Your Eye’s Image

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came to this place because my brother went there but it turns out the doctor he saw moved from that office and went to Campbell. I was assigned to Dr. Baker. I was hopeful as anyone would be in going to a new doctor with the aspirations of getting new glasses and contacts. Well, this turned into one of my worst medical experiences and never thought it would be possible to screw up getting a eye prescription and measurement when one has an OD title after their name BUT it happened to me. I had to go back in the office numerous times to get retested and retested and was given numerous trial contact lenses that never quite fit and each time I was given my glasses back to try out, it would be severely off to where I was dizzy for days. To top it off, the staff is incompetent and they do not track which contact lenses you are trying out so if you go to this office you really need to track everything because they will not. Additionally, Dr. Baker is not very personable and most days she carries a frown face — I get the sense that maybe she doesn’t like her job anymore. After giving this office over 3x to get my glass prescription right, I asked for a refund — and thankfully, this is one thing they did right. Buyer beware!

TERRIBLE customer service. We went to pick up contact lenses with my teenage son. I was 3 feet away looking at glasses and they assumed my son and I were not together. He asked for his lenses, the woman coldly asked for his name and then walked away without saying a word, came back and «passed» the lenses to the counter where my son was standing without saying a word. She then walked up to the other woman and I heard her say «Make sure he pays for those before leaving». I then walked up and started talking to my son and her attitude completely changed once knowing and adult was with him. My son is 19, dresses nice, short hair and doesnt look like a thug. This was VERY offensive to me and my son.

Never had a better experience at any optometrist! They’re very patient, answer tons of questions and never «push» glasses if you don’t need them. (Ex.: my son, at another place, was given a prescription for glasses even though he has ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision because he mentioned he played computer games and they suggested these would keep his eyesight from being damaged… What??) also, the glaucoma test doesn’t require eye drops — a big plus for my autistic and phobic son!

My husband, son and I have been regular patients of Your Eyes Image for several years. We have been very pleased with the services provided and have had no issues with the customer service. The entire staff in Morgan Hill has been very helpful and responsive when needed.
My son and I are regular patients of Dr. Ruiz… he always does a thorough job in checking our eyes and giving us advice. My husband usually sees Dr. Maher and has been quite pleased with all of his visits. On occasion, I have gone with the other doctors (Dr. Baker and Dr. Maher) and found them all to be very pleasant and attentive.
When I have called to arrange appointments, I am usually able to get an appointment within a couple of days. We have also been very impressed with their selection of glasses and sunglasses. I recently had Lasik done and it was a very smooth process in working between Your Eyes Image and the Lasik doctor.

Expensive! I was a returning customer but not anymore!
Two years ago, I needed to order another set of lens but, it wasn’t time for an exam. The girl that took my order over the phone, told me she was going to charge my insurance for «half a visit». I said what… I didn’t see anyone and you’re going to charge my insurance company for half an eye exam. Needless to say I called my insurance company and had them refuse the charges.
This year after my exam, I ordered a set of lens, I got charged for «being fitted» for contact lens. Excuse me… I’ve worn contact lens for over 20 years and my prescription didn’t change. So, please tell me what they fitted me for?
My husband also got over charged. Neither one of us will go back. We asked for our prescription and will find someone else either in town or close by.

I would advise against going to this business. My mother had to go here because it is listed as a company under her insurance, and had horrible experience.
When she received her glasses back she was given the wrong frames. Not only were they the incorrect color, and brand, they were too small for her face! She brought them back and the woman at the counter told my mother that they are her frames, she remembers. Really, you remember??? She has been wearing those frames for 3 years and I had them for 5 years before I passed them on to her.
The woman offered no apology and treated my mother poorly. Ridiculous!
I am writing this Unilocal on her behalf since she wouldn’t let me go into the store to confront the clerk myself. Be wary.

I had worn contacts or glasses since I was in 5^th grade. Ugh. What a pain in the neck. I recently had PRK surgery, so I no longer need an optometrist… but Dr. Maher at Your Eye’s Image is the best if you are looking.
Dr. Maher is spent a lot of time with me at each appointment. I never felt rushed and he always thoroughly checked my eyes. He’s great. I’m gonna miss him! Awwww.
PS — The staff is also friendly and helpful. They always helped figure out my insurance and worked with me to maximize my benefits for glasses or contacts.
