specialized menu. No liquor for those who used google.

Had lunch with a friend. I did mot notice when i was paying but later i realized they put one more item on the receipt. It’s not much (about10 $) but i went to the shop and explained what happened. I got my money back but no apology or anything. I feel like she was thinking i was cheating or something. That will be my last time. Taste is one thing, service is another. Pretty rude.

I’ve only ever been to the downtown location. But it was amazing! The atmosphere is like a little fairy tale and the drinks are especially yummy! They have lots of candy bars I can’t find anywhere else that are really worth a try. Staff is great, helpful, and nice.

Great wine selection and a really good lunch menu… but why is it every single time I’m in here the staff seems a little holier than thou?
I could do without the snootiness I get sometimes.

Disclaimer: For those who are unaware, there are two Slight Indulgences in Morgantown. One is downtown and one is in the Evansdale neighborhood. I am writing about the latter.
Slight Indulgence is great. Just great. There is a café with a wonderful selection of food, which I have yet to try at the time of writing this.
What I do know, however, is that it is one of the best grocers in the city. Of course, its superior quality shows in the price tags.
Slight Indulgence carries a wide selection of gourmet goods, from harder-​to-​find microbrews, wines, sandwich making ingredients (I’m a sucker for their selection of pestos), as well as chocolates and other sweets.
This Slight Indulgence definitely caters to the serious foodie who knows what they are doing. However, if you are not serious about the goings-​on in your kitchen, SI is still a great place to go if you want to get something special for a romantic dinner occasion, have a friend or relative who is a foodie and is in need of a little gift, or if you just want to try something out of the ordinary.
