I was at this store on Tuesday night at about 7pm. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Walked in the garden area and was impressed on how well the plants and flowers looked. Someone is taking very good care of them despite the drought. I would go out of my way to stop at this location again. First time I have been at a Home Depot and received great customer service. There were plenty of places to park and the entire shopping center looked very well taken care of. Sorry to see that CV Pharmacy had left the shopping center.

I shopped at the Morgan Hill store today and selected some grass seed to purchase. The item was on two different shelves and clearly marked as 7.49 each. At checkout the price came out as 15.48. The cashier asked a fellow associate to check the price. She cheerfully checked the item for correct pricing and was apologetic for the problem. The cashier was polite and friendly as well. The point I’m making here is that you as the customer must be vigilant while items are rung up. Sometimes these are simply mistakes but I still don’t fully trust these big box stores. I’ve given three stars because this probably was a simple mistake, if I felt that it was intentional I would have given one star.

These guys get you on returns if you happen to not have your receipt, as happened to me. Somehow the item cost me 17.99 before tax in CA. Then retuning the unused item somehow the total returned with tax is 17.37 ???

Some employees are really knowledgeable. If you talk to the right person, it saves you money and time. Unfortunately, those people are usually pretty busy. Make sure you have enough time to hang around for your turn. They have a good return policy which make me more willing to try DIY.

The 5 stars are 100% for Brandon in the flooring and window coverings departments. My husband and I were in this morning to buy a piece of carpet and some window coverings. Brandon was so helpful, patient, and knows his stuff! He clearly takes pride in his job and in Home Depot in general. Hopefully the management at Home Depot reads these reviews, because If they haven’t already done so, Brandon needs to be acknowledged as an excellent employee. My husband, who rarely says much about these things, said as we exited the store, «What a great kid. You should write a Unilocal review.»

My problem is that I’m used to the TERRIBLE Gilroy depot, so MH’s attentive, knowledgeable staff makes me feel like I’m on a hidden camera show. Another orange vest asking if I need help? And actually HELPING??! Am I being punk’d!!! ANOTHER successful trip to the hardware store. Suck it, Gilroy!

Went in to buy spray paint and some get some ideas for a couple wood projects I’m working on. Was met by a store employee by the name of Victoria. She was awesome in assisting me with the spray paint and all kinds of ideas for my projects at home. Thanks a lot for your stellar advice and great words of wisdom. I’ll be requesting her for sure when my next paint/spray paint project arises.

If I could give Morgan Hill Home Depot negative stars, I would! Good customer services from the associates in the departments, but horrible customer service from the cashiers. Most of them look like they aren’t happy to be there and treat customers super rude and disrespectful. I wont ever be shopping here again.

Several years ago I would go here and expect to be completely ignored by the staff. That was ok as long as there was a check out clerk. Now when I go in the employees actually acknowledge me and offer assistance! Where am I? When I go in now there are also people in the paint section and appliance section! Again, where am I? Things have certainly improved in the past few years. I also love the fact that they have self check-out stands. I’m in and out in minutes most of the time.

Cleanest HD I have been in, almost thought I was in Lowe’s until I saw the orange vests. Surly checkout girl demanded I acknowledge whether or not I wanted to apply for a HD card. No means no lady.

Considering how much I despise going to Home Depot, no one is more shocked than me that I would give my recent visit FIVE stars! Let’s start with the fact that I walked in and immediately had the usual experience: I say«how are you doing?» to the first Home Depot woman I see(Grace) and she replies«can’t wait to get off work.» Put such a bad taste in my mouth that, as I am staring at tiles, I am cringing as I see another Home Depot person coming my way. Here’s where everything changed: Her name is Suzanne. She is knowledgeable. She is helpful. She offered recommendations… and even came to find me with another option after I was already thrilled about the first stuff she showed me. Are you kidding? Was I still in Home Depot or in the Twilight Zone? I don’t know but if I thought they could hire ten more people like her, I would stop going to Lowe’s — even if their merchandise and stocking/organizing is better. As I was checking out, I had to deal with Grace again(completely unpleasant!). I asked to talk to the manager and she was totally snarky as she called the manager up. I said a few nice things about Suzanne to her and walked out, still shaking my head that I finally had a decent experience there.

I’ve been to several Home Depot’s around the area and this one has some of the most helpful associates. Every time I walk in, I’m recognized and welcomed. I’ve been assisted with extended circumstance returns and remodel projects. Overall, I’ll chose this location over other neighboring ones.

I am selling my Home Depot stock. Customer service is at a all time low. No one in paint, no one at customer service and no one will answer the phone even when I am calling from inside the store.

The girls at the customer service desk are very rude. I went up to ask about a price check on an item because I had thought I saw it with a different price at the Home Depot off De Anza. The dark haired girl said that she could only check the price at the Morgan Hill Store. Apparently, picking up a phone and making a quick call for a price check is too much to ask. I had to call the other store for the price check. Additionally, the garden center is very small and does not have a large selection.

I actually had an employee come by and ask me if I needed help. What a difference. They’re usually so busy, they just don’t have time so this was a nice change.

I would give 0 stars Rude employees! My mom asked an employee where an item was, he pointed her to the wrong aisle. My mom asked a different employee where the item was and he responded«AISLE12CAN’T YOUREAD?» I don’t know what corporation allows employees to speak to customers like that. Spoke to a manager and they offered me a giftcard, no thanks I will no longer be shopping at the Home Depot since they allow customers to be treated like dirt.

Called looking for a portable ac unit. Was told they had 8 in stock. Drove to Morgan hill from San Jose to pick 1 up. They only had window ac units. Said«they are technically portable» would do nothing to help remedy the situation. No your product when quoting stock to anyone !!!

Apparently this home depot has glowing reviews, but I just felt the lack of customer service. I asked about tension rods(you know the ones in closets) no one could find them. Asked about Tarps, was pointed to the paint dept, no tarps. I ask 3 different employees about cutting wood, they all called to the department, yet I waited 15 min for someone to show up… nothing. One employee even saw me at the end of aisle, but never ackknowledged me, rahter just keep sweeping. Last item, soil liner for a grass box, no such product to be found. The only saving grace was a employee named jessica with a hoodie who really tryed to find what I had asked her for, but with no luck. She was very friendly and tried to help. I just moved to the area, and I am looking more at Ace or Lowes(which is out of my way by 10 miles, compared to home depot is literally within 5 min walking distance). I hope this comment hits mangements ears and even corporates, because if your in the business like Frys who is into selling stuff cheap but lacking customer service then at lease tell me at the door, because I will expect just that. Lack of.
